Rugigana Anthony – Assessments

As a Man Thinketh

Assessment by Anthony Rugigana (Rwanda)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea according to the mind of the writer is self improvement and this therefore led me to grasp the idea and improve myself which I am trying to adopt and stay life tunes of it. My mind is molding me where to be and where not to be, who to stay with and not, where to go and not, who to be my friends and not. The main idea is that I can have right mind towards all I am going to do with no strings attached negatively or with no negative motive. I try to make sure that whatever I am thinking, doing, planning, has to be in the ream of yielding me right output and the entire environment I am working with for they are my mirrors.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

The seven key ideas to me are as follow:

i. Courage

Courage which I am exercising always and its much important where the writer was more encouraged regardless of all challenges he went through.

ii. Self esteem

Self Esteem is helping me go through season an out of season moments, as it helped the writer.

iii. Character

Character, trying to make it when I am alone and it was so to the writer in that character is who you are when you’re alone

iv. Humbleness

Humbleness, a driving pillar of life to ground on always, which also was to the extent that he inspired generations to generation before and still.

v. Patience

Patience is a key to achieve goals set which I am to strongly exercise, which characterized the writer to even finish his writings, it was patience in him and the rest the book is composed of.

vi. Serenity

Serenity trying to be perfect that at the end of it all I can be more free from world complications that are on rise and have no antidote, other than one’s decision of developing character, developing positive thinking, humbling myself. Self esteem in times of trials, patience in times of trouble and courage for out of struggle backed by good mind behind then opportunities fits one’s chances of life. .

vii. Positive mental thinking

Positive mental thinking is an idea that I will be trying to put in every day exercise. This generally has done nothing but polishing me out of negative thinking I have been always been with. Its important in that the results of it all is to make one an asset in human resources.

Below are some lessons that will help me:

Courage is even right now on me to make sure that I do what you asked me to do regardless that I don’t even know you face to face, I am also reading very hard by courage behind to see myself fulfilling what I vowed to finish. Its courage that will still drive me through all stages of my course in IIGL.

Self esteem is becoming bold in nature that I should out compete this competitive world of today. And this still will help me to over come all handles of live where I can make it if others can.

I can only achieve serenity after dressing the code of character that complies to let me free from anxious or stress in my entire life. Humility is the only way forward to personal development, the way up is grounded on humbleness, because pride comes before destruction.

Positive mental thinking will be of helpful to me always because negative thinking always yields nothing but negative actions.

The quotes that were most important to me are:

“Men do not attract what they want, but what they are.”

I am therefore tying my best to develop a character that can market me of what I am to the entire nation behind the scene and close my sphere.

“A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.”

What is in me is what will identify exactly who I am exactly to the people in my sphere and therefore my task to prove right being in the surroundings I am living in

“Cherish your visions. Cherish your ideals. Cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow all delightful conditions, all heavenly environment, of these, if you but remain true to them your world will at last be built.”

It’s my yearning heart that I cherish all while all pouring out of right springs of real inner being in me. I resist percolations but rather develop real honest moves in me these days.

“Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves, they therefore remain bound.”

I will always not fear to improve my circumstances always to avoid static ways of living.

“Every action and feeling is preceded by a thought.”

My thoughts are real and sure to yield much realistic to the end users from today.

“Right thinking begins with the words we say to ourselves.”

Means that always I will be uttering rightly because a tongue is a flaming fire once I happen not to put this into considerations, then all will be negative effects to me before it affect others

As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts, can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.”

Considering always what I have to exercises and when to do it applicably.

“How highly favored he is!”

And noting the saintly character and wide influence of another, they remark, “How chance aids him at every turn!”

They don’t see the trials and failures and the struggles which these men have voluntarily encountered in order to gain their experience; have no knowledge of the sacrifices they have made, of the undaunted efforts they have put forth, of the faith they have exercised, that they might overcome the apparently insurmountable, and realize the vision of their heart.

They do not know the darkness and the heart aches; they only see the light and the Joy, and they call it “luck”; do not see the longing arduous journey, but only behold the pleasant goal, and call it “good fortune”;

“The circumstances which a man encounters with suffering are the result of his own mental in harmony.”

