1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

As a Man Thinketh is very important reading material for personal life and world development in practical way. There is huge information for changing herself. It is very much fruitful who want to lives world in correctly. I got the main point from the book is ‘body is the worker of mind. Good thinking can make good world’ when I will exercise in whole environment in view of the statement, it is consider that I will be gainer.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

From this meditate book given me lot information on human mind and body. There are seven part of the book. I believe this book will be ready to lend a hand to mental and corporeal development of a people.

i. I got my first lesson learned point “Act is the blossom of thought.” Any people of the world who what he do, it is create by his thinking. At the present my mind is full of activity with the book but I am trying to work my job. I did not do the job properly, so at the moment I read the book.

ii. My second lesson learned point is“Men mind may be linked to a garden,” which may be intelligently cultivated or allow running wild.’ At this time I can speak so as to when I think absolutely the entire environment after that its result is better in my job, personal life and the society.

iii. My third lesson learned point is “Men are anxious to improve their circumstance, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound.” I think, I have sole person responsible of my conditions. When my thinking was get positive to complete the work, after that I can get hold of the success in my job. Last year when all of my colleagues got promotion even my junior colleague, then I was ill with depression in job, later on I have changed my approach to all level office colleagues. At present I am getting its result in my office.

iv. My fourth lesson learned point is “Clean thought makes clean habit and it is clear that change of diet will not help a man who will not change his thoughts. When a man makes his thoughts pure, he no longer desires impure food. Here I understand that when my thinking will be positive in my environment then I will sleep deeply, my health will play better and I never desire impure food. So positive thinking will reduce my tension. I will live better in healthy and wealthy.

v. My fifth lesson learning point is Good thoughts and action can never produce bad results. Bad thoughts and action can never produce good results. It is a high-quality statement for management better in the world. We see who bad habit are, he all the time generate his group with similar man. As the same to say when a man thinking positive for a work, its produce will be high-quality. Always I am a manager in my family. From time to time other members of my family don’t take my decision easily and then I think their manner positively. It makes me cheerful. So I noticed that positive thinking and action makes better result.

vi. My sixth lesson learned point is ‘All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts’. Here I got my achievement in effort, after getting admission into PhD program; I was round about not a success to draw to a close the program as a result of my work load. It was not smooth for me. But my thinking was that at any rate I will finished the program, later on I did the program. So I believed that if a man achieve to success, he would be success.

vii. My seventh lesson learned point is “Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom.” I got a point of long and patient in self control .It will be helpful to control my environment a long. It is very important for peaceful life in a society. All of the people respect him who can build up his calmness of mind. My PhD supervisor Professor Wakil Ahmad is one of calmness of mind person in my society. I was his student from honors level to my PhD program. When he was VC of National University of Bangladesh that time one day I went to him with PhD work, then all staff of national university was stay in strike in front of VC’s room. There securities were given me barricade for not to going him. I was standing opposite of his room. The Pro VC of the university told something to them who were stay in strike then they came to close, by that time my sir was going out, I made him greeting. He asked my work progress. But that situation was not permitted asking work progress. After that condition I respect him lot. I will try to build up myself likes type of people.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

“Self control is strength;” self-control refers to the capacity for altering one’s own response, to bring into line with standards such as ideals, values, morals, and social expectation, to support the pursuit of long term goal self control helps to overcome obsession, fears, addictions, any kind of unsuitable behavior puts a control of our life and our reaction. It improves our relationships, develops patience and tolerance. Right thought is mastery and Calmness is power, say unto your heart Peace, be still” I consider, this person responsible completed this quotation no more than me. Causes of those, two years in the past I got harm from my social group in my profession. After every so often when I well again my harm, I consideration that I will gave sentence to them. One of my low-ranking colleague gave me opinion to misshapen my mentality ,from that I have try to controlled myself .It is one of my mastery knowledge .From there I get going to practice to developing my self- control in following way:

a. Identifying the thoughts and beliefs that push me to behave in uncontrolled manner.
b. Identify my emotions that lack control, such as anger, melancholy, unhappiness, resentment, pleasure or fear.
c. When I need to display self-control, repeat for a minute or two one of the following affirmations:
I am in control on my reaction
I am in charge of my behavior.
I am gaining control of my emotions.
I am the master of my life.
Day by day my ability to have power over my judgment and thought is greater than ever; If I know how to control me self, at that moment the human race will be benefitted from me a large, so strength of mind is power & pleasure.

