Keys to Success
Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

This book is about understanding and applying 17 Keys to Success, that have stood the test of time; made the author accomplish his dreams and influenced countless other people to become success masters Every reader who does the same is destined to reach the pinnacle of success corporate ladder and help others to move from where they are to a
place called there. Listed below are several quotes that got my attention along with why I found them to be important!

“The most important part of this book is not written on its pages but is already in your own mind.” This is important to me because, everything in life begins as a thought so I can achieve anything that I believe and perceive in my mind, meditating upon it repeatedly. Due to the fact that my thoughts becomes my words; and my words becomes my actions; and my actions be-comes my habits.

“If you would plant for days, plant flowers. If you would plant for years, plant trees. If you would plant for eternity, plant ideas.” This is important to me because it reveals the truth that the spiritual world is superior to the physical world. The physical things existence is temporary while the spiritual things are eternal. The trees and flowers planting starts as a thought which when developed manifest into the natural world. Ideas spring from invisible thoughts in the mind so, it is important for me to focus on the spiritual things until they become more real to me, than the physical things which are temporal in nature.

“Your success in life will depend a great deal on your ability to know much about a specific area and to perform extraordinarily within it.” This implies that I should study to acquire knowledge about my area of specialization and to apply that knowledge in my life progressively and repeatedly then I will be successful. I have realized that the more I study is the more my knowledge in-creases, then as I apply what I have learned in my life, my understanding and wisdom grows exceedingly.

“Definiteness of purpose will act as a magnet to attract to you the specialized knowledge necessary for success.” This is important to me because, definiteness of purpose acts as the hook that catches particular information I need to accomplish victory. As far as I am concerned is the end of the means by itself as points me to the destination where all thoughts and actions should be directed towards.

“Definiteness of purpose makes you aware of opportunities related to your purpose and it inspires the courage to act on them.” This is important to me because, it makes it clear that knowing my definiteness of purpose will make me to awake to different unlimited opportunities, connected to accomplishment of my goal and to have zeal to explore them.

“The greatest benefit of definiteness of purpose is that it opens your mind to the quality known as faith.” This is important to me as it makes me conscious of the fact that if I know exactly what I aim towards that will expose me to faith (the hand that receives what God has already provided by grace) which will help me to receive all that I need, since it is the currency of all heavenly resources.

“Great success is the result of one’s understanding and using a positive mental attitude (PMA).” This is important to me because, it alerts me that huge success is directly linked to my personal under-standing and the extent to which I apply positive mental attitude in my life. So I am going to strive to increase my personal understanding through meditation of the knowledge I already possess and applying a positive mental attitude
consistently.

“Our real wealth is the intangible power of thought.” This is important to me because it alludes to the certainty that my thoughts are the most important possessions that I have, which I can harness using the law of attraction, to accomplish my definiteness of purpose.

What I have Learned?
I have learned the key secrets that have become the pillar of my life as I pursue my goals. These studies have helped to experience a certain level of mental maturity that I can easily apply in situations that I face on a daily basis. For example; one of the goals that have become a life habit in me is to read at least 2 motivational books in a month. This goal has helped me to strengthen my mental capacity and it has boosted my energy levels. In the process of reading these books I also ensure that I have taken time to put most of the principles to practice and I have been doing this for the last 2 years. One of the principles that have made a tremendous impact in my life is the principle of meditation; I set aside 15 minutes every day to silently reflect on my life goals and continue to build a picture of who I want to be. I have also learned to tape the secret powers that are hidden in deep silence to boost my energy levels. The power of meditation has helped me to focus on matters of importance in my life. This is what has helped me to endure a rigorous time table and still finish my two levels of study with IIGL. Whenever I feel depletion of energy levels I resort to meditation.

The power to lead: I am a leader not because I am in a position of authority but that I take challenges; through my studies with IIGL I have also learned to be actively involved in my community. I help in community projects and offer leadership mentorship to young people who are pursuing various kinds of studies. My studies have helped me to show initiative and at the same time be creative. I gather young people every 2 months and equip them with leadership skills.