The above puts me no where but on an empty flatter stage and I only humble myself for the fate I have encountered in life as my own course. And drive carefully myself to avoid negative trends of life that I may encounter again.

There is nothing in the book I did not agree with period. Some ideas were new to me though.

The major exercise the book challenged me with was to put character in me the way I saw it rightly applied in life. It is a process as well as humility also is a process for me. I am even up doing the exercising each day and with time the exercise will impact in me the tunes of character. I believe my character will grow.

There is nothing I am putting right, or nothing I am against of in the book. It just challenged me and a number of lessons that I will much exercise to be a real right person and worthy to live a meaningful life. No further comments overall.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Anthony Rugigana (Rwanda)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

According to the mind of the writer (Richard Bach) in his fable story Jonathan Livingston Seagull (Bird), the main idea that I have picked is, I have developed passion in life, Even if it leads me into expulsions from my family as the Jonathan Livingstone seagull was expelled from the flock family but lastly achieved what he yearned to have which was. It brought me to understand the meaning of life which is none but freedom the only true source of life. The main idea therefore was passion in life, freedom backed by forgiveness and love to all we live with as seagull went back to the flock family and he taught flock members regardless of the abandonment the family had imposed on him. I have got to know that I can do everything and there are no limits to my possibilities. I real need to apply this to the implementation of any desire I hold in me. And by his example, Jonathan Livingston Seagull proves the rightfulness of this message. Generally the Jonathan living in us (fear,) is no more in me.

The story message also led me to be inspired by any chance that may clock my way not to squabble on what I may be holding at hand always thinking that I can not explore other heights of life. Generally the Jonathan living in us (fear) is no more in me.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

The ideas in the mind of the writer that I found important are as follows:

i. Independent as Jonathan too was

ii. Risk taking

Risk taking as Jonathan took, paving ways of perfection in life then only heaven we are holding in hands

iii. Positivity in life

Positivity in life as Jonathan had a feeling that he has already arrived where he wanted to be but in actual sense when he was not there, avoiding always what the eyes are seeing for they only shows us limits.

Choice in Friends
Looking for intelligent friends like Jonathan did to Chiang who took him further and gave him more knowledge and lastly patience as Jonathan waited until he achieved what he yearned to reach at.

v. Perfection

How to feel right always in all situations and to speak my truth.

vi. Freedom

I said we are missing freedom and I am going to try by all means see that I get freedom that will impact the whole nation.

vii. Patience

I am trying to exercise more patience after reading this book.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

The idea of independence according to the mind of the writer will help me in that, even if it needs me to be alone as long as I am holding passion of life as well as a routine of freedom, I will not fear the circumstances that I may encounter.

The ideas of risk taking has even helped at the moment where I have a friend in Kenya Kisumu whom I invited to visit me but at the moment have no means to keep him as a hosts, after reading the mind of the write immediately invited him and by 8th/04/2014 he will be with me in my simple environment and I account this as a risk in inviting a Bishop when no clear means to take care of him and if I tell you his standards, you can’t believe that I did so on an influence of what I have read in Jonathan Livingstone seagull. This Bishop is the head all Cross Style churches in Kenya, married and even has children almost my age. I count this as real a step adopted from this readings. He is a man of high integrity and I am imagining how I will be sleeping with him in one bed when he is almost my Daddy, but I can’t reverse the decision I will rather sleep at my neighbors but have decided to host him and take charge over in all basic needs of life he is to use.

Even you as IIGL Director feel touched to host you in your country no matter the standards I am on, I will take charge over you and I am to gain through your mentoring skill and experience of life you will lecturing me. Stay informed that out of love I am inviting you in my country any day you feel like just communicate and come period.

The idea of perfection is to be exercised from this very moment where I used to keep quiet to my neighbors but these days I am always chatting with them as well where I am doing Internship at the moment. Trying to be right always.

The idea of positivity is always trying to be positive in nature which I have started even these days exercising by avoiding anger, fear and boredom. And this is feeling that I have reached at whatever I want to achieve

The idea of looking for intelligent friends is to avoid being ignorant in life endeavors. And this then has to help me look for intelligent friends always.

