Vision and Gratitude for the 2023-2024 Term
Vivian Muciri (Kenya)

Below are some learning points I found to be important for daily application:

The Annual IIGL board meeting was help on Zoom on June 3, 2023. Current and returning President Vivian Muciri (Kenya); muciri.vivian@gmail.com shared these remarks:

I’m willing to continue on serving IIGL for the next term 2023-2024; to be able to move the agendas that we have set within the board that we’ve not achieved yet within my tenure. So that by the time I’m handing over to the next board, to the next President, it will be from a place where there’s much work that has been done and they pick up rather than, they pick up from where they have an ease to transition into their vision rather than tying loose ends. So that’s why I reapplied and accept the continuous of serving this time.

Thank you for your willingness to serve and to hold forth and for your commitment. So, I congratulate you as the president and looking forward to engaging with you, looking forward to fresh ideas, fresh energy, and a fresh year. It is indeed a good start and we’re looking forward to seeing how the next year will look like. So, congratulations. Welcome to the board. Thank you for your service and thank you for your continuous willingness to serve and to your continuous service from different capacities within the board.

It’s a delight and honor to be part of this team. I will not have it any other way. Thank you for the members who have joined us and listened in, who have shared, because you have highlighted and from the discussion, I’ve picked up around five things that I will table within the board. We will see how we can address the challenges. How to make the board serve the student much better and see more joining, more becoming active and more growth for the students so that they’re able to start and finish. Having experienced similar, I perfectly understand the challenges the students are facing to submit assessments and intend with the board to work on addressing it. So, congratulations, everyone. what I’m saying to the team that joined in; it is doable and looking forward to seeing you guys. Thank you very much. Thank you for this team too.

In Closing, for me, IIGL is more a family, we have built a community that has relationship beyond the institution itself. I pray that it continues to be where people have the sense of belonging, Uplifting, and holding each other through different challenges. And, as a board, the commitment to serve, the diligence, to give of ourselves, of our skills and of our time is amazing. And I like to say thank you to every person who’s here, both the board members, executive team, and those observers who joined. We are grateful for your time today. Looking forward to engaging, moving forward, and looking forward to the team that’s here, that are not part of the board, joining the board when they’re able to and when they qualify to and have this opportunity to serve. Finally, may you be blessed for that which you give. As you poured into this noble institution, may you find people who will also support you when you need help. Have a blessed day and I’m looking forward to engaging more and more within the Board and outside the Board.

What Others Are Saying

Why IIGL?

Below are some comments from new and returning IIGL Board Members:
Corresponding Secretary: Cheurombo Pswarayi (Zimbabwe) 2nd Term
I intend to support the board, and I am honored to serve the president Vivian. I am honored to serve with the other fellow board members so that we continue with our work to make IIGL impact more people and so they can benefit from what we’ve benefited from. So, my vision is to have more people benefiting from the program. I will infuse positivity within the team.
Recording Secretary: Udeme Idem (Nigeria) 2nd Term
Thank you for the opportunity to serve. My vision is to support the board of the directors in the actualization of the IIGL vision. To render effective services in the aspect of information dissemination, timely reporting of minutes of meetings and other responsibility assigned to me by the president and other board members. To ensure that we move IIGL to the next level and also bring on more students on board, ensuring that we have more graduates into the society to impact and make a difference in the world one person at a time.

Aisha Ibrahim (Nigeria) 1st Term
My vision for the next term is to support the board in every decision they’ll take. To help students submit their assessment on time. I want to encourage students, be available to assist students that need help in submitting their assessment on time and so they can move up to graduate on time and become blessings back to IIGL

Kathleen Oweegon (USA/OR) 2nd Term
I am so constantly inspired by all of you, literally inspired to tears. You all are amazing people, and I am so honored to serve with each one of you. And I look forward to another year of being of service to IIGL. And my vision is to continue to support and empower the board and the students, to the best of my ability that we may bring forward more and more inspiring emerging leaders to continue to change the communities and our world in the way that you all already are. I’ve been, doing this about almost maybe a year or two less than you. I have never served on a board this long, and I once served on five different boards at the same time. And when I realized how insane that was, I dropped all of them except IIGL because IIGL is the one organization that I have ever been affiliated with that has made such a difference in the lives of so many. And I am honored to walk alongside of all of you to continue to make a positive difference in every way we can. I’m grateful and honored to accept.

Thomas Shereni, (Zimbabwe) 3rd Term
Hopefully that my third term will be very exciting in helping IIGL to go forward and to recruit more students that has healed us to be leaders in any level or capacity. So, I’m thankful that I will be part of this team to the end.
President Emeritus: Ethelbert Umeh (Nigeria)
I’m so happy on IIGL and the wonderful work IIGL is doing in the world. In the next term, I will work with the board members to carry the vision of IIGL to the next level. I hope for, I look forward to the wonderful working relationship with all of you as always. I have the honor and privileged to serve. IIGL is world to discover, a world to experience, a world that inspires and produces leaders around the world. So, it’s always a pleasure to serve IIGL So in the next them I will work in alliance with the board to move IIGL to the next level. Especially I look forward to working with the board in the next one year to make sure that IIGL have at least one or two graduates to join the alumni committee. So, I look forward to working with the board to ensure. That we have fresh new graduates.

Make A Difference
Dream Team 22
Please join Dream Team 22 as our goal is to have 22 people contributing $22 per month. We understand that money is energy and that to sustain and build IIGL we need a lot of people pouring their energy into this endeavor on a regular basis. We also know that not everyone can afford to commit $22 a month – especially our students, who live in countries with economies in which this amount can be equal to a weeks’ salary. So we are offering two options for those who wish to become a part of the Dream Team. One can commit to a $22 a month contribution or to spending 22 seconds each day holding the vision of IIGL becoming financially sustainable by the end of 2023!

Please join the Dream Team and help us create an energetic foundation to support the transformational work of IIGL! You can really make a difference in the world by making a modest contribution of time or money. To make the $22 a month commitment or a one time donation, click the link below. To become a member of the Dream Team 22 by committing 22 second a day to help us hold the vision, contact Deb for details: drosen2@wi.rr.com
