Maepe Bob Phillip – Assessments

As a Man Thinketh
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

To stimulate men and women to the discovery and perception of the truth that “they themselves are makers of themselves.”

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. As beings of Power, Intelligence, and Love, and the lord of his own
thoughts, humans hold the key to every situation, and contains within themselves that transforming and regenerative agency by which they may make themselves what they will.

This idea is important to me because as a being created by God I have his virtues of power, intelligence and Love so I realize that with application of them in my life I can change circumstances in life and achieve all the dreams I have envisioned in my heart. In my life I have used this idea to pursue Project Management while still working; I was able to balance both work and school simultaneously and was successful.

ii. “He that seeketh findeth; and to him that knoweth it shall be opened” for only by patience, practice and ceaseless importunity can a man enter the Door of the Temple of knowledge.

This idea is important to me because in life I have learned that, to obtain certain things I have to press in with patience until I have reached my destiny. The key to success here is persistence to hold on until something happens. In my life as a leader I have discovered that the best investment I can make, is to accumulate more knowledge through studying books, so I have learned so much and developed a reading culture that has helped me to always be a step ahead of the people I am leading.

iii. Man’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth.

This idea is important to me because, I have found it to be true in my life. I have seen that it is important to control my thoughts to saturate my mind with good thoughts, as my thoughts become my words, and my words become my character and my character become my destiny. A few years ago I began to have a desire to be an author of books, so I began gathering those thoughts and writing a book. At the end of last year I published my first book, which was a dream come true.

iv. Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind, and to take root there, produces its own, blossoming sooner or later into act, and bearing its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstances.

This idea is important to me because I have realized that both good and evil thoughts come to my mind, to produce their circumstances so I have to always filter them to allow only good thoughts to take root in my mind. In my life I have observed personally that cultivating good thoughts is important especially when faced with life challenges like unemployment, sickness and mourning for a departed loved one.

v. Thought is the fount of action, life and manifestation; make the fountain pure, and all will be pure.

This idea is important to me because I know that everything either good or bad begins as a thought, so I have learned to intentionally reject bad thoughts, on the other hand I select and act on good thoughts. There can be no action without thinking. Positive thinking leads to making right decisions in life. I have made a habit of meditating on the word God on purpose to saturate my mind with it, so as to keep my thoughts pure and godly.

vi. All achievements, whether in the business, intellectual or spiritual world, are the result of definitely directed thought, are governed by the same law and are of the same method; the only difference lies in the object of attainment.

This idea is important to me because it still shows the importance of having good thoughts as they are directly linked our purpose and destiny in life. Mastering my thoughts as person leads to transformation of my life. Before I got married I aligned my thoughts to marriage and even read books that talk about things a person has to do before entering marriage.

vii. The vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you enthrone in your heart, this you will build your life by, this you will become.

This idea is important to me because I have observed that what I think about most of the time, what I hold close to my heart is what will eventually manifest in my life. I have liked poultry farming from a young age, so now I am a poultry farmer as I have crowned it in my heart over the years.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas will help me in a practical way in that they will challenge me to master my thoughts to think more strategically, on purpose so as to transform my life to be a better leader, who will influence more people to think positively and make right decisions in life.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“The Universal Law of Attraction obeys us no matter which way we
choose to think.”

This quote got my attention. It is important to me because I have seen that I attract what I dwell my mind on, as my thoughts bring their circumstances, therefore I have to strive to master my thoughts all the time so as transform my life progressively. The universal law of attraction works to attract both good things and bad things, so it imperative, for me to control my thoughts to attract good things, and disallow bad (evil) things that are harmful to my life.

“Concentrated thinking is the great secret that separates the winners from the whiners.”

This quote is important to me because I have observed that people who think deeply unearth treasures that makes their dreams a reality, but people who are lazy think do not achieve anything and live the life that is designed by someone to dominate them.

“By the right choice and true application of thought, the human ascends to the Divine perfection.”

By the abuse and wrong application of thought, he descends below the level of the beast- This quote is important to me because I have learned that my thoughts are very powerful as they determine my destiny in life, so it is wise to choose good thoughts that are in agreement with the will of God for my life.

“Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit.”

This quote is important to me because in my life there are times that I have reaped good fruit, on the other hand there are times I have reaped bad fruit. As I investigated to find out the cause in both cases I traced the fruits to the thoughts I have planted and watered in my mind. So I have learned that is important to always guard my thoughts as they shape my words, my actions, my character and eventually my destiny.

“A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances.

This quote is important to me because it shows that I can determine and control the circumstances that come to my life by mastering my thoughts. This operates through the cause and effect law so negative thoughts are guaranteed to bring bad circumstances, while on the other hand positive thoughts are bound to bring good circumstances.

“As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.”

This quote is important to me because it shows comparison between the discipline in the physical and the mental dimensions of life. As a person I can strengthen my thought life by exercising my mind to intentionally choose good thoughts over bad thoughts. Through disciplining my mind to cultivate and act on good thoughts, I will make right decisions in life.

“Dreams are seedlings of realities.”

This quote is important to me because I have observed that a dream that has a vision come true and its manifestation brings positive change in my life.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

No, I understand everything in the book and strongly agree with the author in all points.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes the book contained exercises for me to complete. I completed all the exercises and found them helpful to me, in that as I read I asked myself questions as to how I can apply the text in my life. As I read chapters frequently my understanding increased and I imagined myself practicing what I Have studied.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea is that as people God created us with potential, so we have to be aware of it and dare to explore our full potential so as to be able to reach our God ordained destiny.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. The subject was speed and in a week’s practice he learned more about speed that the fastest gull alive.

This idea was important to me because as a person I am supposed to learn something new every day, so that I can grow daily and not remain stagnant where I am. I study the Bible and pray to God on a daily basis, so that I can grow spiritually in faith into maturity and not remain a baby spiritually. Bible Study and prayer require discipline which is needed for me to be consistent in my spiritual walk.

ii. Jonathan Seagull discovered that boredom, fear and anger are the reason that a gull’s life is so short, and with these gone from his thought, he lived a long fine life indeed.