Avoiding shortsightedness, this idea will help me focus beyond my imaginations. Because our eye shows us nothing but only life limits.

Freedom which is the main idea is the only law of life that will be guiding me to real have the actual meaning of life. I said we are missing freedom and I am going to try by all means see that I get freedom that will impact the whole nation. This idea has real steamed my spirit and trying to lay new measures towards my home country and this is to be in future not now. Will keep the tunes of this book guidance and try to exercise it to my country for its real a mess we are in. I am very bold to put it clear that Rwanda lacks freedom at the moment let what come may as Jonathan demonstrated, I am too demonstrating this. “I don’t mind being bone and feathers, Mum. I just want to know what I can do in the air and what I can’t, that’s all. I just want to know.” I also want freedom nothing else period.

The idea of patience is to be the guiding tool to every thing that I am going to be exercising and if it was not patience that Jonathan had a legacy we are holding today.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“That it is right for a gull to fly, that freedom is the very nature of his being, that whatever stands against that freedom must be set aside, be it ritual or superstition or limitation in any form.”

“Set aside,” came a voice from the multitude, “even if it be the Law of the Flock?”

“The only true law is that which leads to freedom.”

“There is no other.”

“How do you expect us to fly as you fly?”

“You are special and gifted and divine, above other birds.”

It’s therefore important in that I am not going to sit in that I will see home country exercising real law of freedom.

“I don’t mind being bone and feathers, Mum. I just want to know what I can do in the air and what I can’t, that’s all. I just want to know.”

This real helped me that determination and devotion leads to success once I apply it to circumstances. This meant that I can too do what is missing home borrowing his mind and put it in practice.

“How much more there is now to living! Instead of our drab slogging forth and back to the fishing boats, there’s reason to life! We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skill. We can be free! We can learn to fly!”

I am inspired by these quotes in that what it costs to apply it home I will do it mo matter what. I fear that I posses now at the moment.

“Jonathan Seagull discovered that boredom and fear and anger are the reasons that gull’s life is so short and with these gone from his thought, he lived a long fine life
indeed.”

This therefore leaves me bold and stronger enough to fight a right battle where necessary.

“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation.”

Look with your understanding this real was important in that there are several I am seeing and think I can’t make it, but from today eyes will not implicate me to limits.

“Heaven is not a place, and it is not a time. Heaven is being perfect” it was important to me in that I have to exercise perfectionism in me such that all can go well.

“Most gulls don’t bother to learn more than the simplest facts of flight – how to get from shore to food and back again. For most gulls, it is not flying that matters, but eating.”

I developed a spirit of getting bothered by what I am yearning at but not to stay like the rest are.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

I agree with the book and the issue of heaven and faith are mysteries according to my less understanding. But then because of this statement I feel satisfied “For this reason, we both invite and encourage you to overlook the cultural or religious bias of an author and focus on the core concept he is teachings. I agree with the concepts of the writer.”

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

I had several exercises and others are still pending, one of the interesting exercises the book gave me was to love people which I am doing at work as well in my neighborhood.

It still gave me more attention and approach of dealing with freedom which is still a tag of war one to achieve it, though setting up strategies and measures under which it can be much achieved by all parties rolling in political ream Rwanda has.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

Very satisfied with the structure of questions and no more comment.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8

Keys to Success

Assessment by Anthony Rugigana (Rwanda)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main Idea is that whatever one can do with devoted heart can make him/her better as longer as fully devoted and driven by the following factors like, positive mindset, confidence, self control, enthusiasm, cooperation, imaginations

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. The idea of having a purpose in life.

This will in the future help me to save the wasted effort which I went through for the past that to find green pastures-work. I have to live and aim for a full life and put my uses to effective work always.

ii. The idea of confidence will help me avoid the following:

The fear of challenges in general, fear of Criticism, fear of those that loves us. And my ego will be to make it right regardless of what I find my way.

iii. The idea of team work.

