What if you could wave a magic wand and all of the problems you currently see in your country would suddenly disappear? There was real prosperity for everyone, tolerance, true justice and equality, brotherhood, peace and plenty and honest leaders who only cared for the welfare of their people – all people. What would such a future look like?
This is the question we posed to our IIGL student in the autumn of 2011 when we launched a contest entitled “I Have A Dream.” We challenged our students to time travel into the future of their country and see it as they would like for it to be. The future belongs to dreamers; dreamers who are willing to create a vision, hold an intention and then do the necessary work to make their dreams come true. That is the essence of what IIGL is all about: empowering dreamers who are working toward positive planetary transformation.
The book of Proverbs, chapter 28, verse 18 says “Where There Is No Vision, the people perish…” Stated plainly “If you don’t know what you want, you are not likely to get it!” So this contest was an attempt to challenge our students to create a concrete vision for the future of their country.
Thanks to the generosity of Virginia Essene, founder of the Share Foundation (www.sharefoundationnetwork.com) We were able to offer $2,000 in cash prizes for the seven top contest entries. They were as follows:
First prize ($700)
Muthoni Mucheu (Kenya)