This idea was important to me because boredom, fear and anger are some of the anxieties we come across at one point in our individual lives, so our positive response when facing them is the one that ensures that we conquer them. In my life I experienced fear and boredom after the passing away of my dear wife, so I confided in the Holy Spirit to comfort me in my grieving and mourning. As I opened my heart to the Holy Spirit He healed and restored my life, so I was able stand up and move on in life.

iii. “It Works” when you know what you are doing.

This idea was important to me because a person who speaks these words is someone who knows his staff, who has practiced what he is doing a long time with extensive experience and therefore thoroughly knows what he is talking about. I have used these words in my life as a seasoned poultry farmer emphasizing, that rearing chickens together as an association is better than rearing as an individual because it enables a farmer to access the market with ease.

iv. The only difference the very only one, is that they have begun to understand what they are and have begun to practice it.

This idea was important to me because in my life knowing who I am in Christ, and living in the light of who I am has improved the quality of my life. Now that I am saved I understand fully the purpose of God for my life and how I can fulfill it. I understand that I am the ambassador of Christ, and have been given the ministry of reconciliation so I reconcile unbelievers with God through Christ. To me Christianity is a lifestyle so my quest is to be obedient to the word by practicing it.

v. Here were gulls who thought as he thought for each of them, the most important thing was to reach out and touch perfection, in that which they most loved to do and that was to fly.

This idea was important to me because I know how much a person is inspired when he is around people of who think like him. There is power in unity due to diversity of ideas, strength and knowledge. I was attending one of mainline churches which is governed by the law not the spirit, so I moved into a Pentecostal church where I now fellowship with spirit filled Christians. Therefore my faith has now been made stronger, due to spending more time with spirit filled believers and I now have more hunger to reach out to the lost.

vi. You’ve got to understand that a seagull is an unlimited idea of freedom, an image of the Great Gull, and your whole body, from wingtip to wingtip, is nothing more than your thought itself.

This idea was important to me because man is created in the likeness and image of God so he has the potential to co-create as well as God has deposited that ability with him. With the potential that God has invested in us we have the freedom to unleash it to the fully to solve any problem in our generation. As People we are unlimited in potential, we only limit ourselves by our small confined thinking. I believe I was born to serve so I have made my mind to be versatile, to agree to serve in leadership capacity everywhere I am whenever the need arises. Therefore I have served in leadership capacity in different organizations like tertiary student organizations, Community Based Organizations, church and continue serving to date.

vii. “Jonathan” he said and these were the last words that he spoke,
“keep working on love.” When they could see again, Chiang was gone.

This idea is important to me because I know that the last words that a person speaks are the most important. This reminded me of the last words that Jesus spoke to His disciples before ascending to heaven, “you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you shall be my disciple in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the world.” I still remember the last words of an American missionary teacher who left me with English to teach in her absence. “Teach the students with the guide of the manual from where I left off till I return.” Those words still linger in my mind because they were last instructions, which I had to execute and give an account to her when she returns from her country.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

This ideas or lessons will help me in a practical way in my daily personal life in that now I am going to attempt to discover the hidden me, to understand and unleash my full potential. I believe that as I persist in unearthing the hidden potential in, it is going to help me to understand myself better and become a better leader. As I release my full potential my dreams and purpose will be realized. When my dreams are realized my faith will be strengthened and other people will be motivated to pursue their dreams as well.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them ad comment as to why they were important to you.

“There is so much to learn.”

This quote got my attention because it reminded me that in Christianity and leadership in general a person always have to learn new things, accumulate more knowledge so as continue growing. The moment that a person stop learning then he stops growing and stops living, because life becomes routine and boring.

“Such promises are only for the gulls that accept the ordinary.”

This quote got my attention because it reminded me that, when I was in high school I was called an average student academically, but I refused to be limited by that limitation mentality, and I believed I wouldn’t have reached university if I have allowed myself to limited intellectually. So even today I still refuse to accept the ordinary life but strive to change the status quo.

“The gull sees farthest who flies highest.”

This quote got my attention because, it reminded me that as a leader I should aim for the top because the bottom is too much crowded. People who operating at the top can see everything below them therefore have a broader vision, but people who are operating on the bottom have a limited distorted vision due to the hindrance caused by crowding.

“You need to keep finding yourself, a little more each day, that real, unlimited Fletcher Seagull.”

This quotation got my attention because I have found out that as I keep tapping deeper into my potential slowly but gradually I get know myself better. It helps me to get acquainted with nature of my potential which is unlimited.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about, or are the ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

Heaven is not a place, and it is not a time. I do not agree with this idea because heaven is a real place where God dwells, heavenly hosts and saints that have departed from the earth through death.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes the book contained exercises for me to complete and I completed all the exercises and found them to be helpful as they sharpened my learning skills.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so please comment.

No, there is nothing. I feel the questions deal with all important points.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10 ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8
B. How helpful were the contents? 10
C. How easy was it to understand? 8

Keys to Success
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is that through understanding and applying seventeen keys of success, that have stood the test of time, made him accomplish his dreams and influenced countless other people to become success masters, every reader who does the same is destined to reach the pinnacle of success corporate ladder and help others to move from where they are to a
place called there.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Potential

Once you learn how to harness the tremendous potential of your mind and how to organize the knowledge you already have, you can turn them into power necessary for attaining your definite major purpose. This idea is personally important to me because since I discovered the great potential of my mind, and the abundance of knowledge I possess I am gradually harnessing them to align them with the purpose of God for
my life. I am daily unearthing this potential to explore it fully and so far I am reaping wonderful results. After publishing my first book in my native language Sesotho, I met many people who requested me to translate the book to an English version. When I realized that there is a high demand for the English version of the book, in response I
translated the book into English “Healing from Heaven” with an extra chapter, so it is an expanded edition and I am going to publish it very soon. Now every when it is available all people’s interest will be catered for in terms of language preference, therefore I will reach a much wider audience.

ii. Time budgeting always pays dividends because each moment is made to progress towards your goal.