Working in cooperation with others who are helpful to me and making sure that democracy, freedom and this will eventually bring about development to me in person and others at large.

iv. The idea of saving

Based that every rich and developed person has got it out of savings and this has to be the same system that I opted to keep my life changed. That savings will in its percentage accumulate hence forming my source of power done through accumulation of percentages set through savings. And without savings no way towards developing myself as well getting rich.

v. The Idea of initiating new strategies by avoiding to be a follower of others but to set new ways of leading myself as well others.

With reference to Napoleon Hill who was under his step mother but developed to start his own way of writing and targeting what the rich were interested in, that led his writings to be the best selling series in 1970s

vi. The idea of enthusiasm in me always to avoid negative thinking and saturate myself with all I come a cross with, open contact with different people.

The idea of pleasing myself that will be a key way to please others that I may operate with in my life endeavors. I have started using this strategy so far in my ways of living right from when I started reading this book of Napoleon hill.

vii. The idea of practicing doing more than what I expect to be paid for, is another idea that I grasped from this book of Napoleon Hill.

This will increase my returns in logical way in that its averaged that every leader has to pay more than he/she expect to be paid for. And this I have to do it with accurate thinking always as the fundamental basis and more concentration on every course of life I take while looking forward my goals and objectives.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

The above ideas will help me in a sense that I will confidently provoke circumstances that are to hinder me by avoiding fear of death, fear of loosing my loved people or friends, fear of the past failures.

On the issue of creating better world the ideas will help me in that I have started living a life of enthusiasm which is to live a positive and yielding positively to others that I can pattern with them basing on my positive living environment and walk of life.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“The starting point of all achievement is Desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.” I have a yearning heart of leading people in any way that can express what is in me, which is freedom and as well democracy.”

I have even reached an extent of demonstrating to circumstances , and when I read the above statement made by Napoleon Hill, this steers me to keep the spirit until some thing Desired is achieved and this very big Desire of what I have not in detail put forward as my goals and objective set will be reached at.

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

I conceived to be a leader even if very old but I have to be leader. and a leader is not to be right but to be more and more clear to who one intent to be a leader to.

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”

And I have absolutely failed of the past, I am setting up new mechanisms to overcome not again to be defeated as before.

“Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do. More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.”

I repeat once again that I real got a defeat and trying to come up with new measures of over coming life challenges.

“Do not wait: the time will never be ‘just right’. Start where you stand, and work whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along.”

Well, this reminded me of the plan I had last month of attending in south Africa and failed to raise a ticket but after reading this book have set measures next year of going for the course and have even laid measures of getting a ticket though not yet but very sure I will go for it next year based that tools will find me when I have started.

“Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.”

I started to work on my plans yet based on this statement.

“Our only limitations are those we set up in our own minds.”

I have led my mind live positive always since I started this course than before.

“A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.”

I will never lose based that I still posses my vision of becoming a leader.

“The way of success is the way of continuous pursuit of knowledge.”

Its true and that’s why I kept reading this book for search of knowledge

“The man who does more than he is paid for will soon be paid for more than he does.”

I lost carnal mind in me to enable flexibility and humility principle of servant hood , to be served one had to serve and feel serving beyond gains can be of great principle in me right from today.

“A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

I absolutely don’t agree with this statement.

“If you must speak ill of another, do not speak it.”

I stopped speaking ill to others but to keep silent in case any ill I encounter

“When you are able to maintain your own highest standards of integrity – regardless of what others may do – you are destined for greatness.”

I live a standard life of integrity based that I even intend to surpass others as an example.

“Persistence is to the character of man.”

It’s now 1 week with out cooking gas in the place I stay and don’t ask me how I live without cooking at my place when every day I used to cook .But based that persistence is a character of man, I am now in the second week until I get means of buying another gas and keep truck as usual of cooking food home as I used to. This then keeps me on the truck of waiting every corner of means even if it takes one month feel encouraged to wait as the principle states.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

“A goal is a dream with a deadline.” I don’t agree with this concept in that a goal may delay and other times it may face un expected events and with time being one resumes the goal to its completion.