The power of affirmation: Every time I woke up in the morning; I look in the mirror and talk to myself. I tell the person in the mirror that, “you can become all you want be as long as you believe in yourself.” I have learned to use the power of affirmation as a yardstick to measure the level of my moral. This principle has taught me to harness the power of positivity. I always feed my mind with health thoughts and do away with negative thoughts because they are parasitic by nature. I have learnt to confess things that attract what I want to be. There was a period when I had fallen behind my Level Two studies and I thought of giving up; but the power of affirmation changed me and gave a new course to take. I told myself that nothing can stop me to accomplish what I desire and what I desire is to become a knowledgeable leader; so I have to complete my studies. I resisted the fear of the unknown and confessed every day that I can do it. I went back to my study schedule and resumed my studies and within a short space of time I was back on track.

Building my image: The greatest lessons I have learned is that; my mind can transform my image into anything that I desire to be. What I believe is what I become. I can become what I intend to be as long as I capture it in my mind. I don’t need to live by the dictates of other people; because I am myself. What people think of me should not affect who I believe I am. This concept has helped me to deal with my inferiority complex which had haunted me for a long time. I now believe that I am made in the image of God and no one can change that; now I live with an image that is aligned to my values. This approach has inspired and motivated me to connect with people who value my independent image. I have dealt with my frustrations and disappointment which were a result of poor imaging. The books that I have dealt with in my first two Levels of my studies have made a tremendous impact on my thinking pattern. The books have altered all the traditional beliefs that were dumped on me by my parents and school teachers. So I have taught myself to be sure of the thoughts that dominate my mind on a daily basis. I have developed a personal plan that ensures that my mind focuses on things that are motivational to me. For example; every morning before I go for my daily routine I tell myself that; this morning is going to be great for me and I am going to meet wonderful people. I am going to rejoice and be glad in it. This approach injects a sense of certainty in me and I can approach my day with the zeal of a crusader.

Students/Graduates In Action

IIGL Congratulations to Level Four Student on Kanthari Fellowship
Congratulations to IIGL Level Four student, Oluwatosin Isaac Adeosun (Nigeria) tosinmiles4u@yahoo.com because he has been invited to Kanthari in India for their 7 month Fellowship program beginning in May 2020. Isaac shared, “in 2018,I started a project which I tagged “’Project Save Nigeria Technical Colleges” with the intention to help re-brand Technical and Vocational Education in Nigeria. Today Nigeria Government Technical Education Board is one very important aspect of education sector that has been neglected. The students are learning in a very deplorable environment. The students who are meant to be highly skilled citizens in different line of profession are learning without practical tools and equipment. The Instructors are not motivated because Government has decided to pay little attention to this education sector. I was selected to be in Kanthari in May 2020 based on the aforementioned project idea to further acquire more knowledge and skills on how to execute this beautiful idea. So far, my team and I have visited 2 Technical Colleges in Nigeria and donated some electrical practical tools and textbooks to the colleges.”

IIGL President Ethelbert Umeh (Nigeria) also recognized Isaac as a student he’s mentored by saying, “I’m also happy to learn that in the past IIGL has produced Kanthari fellows including our past President Emeritus and Graduate, Noeline Kirabo (Uganda); current President Emeritus and Graduate Felix Iziomoh (Nigeria) and Past Vice President and Graduate, Lawrence Afere (Nigeria) and now Oluwatosin from Nigeria.”

Make A Difference
Dream Team 22
Please join Dream Team 22 as our goal is to have 220 people contributing $22 per month. We understand that money is energy and that to sustain and build IIGL we need a lot of people pouring their energy into this endeavor on a regular basis. We also know that not everyone can afford to commit $22 a month – especially our students, who live in countries with economies in which this amount can be equal to a weeks’ salary. So we are offering two options for those who wish to become a part of the Dream Team. One can commit to a $22 a month contribution or to spending 22 seconds each day holding the vision of IIGL becoming financially sustainable by the end of 2018.

Will you join the Dream Team and help us create an energetic foundation to support the transformational work of IIGL? You can really make a difference in the world by making a modest contribution of time or money. To make the $22 a month commitment or a one time donation, click the link below. To become a member of the Dream Team 22 by committing 22 second a day to help us hold the vision, contact Deb for details: drosen2@wi.rr.com