In this book the person responsible may be call attention to the following statement only for me. “As he thinks, so is he; as he continues think, so he remain. I supposed with the intention of that which I fail to remember subsequent to from time to time, it will continue stay at the back to my intelligence in my human being and on a daily basis work even entire activities of life course for me, my the human race and for the world.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

Absorbing the volume is very easier said than done to me at a time. I think to understand these contents need more point in time at first. Later than two to three month I possibly will contribute to my opinion on the subject of the books content masterly. All the way through the chapter ‘vision and ideal’ is little bit not understandable for me. I try to make be aware of, with reference to the chapter, I failure, despite the fact that I read a few. When I will read the chapter taking more time, at that time I think my conception will be understandable and concrete on the chapter. It will be useable other than at now I have no clear concept on the chapter. Despite the fact that, I could understand that it is attention-grabbing and helpful for me.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes, the book contain has over and done for me to complete the cardiovascular exercise. It was easier said than done to complete the exercise in a few days. The contents are a large for me and the topics are associated to human life steps forward, each and every one do not come at together. As a result I think it is could do with read time to time for build up me. Its causes of that, I will not come up to scratch to remember if do not the read and exercise the book for ever and a day. So I will make an effort to bring into play the book in every movement in my life at personal and official for development life style also work.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

At present I have little knowledge on the book, so it is easier said than done to say something about the book put into effect, if any question come to pass to the point on how do you overcome a strident environment related to your job using an idea from this book; it seems would be further more of an exercise.

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

Jonathon Livingston Seagull is very important reading material for self development in practical life. There is huge information for preparing herself. It is very much fruitful who want to reach his goal in correct way. I got the main information from the book is ‘Steadfastness makes succeed’. I believe that this statement will enrich my technique in job and daily work. It is not only for me in the least man who will understand the meaning of the statement and bring into play it his work.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. There is some information for learning myself. It is a book which can make me to put up better in daily personal family life and will help me to do something for better world. My first lesson learning point is Individuality makes to known with others all the way through works. It is as same to me. Always l prefers individuality in my work; from that everybody can separate me from other through individual work. At this point I can share my experience little. Always I try to make new things in my job, which is not in my job responsibilities given by the higher authorities. There I try to do more work for serving activities correctly. I made web page for my institute willingly though my department which did not give me order to make it. After 1 year of my web site then our department gave direction to open email address only, but I did web site for my institution. As a result I got first choice to job from my higher authorities of the department.

ii. My second lesson learning point is “Slow and steady wins the race.” In this book Jonathon Livingston seagull wins by steady, if I try again and again I will be succeeding in my professional career development. It is similar to my nature. When I start to do any work, most of the cases it gets barricade, sometimes It begins several times then I can achieve the result. Presently there are my 19 colleagues in work made their seniority and got promotion on the basis of seniority list but I didn’t. From 2004 I have tried to make understand that I am senior than them, nobody do not work with my paper. At present I am going to success.4 -5 times I started it from first stage. Sometimes I feel tired but most of achievements in my life come same way. There I stand with lot of long-suffering.

iii. My third lesson learning point is ”there is no challenge, no failure.” If I do any new work, there have been success or failure but who don’t start new one, he has no failure, no new achievement. So there have not a success in his work. To take a new challenge need to act more work, more thinking, and more hard work. As a result who take new challenge and who don’t are not same people. In 2007 I took a project on digital teaching materials development. There my schools all staff got more pressure to do the work. It was a new idea for them. a number of my staff finished it as it should be however a few could not finish the work. It was as well as hard for them. After that they have over and done with the job with lend a hand of other colleagues. So I am able to match the point in the company of my job.