So when you say a goal has timeline you look sure of what you’re running over but in actual sense you can never know the future of something you’re running to achieve.

Planning helps to achieve the goals set but with less experience have seen projects that have collapsed and their goals not met in time set.

So I personally don’t agree with Napoleon hill statement of “A goal is a dream with a deadline”

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

I am trying to keep a tab of patience in me though not easy, confidence in me though not easy, positive thinking though not easy based on the historical failures that I have been rolling life on. There have been much exercises but not easy to accomplish, however they are helpful once one tried to put them in laterally terms of life.

And it’s real helpful since I started dancing the tunes of the exercises in the book.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 6
B. How helpful were the contents? 9
C. How easy was it to understand? 6

Psycho-Cybernetics

Assessment by Anthony Rugigana (Rwanda)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The idea obtained from this book are the magnitudes strides under which I can improve myself towards success. The idea was that I should examine myself keenly and see myself in a more thoughts that can take me to a higher level.

Low thoughts takes us to low levels of life. The main ideas is to develop more thoughts that can take my life to a higher level and well set up environment that I will always live in. And I can reach on higher thoughts through exercising calmly and deliberate courageously and this will bring new memories in me replacing the old memories that this may automatically bring new styles of life well as backed by new higher thoughts.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. I have to imagine (ability) to form some thing new in me.

And this has to roll in my mind always and other things that I do will be backing my good imaginations or plans.

ii. Setting mechanism right away from now.

This is put in practice where my imaginations are now days thought of keenly and broadly even much more when negative thoughts are arising in me. So I already started to work on my imaginations and the ability sure will keep rising in future.

iii. Reasonable thoughts in me always that can generate good fruits of life endeavors. I have to keep clocking reasonable thoughts in me.

Not all thoughts that come my course of life should be worked on, but instead it should be scrutinized always for the best thoughts to be dealt with accordingly and in timeline manner.

iv. Feeling that we all have success in life not for particular individuals but all of us can have success in life.

None of us in life has no success and this steamed my yearning heart to work hard with a sense that success is with me not so and so. I the past felt /Africans are always failures of life but I can to know that non is granted failure min life. And this therefore gives me room of concentrations to whatever I am doing right from the point of my readings to the point of my course life I am taking.

v. Developing a habit in me especially happiness that can generate in me ways of achieving what I am pursuing in life. Happiness is a key to success and therefore feel this can drive me all the way to my destiny

vi. Feeling myself able to do all others can do.

This is a vital pillar to drive to success by adopting feeling successful even though I haven’t got it but feeling it means a lot to whatever I am taking course over.

vii. Always asking myself what I want to reach at or to achieve in life.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

Well as mentioned above the ideas will generate much in much place that I am currently carrying Internship in midst of different personalities as well structuring me into a leader to be in other areas of my knowledge acquired from the place of internship and life persuasions at large.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“What you think about can get you what you want.”

And real there is an inner dwelling of what I want to be in life and this book has generated more effort to hassle life towards what I intend to be.

“Sometimes it takes multiple listens.”

I listen much to what I don’t know these days that I can change myself based on the listening from different scholars of life or different experienced individuals.

“Set a goal with the end in mind. Do this even if you don’t know exactly how you are going to get to that goal.”

This made me draft my goals to be achieved and though no alternation of means to pursue

“If your inner critic asks “How are you going to do this?” tell it to shut up! Set the goal and remember that “How is none of your business!”

This is like said before talking to myself by the late Nelson Mandela while he was in prison by talking to himself always how he will organize the whole of South Africa.

This quote above strongly efforts me towards my destiny by shutting up inner questions of how I will make it when I have nothing at hand. This was the best quote in this book that I ponder most suitable to my situation. Subconscious will call to your attention all kinds of ways to accomplish your objective. All you have to do is know exactly what you want and never flag in your desire to achieve it.

“What I want is tabled and well scrutinized or analyzed in that subconscious will take me all the way to my success, no matter when and how it will happen while doing so.

Times will change for the better when you change.”

I real try to do the best I can and the future will automatically be the best lifespan.

“If you make friends with yourself you will never be alone.”