This idea is personally important to me, because in life I have learned and seen that managing time well, has many benefits when done consistently. Time is one of most important resources God has given us here on earth to find, follow and fulfill His will for our lives. In the past I had a desire to become a project Manager, when I got an
opportunity to enroll for Project Management I used it. Since I was still engaged in a daily work employed, I had to work and study simultaneously. I was faced with a challenge of scarce time as I had to balance work and school however, I am glad that I budgeted my time well and emerged victorious as I passed my studies well and became a
qualified Project Manager. So even now I am still reaping benefits of effective time management, as I am able to multi-task without compromising the quality of the deliverable expected.
iii. Make it a habit to read daily, not just newspapers, which merely keep you current but materials which expand your mind; they will put you ahead.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned and cultivated the reading culture through observing lifestyles of people, from different walks of life who are highly influential and successful. As a leader I have learned over time that one of characteristics of effective leadership is reading. One of my favorite leadership quotes of all time is “Leaders are readers.” I have developed a reading culture, as I always strive to be ahead of the people that I am leading and I am glad most of my followers have adopted it as well. As a person who have developed a habit of reading different literature daily, it has become easier for me to understand my studies at school, as my reading and writing eloquence keeps on improving as I practice more.

iv. A mastermind alliance is build of two or mind working actively together in perfect harmony toward a common definite object.

This idea is personally important to me because practicing it enables me to cultivate intellectual capacities of others and merge them with mine, to get maximum results through unity of diversity. I have applied this principle in my life to accomplish the task that was set before me. I have had the privilege of being engaged in different socio-economic national projects in my country. In particular let me give an example of the National population census in which I participated in capacity as an Enumerator trainer and Assistant Supervisor. In this survey I had enumerators which I supervised, who
counted households members and gave me a daily report of their field work, my duty was to ensure that they perform their roles and responsibilities effectively and coordinate their work, so our concerted efforts were aimed towards accomplishing one goal. Each one of us had a clear and specific job description which we had to execute
in order to accomplish accuracy both in terms of quality of personal information and quantity. At the end of the survey we accomplished our goal, as I succeeded in mobilizing the team to work together in harmony towards a common definite purpose.

v. If you put your mind to work with a positive mental attitude and believe that success is your right, your belief will guide you unerringly toward whatever your definition of success may be.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe that I can achieve anything that I intentionally put my mind to, focusing upon what I seek to accomplish. I have seen that the law of attraction works to attract whatever a person is inclined towards and constantly
dwell his mind upon. If I am optimistic and see success as one of human rights, that will influence me to strive to be successful without fear because I believe I am entitled to it. While at university pursuing Bachelor’s degree I recognized the need to establish students planners Association, I put my mind on it using a positive mental attitude, it was a mammoth task as I had to mobilize students and approach our lecturers to rally behind us and eventually my dream was fulfilled. I am glad that through positive mental
attitude working together with my colleagues we were successful to a point where we launched the association at both local and national levels. Even now the association is still going strong so we laid the foundation, and those that come after us are still running with the vision and expanding it.

vi. Applied faith is the adaptation of the power of infinite intelligence to your definite major purpose.

This is idea is personally important to me because I believe that, adoption and application of it in my life will help me to be consistently connected to unlimited power of the mind, and flow in it to align my thoughts with my definite major purpose. Applied faith is
active as it puts into practice what it believes and therefore, gets positive results to change negative circumstances in life. I used applied faith in to persuade people to partner with me in order to register a research consulting company realizing that there are
opportunities in the local market that needs to be explored. It had been my dream to become a management consultant, a few years prior to becoming a qualified project manager and it came to pass.

vii. Self-discipline ensures that you use your mental attitude to attract the things you want and repel the things that threaten you.

This idea is personally important to me because self discipline is one of my personal mottoes, as I have realized that it helps me to live a life of integrity and faithfulness. Self Control is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit that I use in my life to harness other fruits to
work effectively and efficiently. Self discipline has kept me from indulging in things that could have harmed my life, either by being paralyzed or early death. I use self discipline daily to direct my thoughts to walk in divine health, to constantly dwell on 1Peter 2:24b
“you were healed by the stripes of Jesus.” Through cultivation of that mentality I always repel thoughts of sickness and attract divine health, for which Christ died on the cross for me to experience it.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I have been stirred on the inside when I read stories of people who prospered in life using these 17 principles, so I am determined to apply them in my life for personal development and to make others aware of them as well. I am willing to change my mind set about prosperity and to continue unleashing my full potential, in order to accomplish my definite major purpose in life. I am going to persist cultivating positive thoughts, to continually think accurately on purpose and establish mastermind alliance to use other people’s training, experience and knowledge as if they are mine to fulfill my definite major purpose.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them ad comment as to why they were important to you.

“Study every person you can think of who has achieved lasting success and you find that each one has had a definite major purpose. I have studied different people from all walks of life who have attained lasting success like Bob Proctor, Bill Gates, Kenneth Erwin
Hagin, Benson Idahosa just to name a few and found that they all had a specific main purpose which they directed their thoughts and actions towards.

They were not successful by accident; they took it upon them-selves to pursue their definite major purpose by taking. Responsibility to practice their art repeatedly until they were perfect in their work.

There is a famous quote which says if “you can practice one thing for one hour every day, after three years you will be an expert in that thing,” so I believe it is true.

“The most important part of this book is not written on its pages but is already in your own mind.”