iv. My fourth lesson learning point is “one who has touched excellence in his learning ,has no need of that kind of promise.” In my long years experience I took a number of new challenges in my educational job, like teachers performance evaluation, there most of my colleagues made barriers of the evaluation. Then I nodded it obediently. Some of my same level colleagues try to bring to an end my work. Their reason was, why do you more than other people work, do you get more advantage from higher authorities; so that few days I stopped up to doing the work. After some days I started it carefully with my colleagues’ movement. Once upon a time they went to appointment my higher authority aligned with me. They tried to demolish my evaluation, but I got success. When I see my success in my work then I forgot all of their activities. Once more I start new work.

v. My fifth lesson learning point is “Speed was power, speed was joy and the speed was pure beauty.” At the earlier I told my experiences though I read speed is power, here I can pay a regular contribution to my work force, when I achieved success one by one in my work then I get extra energy to get going new one. On the way I have done in my job. In teaching improvement I started reschedule class routine then time table maintain for trainee teacher then time table maintain for teacher trainer after trainee teacher performance evaluation after that teacher trainer performance evaluation. I started along with digital contents development and its exercises in classroom. All success makes me speedy in work.

vi. My sixth lesson learning point is which made by Jonathon seagull ‘I do not care what they think, I’ll show them what fly is; I will be pure outlaw, if that’s the way they want it. And I’ll make them so sorry;’ this lesson is same to me. Here fly was important for gull but important for me is dame other people excess word. When my colleagues were laughed by negative way for my work then I try to pay no attention to their words for success my job. Once more I learned from the lesson that is, never be hot and bothered from all.

vii. My seventh lesson learned is ‘Collision would be instant death’ when two speedy thing doing same work from contradictory face and if made accident there confirmed wipe out. So there need to be captivating carefully. Its’ successful story is in my job older times. At what time I have done successfully all of the past employment in my job, at hand I was not alert on my other colleagues. I was doing my work with speedy for success, on the other hand malignity colleagues have shown maliciously. So I was victimized in occupation. If I would pay special attention on my job and colleagues I could stay away from the embracing state of affairs. Obviously I got knowledge from the book supplementary.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

This book can lend a hand me in my daily individual life, in my personal work; I have two kids .One of them did not like to study regularly. She wants to watch television serial all time. She does not keep attention to study. I try to make her concentration with study little by little. So failure is the mainstay of success and whoever can’t do it, but I can do it. Man is designated to face challenges in his life.

Yes there are statements like “Victory was short –lived” this quotes made my notice .now and again we do more get pleasure after getting go forward so get laziness and little bit out for the count about the future plan activities, by this time we miss some point or back a few. If we don’t forget next job conscious on the next job, there we will do little enjoy subsequent to getting a success. It will be wise decision to do a little enjoy after getting victory.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

When I read the book first time some words was not easy for me, this book has huge bits and pieces which I can bring into play in my personal daily life style development. But I have the same opinion with a point that for all time a man will be achievement. Close at hand all points are getting successful, it is not possible in a life with the purpose of a man will success in all area 100%.every now and then he will success 100% every now and then less a little and sometimes he will won 100%.This is the fact but you will try to do 100% achieved. As a result I am dissimilar a little at this time.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes, this book contains exercise to complete for the person who reads. I made a small number of exercises in the time; I think time to time this book will help me in my life cycle. In point of fact all of the exercises of the book are not possible to finish a time. It is need in my whole life exercise. Causes of that I will not retain information if do not read and put into effect until the end of my time. So I will try to bring into play the book in every movement in my life at personally and officially for increase life style also work.

I think with my little knowledge, if any question come to pass to the point on ‘how do you able to use an idea to your family member’ It will be further more of an exercise.