I have developed to make friends along my walks of life.

“You make mistakes, mistakes don’t make you.”

This time trying to avoid the same topic of mistakes by close or keen observations in life steps I do encounter.

“If you make friends with yourself, you’ll never be alone.”

True and every week-end I decided to have a friend to share small I have but to make sure I have some one a side of me that in case other wise the very person can react accordingly to the situation.

“We must have courage to bet on our ideas, to take the calculated risk, and to act. Everyday living requires courage if life is to be effective and bring happiness.”

I am encouraged in my day to day life. No worries as before and much efforts are generated in all I am doing at the moment.

“The self-image is the key to human personality and human behavior. Change the self image and you change the personality and the behavior.”

Busy looking to know the kind of sun that I hold in me.

“Emptiness is a symptom that you are not living creatively. You either have no goal that is important enough to you, or you are not using your talents and efforts in a striving toward an important goal.”

This is a challenge so far since I came to read this and I am fighting this very hard that I may get to be “full” of instead of emptiness.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

“How to succeed with the power of rational thinking.” This was a challenging topic and my wish to hear from you in what is termed as lay man’s understanding this point clearly.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

The book has much in terms of exercises in that it required me to draw how I will coordinate my activities to different people, how I will associate with people to be enthusiastic, to be more happy I have to express happenings to myself as well to others, Trying to be set what I can do and feeling its done if others can do it. All these are exercises that are a burden real to me at the moment, however will make it, if others can why not me.

Finally it hold an exercise that gave me a big blow of controlling my thoughts, emotions, and life style actions in a manner that can improve the quality of my health, my relationships, my work, and my life at large.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

Nothing found recommendable point of my reading.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 6

Success through a Positive Mental Attitude

Assessment by Anthony Rugigana (Rwanda)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main Idea in this book is that it sets forth the unlimited powers of the mind. It gives practical guides into using the mind to set and reach life’s goals. “You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by trying. Success is attained and maintained by those who keep trying with PMA.”

Unless your goal is against the laws of God or society, you can achieve it. Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement. I am busy looking to have my purpose of life and how to ascertain its style of walk.

“You are what you think. But what do you think? How orderly are your thought processes? How straight is your thinking?”

The questions above keeps me on the right truck of life by figuring out how suitable to meet my challenges.

“No matter who you are you can have a Magnificent Obsession. Every living person can help others by sharing a part of himself. You don’t have to be rich or powerful to develop a Magnificent Obsession. Regardless of who you are, or what you have been, you can create inside yourself a burning desire to be helpful to others.”

This has effected my life in a manner that who I am can be expressed to others with no excuse that I am well off or not.

“The more you share, the more you will have. Your most preciously valued possessions and your greatest powers are often necessarily invisible and intangible. No one can take them. You and you alone can share them.”

I real have power in me and very hard to observe this, but got to know that I have powers in me that are not seen and non can take them.

“Share that which is good and desirable and withhold that which is bad and undesirable.”

This is the topic of my life these days to do the right things.

“Be a part of a great cause.”

I have tried always to be part of my great mission to redeem my past performance.

“Price of ignorance is sin, sickness and death.”

I try to keep away myself from ignorance that I may not be applicable to immature death as it’s the today topic where majority are ignorant about food type they are obliged to take as part of ignorance and they ends up having cancer, Diabetes that causes them to loose life. So I am keeping myself far away from ignorance that I may not only fall into diseases but also sin as the writer sounds.

“There is very little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference! The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”

I try to pattern with the positive people and avoid negative people around me.

One of the surest ways to find happiness for yourself is to devote your energies toward making someone else happy. Happiness is an elusive, transitory thing. And if you set out for it, you will find it evasive. But if you try to bring happiness to someone else, then it comes to you. Which I real do on my daily basis so that this can at the end get back to me. Its not easy to exercise Happiness to every one however I am trying to do so that it may get back to me.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

The author of the book put loud the application of one trying to be happy to others that they may be happy to you too. This method is not so easy in a sense that, some people based on differences in religion, political differences, nature difference or cultural differences do ignore others based that they are not of the same religion.