This quote is important to me because, everything in life begins as a thought so I can achieve anything that I believe and perceive in my mind, meditating upon it repeatedly. Due to the fact that my thoughts becomes my words; and my words becomes my actions; and my actions be-comes my habits. King Solomon the wisest and richest man that ever
lived in his words put it this way, “as a man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7a).” So that is true, all of live revolves around thoughts that we cultivate and develop to attract what we desire to become in life.

“If you would plant for days, plant flowers. If you would plant for years, plant trees. If you would plant for eternity, plant ideas.”

This quote is important to me because it reveals the truth that the spiritual world is superior to the physical world. The physical things existence is temporary while the spiri-tual things are eternal. The trees and flowers planting starts as a thought which when developed manifest into the natural world. Ideas spring from invisible thoughts
in the mind so, it is important for me to focus on the spiritual things until they become more real to me, than the physical things which are temporal in nature.

“Your success in life will depend a great deal on your ability to know much about a specific area and to perform extraordinarily within it.”

This quote is important to me because, it implies that I should study to acquire knowledge about my area of specialization and to apply that knowledge in my life progressively and repeatedly then I will be successful. I have realized that the more I study is the more my
knowledge in-creases, then as I apply what I have learnt in my life, my understanding and wisdom grows exceedingly.

“Definiteness of purpose will act as a magnet to attract to you the specialized knowledge necessary for success.”
This quote is important to me because, definiteness of purpose acts as the hook that catches particular information I need to accomplish victory. As far as I am concerned is the end of the means by itself as points me to the destination where all thoughts and actions should be directed towards.

Definiteness of purpose encourages you to specialize and specialization leads to perfection.”

This quote is important to me because, lets me know that with definiteness of purpose I can be able to focus on one specific area in my life to put into practice what I have learned and become an expert in that field.

“Definiteness of purpose makes you aware of opportunities related to your purpose and it inspires the courage to act on them.”

This quote is important to me because, it makes it clear that knowing my definiteness of purpose will make me to awake to different unlimited opportunities, connected to accomplishment of my goal and to have zeal to explore them.

“The greatest benefit of definiteness of purpose is that it opens your mind to the quality known as faith.”

This quote is important to me as it makes me conscious of the fact that if I know exactly what I aim towards that will expose me to faith (the hand that receives what God has already provided by grace) which will help me to receive all that I need, since it is the currency of all heavenly resources.

“Great success is the result of one’s understanding and using a positive mental attitude (PMA).”

This quote is important to me because, it alerts me that huge success is directly linked to my personal under-standing and the extent to which I apply positive mental attitude in my life. So I am going to strive to increase my personal understanding through meditation of the knowledge I already possess and applying a positive mental attitude
consistently.

“The value of wealth that comes with success is that it carries with it the lessons you have learned in acquiring it.”

This quote is important to me because, I have found it to be true in my life that every time work diligently to accumulate wealth, there are essential life lessons I learn which helps to develop my skills as a person and valuable experience that helps me to grow into maturity.

“Our real wealth is the intangible power of thought.”
This quote is important to me because it alludes to the certainty that my thoughts are the most important possessions that I have, which I can harness using the law of attraction, to accomplish my definiteness of purpose.

“Tact is the habit of doing and saying the right thing at the right time.”

This quote is important to me because, I have learned in my life that practicing the art of tact, makes it easier for me to seize new opportunities especially when meeting with people like investors whom I should convince that my proposal is viable and attainable.

“Doers take possession of their minds through self discipline.”

This quote is important to me because it let me know that as a doer I can take control of my thought life by purposely thinking on thoughts that are true, honest, pure, lovely and right. I can attract good positive thoughts that line up with the plan of God for my life. I
always strive to intentionally make good use of my time and money, so as to maximize my output however, there is still room for improvement.

“You are where you are and what you are because of your established habits.”

This quote is important to me because it is true in my life; the habits that I have developed have shaped my life to be where I am and who I am today. My habits have been translated into my personal character which directly influences the decisions I make as a person. My established habits came through self discipline of my thought life
on a daily basis.

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, your mind can achieve.”

This quote is important to me, as it affirms what King Solomon said in Proverbs 23:7 “as a man thinks in his heart so is he.” Life revolves around this principle of thought so to me it means that every time I should select positive thoughts carefully and reject positive thoughts as the dominant thoughts will control my life.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about, or are the ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

No. Everything is clear and I have no disagreements whatsoever.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes the book contained exercises for me to complete and I completed all the exercises and found them to be important as they helped me to understand the book deeply and intensified my desire apply these keys of success in my life as soon as possible.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so please comment.

PsychoCybernetics
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in this book?

The main idea that the author is trying address in this book is that we can get more out of life by changing our personal image to embrace who we are and living it out, with thorough knowledge that change starts within us and comes out.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Memories of past successes act as built-in “stored information” which gives us self confidence for the present task.

This idea is personally important to me because I make use of imagination to retrieve past successes into my memory, which makes it alive and that process makes my self-believe, that I will accomplish the present task successfully grow exceedingly. I usually use this imagination process to bring past successes into picture, when writing tests and final examinations in school, as a result I have achieved tremendous results academically.

ii. Learning

Lecky theorized that if a student had problem learning a certain subject, it could be because (from the student’s point of view) it would be inconsistent for him to learn it.
Lecky believed however, that if you could change the student’s self-conception, which underlies his view, his attitude towards the subject would change accordingly. This idea is personally important to me because I had a problem of learning mathematics in high school, so I ended up having a negative mentality towards it as a subject. My father tried to help me by finding me an aiding book with practical exercises and answers but to no avail, as I had a negative towards it. However when I went to University I began to change my attitude, about math as a subject and I passed it with flying colors. I even helped others who did not understand it. I realized that since mathematics is a practical subject it requires a lot of practice in addition liking it makes it easier to understand it more.

iii. Success

Successful men and women have, since the beginning of time used “medical pictures” and “rehearsal practice” to achieve success. This idea is personally important to me because it talks about tried and tested strategy that has been used by many success masters that have gone before us. I have also applied it in my life so I have gone before us. I have also applied it in my life so I have reaped positive results. As a pastor and leader I use mental pictures, a lot from time to time before I go out to preach in public which has made me to an effective public speaker endeared to my audience.
iv. The fundamentalists tell us that man’s chief purpose and reason for living is “glory” God and the humanists tell us that man’s primary purpose is to express himself fully.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe everything on earth is created to serve a certain specific purpose. When I know the purpose that God has put me on earth for, that compels me to pursue it wholeheartedly to fulfill it to glorify my creator, Lord. My quest in life is to glorify God in everything that God has created me to be, unleash my full potential to release and use all gifts and talents that God has deposited in me, to make the world a better place.

v. “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”

This idea is personally important to me because everything in my life starts as a thought, so it is very important for me to control my thoughts by thinking on purpose, as the thoughts I think most of the times are linked to my words, my character and destiny. My poultry farm agribusiness started first as a thought which I meditated for a long time, till it became an idea, then I developed a prototype and tested it in the market. The response from the market was wonderful therefore I decided to rear chickens on a larger scale, so as to benefit on the economies of scale.

vi. Thousands of years ago wise old king Solomon said in his proverbs: “A merry heart doeth good like medicine but a broken spirit dry up the bones.”

This idea is personally important to me because it was spoken by the wisest man that ever lived on earth, he talks about a heart that is constantly happy brings healing to the body on contrary a heart of an unhappy man leads to sickness. I always strive to strive to remain peaceful regardless of circumstances I pass through in life by being content and not allowing my peace to be determined by outward by outward conditions.

vii. Consciously practice the habit of “taking no anxious thought for tomorrow,” by giving all your tension to the present moment.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me of the radical truth that I cannot live today and tomorrow simultaneously, so being anxious about tomorrow only brings me an unnecessary stress whereas I have been given the capability to handle the present situations one day at a time.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These ideas will help me in a practical way in that I am going to imagine them, personalize and meditate upon them repeatedly to saturate my mind and heart with them, so as to apply them in my life. I will repeat this process many times as I believe that practice makes perfect. To create a better world I will teach and train others about the principles I have learned so that their lives can be transformed like mine.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“Be happy and you will be good, more successful, healthier, feel and act more charitably towards others.”

This statement is important to me because it reminds that my personal happiness brings more positive benefits to me and my influence on those around me as well.

“Happiness is a mental habit that can be cultivated and developed.”

This statement is important to me because this happiness comes from the inside through personal choice brought by knowing and accepting my identity, not based on external issues.

“We are built to conquer environment, solve problems, achieve goals, and we find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.”

This statement is important to me because it informs me that man was created by God to be a problem solver on earth and every person us born with an inherent goal striving desire which inspires him to always have purpose to achieve.

“Often the difference between a successful man and a failure is not one’s better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on his ideas, to take a calculated risk and to act.”

This statement is important to me because it makes a clear distinction between a successful man and a failure. A successful man is driven by faith to do what he believes will bring him to his imagined and pre-meditated goals while on the other hand a failure is driven by fear which makes him to withdraw from attempting anything to achieve his goals. Successful people are risk takers who do not quit until they have achieved their goal whereas failures are those who are afraid to take risks and define themselves by their past failures.

“Our errors, mistakes, failures and sometimes even our humiliations were necessary steps in learning process.”

This statement is important to me because it reminds me that past flaws and mistakes are my learning curves, which I use to improve myself to become a better person going forward in the future.

“You as a personality are not in competition with any other personality simply because there is not another person on the face of the earth like you, or in your particular class.”

This statement is important to me because as it a test to the truth that I am the original, there is no person in the whole world exactly like me so I shouldn’t be involved in rat race to compare myself with anybody because I am different.

“Thus man of all creatures is more than a creature, he is also a Creator.”

This statement is important to me because it alludes to the truth that as a man I have creative ability placed in me by God, as everything produces after its own kind. Therefore I have to produce and invent new products through the imagination apparatus given to me by God.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

Yes I disagree with the author where he says every person is the child of God. I disagree because every person must first be born again to become member of the household of God through new birth. To become a member of any family a child must be birthed by the parents of that family so becoming member of God’s family is no exception. Every person is born a sinner because of the sun of Adam so in order for him to become a child of God he must believe, accept the son of God as His personal Lord and Savior to become the child of God (Romans 10:9-10).

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes the book contains some exercises for me to complete. Yes I completed then all and found them helpful as they challenged me to do things that will help me to grow mentally and live a disciplined life that will attract success if I practice them consistently

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so please comment.

Success through a Positive Mental Attitude
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is to explain how a person can succeed in life through employing positive mental attitude in combination with one or more of seventeen success principles.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Once a principle has been acquired it becomes part of one and is never lost. Learn the principles, apply them.

This idea is personally important to me, because in my life there are principles that I have adopted which has become part of my life. I have adopted discipline, Love and hard-work which have benefited me tremendously, to always strive to excel in everything I do and become a faithful steward of time, treasures and talents entrusted to me by God. I applied this principle while I was working and studying part-time at the same time, I had to work hard, be disciplined to do my work diligently using my time wisely to ensure that I succeed in both endeavors.

ii. With each victory you grow in wisdom, stature and experience.

This idea is personally important to me, because in my life I have found it to be true, when I first published my first book I faced the problem of not being able to sell my book to bookshops as I did not have an ISBN, but when I published my second book I made sure that I got the ISBN before scheduled publication date and now my second book is in bookshelves. So with each victory I am growing in wisdom, stature and experience as I am learning going along. I believe that with time I am becoming a better author of books as I am learning from other more experienced authors who have been in creative writing longer years than me.

iii. You become a better, bigger, more successful person each time you meet a problem and tackle and conquer it with Positive Mental Attitude.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned that every time I meet a problem in my life that compels me to dig deeper within me, to unleash the potential I have which was untapped, so I become inspired to achieve more. Problems I encounter in life have become stepping stones to success as they have helped me to improve as a person to become better.

iv. It isn’t necessarily the quantity of something more, but the inspired quality that counts.
This idea is personally important to me because I have as a poultry farmer, selling chickens to customers I have realized that quality of chickens in terms of satisfactory weight is what matters most to my customers, which determine whether they come back for more next time or not.

v. Thinking is not creative unless it is followed through with action.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have realized that it is true in my life, as the good creative thoughts that I have had in the past but not initiated to implement are still just dreams but those that I have implemented with strategic vision have become true and are continuing to change people’s lives. I have long had an idea of registering a construction company as I am a Project Manger and I am passionate about building, but have not yet done implemented it, therefore my idea will only be creative only when I put it into action.

vi. OPM: Other people’s money is the way to acquire wealth.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have realized that it is the mostly used method in the business world to create wealth especially at the inception of most business or when expanding operations. I have used other people’s money plus my personal savings when I published my first and second books as I needed to in order to be successful in my endeavor.

vii.

I have seen that the law of attraction works to attract whatever a person is inclined towards and constantly dwell his mind upon. I am glad that through positive mental attitude working together with my colleagues we were successful to a point where we launched the association at both local and national levels. Even now the association is still going strong so we laid the foundation, and those that come after us are still running with the vision and expanding it.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These ideas will help me in a practical way, when I make a conscious decision to apply them in every area of my life daily and to examine their impact in my life gradually as I navigate through life’s pathways. I will also train my fellow natives to equip them as well to apply the same principles in their lives, so that they can reap the same results of success in their respective personal lives.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“Anything in life worth having is worth working for.”

This quote is important to me because it inspires me to contend for everything, that God has prepared for me in life to the best that God desires me to be. It also encourages me to never give up on my goals in life with the knowledge that hard work pay off.

“To become an expert achiever in any human activity it takes practice…practice…practice.”

This quote is important to me as I have learned in my life that I become better day by day, in whatever I practice consistently as that increases my knowledge and sharpens my skills.

“A Positive Mental Attitude and definiteness of purpose is the starting point towards all worthwhile achievement!”

This statement is important to me, as PMA and definiteness of mind are principles needed, in order to undertake any activity successfully.

“Direct your thoughts; control your emotions; ordain your destiny.”

This statement is important to me because everything starts as a thought and thoughts that I meditate upon develops into my words, the words I speak most of the time becomes my character and finally my character becomes my destiny. As a person I have been given power to choose my thoughts wisely and to master them so as to determine my destiny.

“The secret of getting things done is: Do It Now!

This statement is important to me as it helps me to eliminate postponement, which brings delay and sometimes I end up not doing what I had intended to do a long time ago.

“Hope is the magic ingredient in motivating yourself and others.”

This statement is important to me as it encourages me to use hope as an anchor to stay inspired to achieve my goals in life and to impart it to other people around me as well.

“Learn to separate “facts” from fiction. Then learn the difference between the important facts and unimportant facts.”
This statement is important to me, as it reminds me draw a line between things that matter and those that don’t matter. It also encourages me to put first things first by prioritizing.

“Day by day in every respect I am getting better and better. Self affirmations repeated with frequency, rapidity and emotion affect the subconscious mind and cause it to react.”

This is important to me as I have realized that as I confess same affirmations on a daily basis my faith in confessions grow exceedingly in my heart. Confessing same affirmations continually helps me to unleash my full potential.

“Sow an action and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you will reap a destiny.”

This statement is important to me as my success or failure in life is determined by my consistency or inconsistency in applying these words.

“The whole is equal to the sum of all the parts and is greater than any of its parts. Are any missing parts keeping you from success?”

This statement is important to me as challenges me to focus on finding the misplaced parts, in my success journey puzzle and in the process I will have a complete success picture, and reach my destiny of a place called there.

How to Win Friends and Influence People
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is that as people we can develop good relations with people by showing them what to do in order to get what they want and influence people to become effective public speakers who will always deliver messages which will register in their minds and alter direction of their lives positively.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Winning friends begins with friendliness.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe in the law of attraction which says that whatever we desire in life we can acquire by attracting thoughts related to it meditate upon them repeatedly and confess that we already have it and eventually it will manifest from the spiritual realm to the natural realm. As a poultry farmer I have established good customer relations by producing high calories chickens and good customer care with a smile so has made me to have a larger local market share.

ii. Actions speak louder than words. A smile says, I like you. I am glad to see you.

This idea is personally important to me because, I believe that a huge proportion of my good reputation among the people is because of the relations I have established with them born out of the quality services and products that I always strive to offer to meet their personal needs. As farm feeds producer I always conduct customer satisfaction surveys so as to know the opinion and attitudes of my customers towards the products, so that I can improve in areas of weakness in terms of service delivery.

iii. Always make the other person feel important.

This idea is personally important to me because I know that I desire to be treated in a way that make me feel important, so I understand that if I make people to feel important they will cherish being associated with me, and therefore recommend me to other people as well due to the satisfaction they get. Being made to feel important allows a person to be innovative and triggers the desire to improve to become better in whatever a person is doing.

I am used to telling my wife that she is the most beautiful woman in all the earth and that because of her I am one of the most blessed men on earth. As result of loving her and treating her as a queen she has come to know that she is the most important person in my life.

iv. Success in dealing with people depends on sympathetic grasp of the
other person’s viewpoint.

This idea is personally important to me because I know from experience as people we like being understood by other people from our own perspective. When I have a full comprehension of the viewpoint of the other person that allows me to do whatever that must be done, catering for all stakeholders needs. When I wrote my first book I wrote into my native Sesotho language but them some people said they want it in an English version. Therefore I put myself in their shoes to grasp their viewpoint; as result I translated it and published an English version with an expanded edition.

v. The only way I can get you to do anything is by giving you what you want.

This idea is personally important to me because it emphasizes the fact that there are two sides to every story that should all be satisfied, every coin has two sides which are head and tail. It shows that in life every person is important as no man is self sufficient.
While I was still a student at tertiary we were supposed to host Geography high school competitions so the resources and funds were delaying to come forth as a result some of the task team members were discouraged thinking of cancelling the competition. So as a leader I took the responsibility of encouraging them that as if we could work hard and be successful to implement that project, we will leave a good legacy for those that come after us, which will always serve as a memorial for us, even when we have long left the students association.

vi. Give honest and sincere appreciation.

This idea is personally important to me as I believe that true lasting friendships are built on honest and sincere appreciation. In order for people to develop trust in me for reliable counsel I have to constantly give them honest and sincere admiration.

vii. You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him to find it
within them.

This idea is personally important to me because I know that every person has unlimited potential inside that needs to be tapped into and unleashed so as change the recipient’s life and those that he/she shall influence. This principle reminds of the saying that “experience is the best teacher” as I have learned that I am becoming better with every practical experience. I told one of my friends one day that change starts from inside to outside so if he is to change his life he must change his mindset from negative to be positive because as a man thinks so is he.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These ideas will help me in a practical way in that I am going to imagine them, personalise and meditate upon them repeatedly to saturate my mind and heart with them, so as to apply them in my life. I will repeat this process many times as I believe that practice makes perfect. To create a better world I will teach and train others about the principles I have learned so that their lives can be transformed like mine. I will hold seminars and workshops where the participants will be equipped on how to win friends and influence people effectively.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.”

This quote is important to me because I have learned that as soon as I admit that I am wrong that makes me not to be guilt conscious and makes me to focus on the solution and it also becomes my learning curve in the future so as not repeat it again.

“Don’t criticize, condemn or complain.”

This quote is important to me because I have learned from personal experience destruction criticism and complaining about the situation does not change the circumstances to bring solution, instead it make matter worse, it sometimes leads to rebellion from those who are being criticized.

“Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.”

This quote is important to me because being a good listener is one of my personal strengths which has led to me understand many people and be understood by many people because I respond with understanding based on what I heard people say.

“Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.”

This quote is important to me because I believe when I talk about what is interests the person I am talking to, it appeals to the ears of the one listening to me therefore my message will fall on hearing ears and have a great impact.

“Show respect for other person’s opinion.”

This quote is important to me because I have realised in my own life when working with people that when I show respect for their opinion it makes them to feel valuable and makes them to esteem my opinions as well.

“Dramatize your ideas.”

This quote is important to me because I am a person who mostly explains principles and concepts through simple day to day examples to as to make my message applicable to my listeners.

“Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct.”

This quote is important to me because it helps my delegates to feel free to express themselves in my presence, knowing that they can be able to learn from their mistakes to become better at their specialty without fear of being rebuked harshly every time.

“Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement.”

This quote is important to me because change comes gradually so every praise goes a long way to motivate a person to work even harder.

“Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.”

This quote is important to me because it when I first expose my errors, then the people will recognize that I am a man of integrity who leads by example therefore it will be easier for them to submit under my authority as a leader.

“Be sympathetic with the other person’s ideas and desires.”

This quote is important to me because, I believe being considerate to what matters to other people shows them that, I care about the way they feel and what they aspire to achieve. That will make a bond of friendship between us to grow stronger therefore bring personal growth to both parties as we share knowledge.

Awaken the Giant Within
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

To be aware the unlimited dormant potential that God has placed within us, to tap into it and unleash it so to bring answers to life’s questions.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. “Men, as well as women, are much often led by their hearts than
their understandings.”

This idea is personally important to me because within me there is an intuition (sixth sense) that knows the direction I should take in order to reach my God ordained destiny. After the death of my late wife I enrolled with Bible College being led by my heart, which caused me to abandon applying for a scholarship to study in India.

ii. “As he thinketh in his heart, so he is.”

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned that in life everything starts as a thought therefore it is important for me to accept positive thoughts and reject negative thoughts. I normally use this verse when faced with sickness by meditating and confessing the word that says, I am healed by the stripes of Jesus therefore magnifying the word of God in my heart, as a result I always reap healing speedily.

iii. “The beginning of a habit is like an invisible thread, but every
time we repeat the act we strengthen the strand, add to it another filament, until it becomes a great cable and binds us irrevocably, thought and act.”

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned through experience in my life that habits shape my life, as they eventually become my character and therefore determines my destiny. Once something becomes a habit I do it without effort as mind becomes programmed to do it. I have developed the habit of praying at various specific hours of the day, to an extent that when that time arrives I am compelled to pray even if I am on the way home or doing certain duties.

iv. “There is nothing training cannot do. Nothing is above its reach. It can turn bad morals to good; it can destroy bad principles and recreate good ones; it can lift man to angelship.”

This idea is important to me personally because I believe that practice makes perfect, it can make an introvert a charismatic leader though doing the same thing repeatedly. When I was in high school I was shy person but I started taking part in public presentations to a point where now, I have become an effective leader, leading many groups to accomplish their respective purposes. Now I am passionate about public speaking and leadership.

v. “Ask and you will receive. Seek and you will find; knock, and it
will be opened to you.”

This idea is important to me personally because it shows my roles and responsibilities in getting my needs met by God. In the past I asked for a God fearing wife from God and asked the Holy Spirit to guide me and God gave me a gift of a beautiful God fearing woman.

vi. “We first make our habits, and then our habits make us.”

This idea is important to me personally because, I have learned in my life that habits I develop shape my character and eventually my destiny where I will end up in life. In my life I have developed the reading culture which has helped me to become an effective leader, to ensure I am always ahead of the people I lead in terms of knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

vii. “Leaders are readers.”

This idea is important to me personally because, I have learned through experience that reading books has made me to have a high aptitude for learning and has allowed me to influence more people than I could, reading books has attracted more people who follow me, as they have confidence in me that I can influence them to accomplish their purpose.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I have been stirred on the inside when I read stories of people whose lives were changed as they followed principles in Awaken the giant within, so I am determined to apply them in my life for personal development and to make others aware of them as well. I am willing to change my mind set about prosperity and to continue unleashing my full potential, in order to awaken the dormant giant lying within me. I am going to persevere cultivating positive thoughts, to continually think accurately on purpose consistently so as reap positive results.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”

This quote is important to me because, every time I get something wrong, I am getting closer to the solution as that challenges me to dig deeper within me to tap into the unlimited potential that God has placed in me.
“Focus on where you want to go, not on what you fear.”

This quote is important to me because, I have realized that the mind has the ability to amplify what if concentrates on therefore, when setting my mind on the foreseeable future it helps me to plan for the future with great anticipation, as a result increases the probability of accomplishing my desired goal.

“You’ve got to be in a determined state in order to succeed.”

This quote is important to me because success begins with a mindset, therefore in order for me, to be successful, I must first fill my mind with thoughts of success, talk words of success and eventually see myself as a success.

“Words form the thread on which we string our experiences.”

This quote is important to me because, my words are containers of power hence I carefully select the words (confessions) I desire to reap and affirm them continually with my mouth.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

This quote is important to me because I know from experience that every dream needs a vision in order to become a reality, a dream without a vision is just but a dream.

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation,
because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

This quote is important to me because, my character affects the way I relate to other people, it is necessary for me to pursue having good relations with all the people.

“It is only with the heart that one eye can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

This quote is important to me because my optical eyes can only see physical things but in order see spiritual things I have to look with my heart which has intuition to discern and envision beyond the natural realm.

“Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think.”

This quote is important to me because I believe that everything that we see in the physical world basically starts in the mind of a man, hence wealth also originates in the mind of man. Therefore I can change my life by changing my mindset to focus on the wealth that I desire to attract.

“You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips.”
This quote is important to me because I believe actions speaks loader than words, therefore I am able to influence many people more by my lifestyle than by my words. When I lead by example of good deeds my followers will see me as a man of integrity and faithfulness.

“Repetition is the mother of skill.”

This quote is important to me because, in life I have realized that skills are developed by practicing them repeatedly until I become effective in any work that I practice. As I practice any art that I am doing my knowledge increases and I become better at it, until I become an expert, who can even train others to master it as well.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about or are the ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

No. Everything is clear and I have no disagreements whatsoever.

Creating your Path through Leadership
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is that through understanding leadership and application of its principles in our lives we can get anywhere we desire to go and help others to get to their God ordained destiny as master the art of turning impossibilities into possibilities.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to
you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. They say “birds of a feather flock together” and, indeed, leaders
breed leaders.

This idea is personally important to me because I have realized that in life people of the same calliber are attracted to each other. Which I was at University I was a leader of two academic associations and I groomed those who came after me to continue where I left off, so the associations are still going on strong. Now the students I trained they are leaders in the field at their respective workplaces.

ii.“When the student is ready, the teacher appears” and the Universe aligns you with those who can help.

This idea is personally important to me because, I believe life in itself is a school in which we learn new lessons every day, hence we all need mentors to guide and teach us through life’s paths. I have a spiritual mentor I submit under, who has been there before me, whom I learn from by observing and applying the lessons from her spiritual life.

iii. The reality is that all successful people have a common hunger for knowledge that is relevant to them and their field of influence.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have realized that if I am to be a successful leader, then I must master the art of reading influential books every now and then, to make sure that I am still on course to my destiny. Over the years I have cultivated the skill of reading spiritual books, leadership books and business books, so as ensure that I am growing in those areas of life, by applying principles I am learning in my daily life.

iv. “We are unlimited beings. We have no ceiling. The capabilities and
the talents and the gifts and the power that is within every single individual that is on this planet, is unlimited.”

This idea is personally important to me because I realize that God has deposited eternity in my heart, I have unlimited potential that requires me to just tap into so that I can unleash it, to bring transformation in all areas of life. After realizing my unlimited potential I have started mentoring some young people, to help them develop into the best that God has created them to be.

v. I no longer fear failure because I know that every failure or defeat bears within it the seed of success.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned that defeat is a learning curve from which I learn to become better person overtime, as I dig deeper in me to explore better options. While I was still at high school I failed one class and I had to repeat it, even though it was painful. How I realized that it was a blessing in disguise as it gave me a good foundation, which allowed me to pass my senior high school well and proceed to university to pursue my tertiary studies.

vi. I have realized that all the riches and all the material goods that I acquire through my efforts begin with me having a clear, concise picture of what I seek.

This idea is personally important to me because, in my life I have seen, that if I am intending to achieve something it usually begins as a thought, and then it unfolds in my mind through imagination as I fix my mind on the dream, to understand how it will come to pass. When I wrote my second book “Healing from Heaven” I knew exactly the kind of book I wanted to publish as I had seen it in my imagination first therefore, that made the work easier.

vii. I now believe that every adversity contains the seed of an equivalent or
greater benefit.

This idea is personally important to me because, it challenges me to think outside the box as I attempt to solve the problem at hand as a result helps to me to unleash my unlimited potential and to strengthen my faith as I apply it. I was supposed to complete my Bible studies in May 2020 however due to the Covid-19 global pandemic we had to close in March, in the process we ended up completing our studies at the end of August. I am part of the students that suffered adversity as we went beyond the scheduled time of learning and our graduations have also been postponed to 2021. In the process I am patient and courageous while waiting for graduations in 2021 Passover.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I have been stirred on the inside when I read stories of IIGL graduates to hear how their leadership capacities were developed and the ways in which they have transformed lives of their natives and citizens of other countries through leadership skills they have acquired. I am highly inspired therefore I am determined to go out and apply the principles of leadership I learned about from their stories.

“An effective leader’s acknowledgment of his own shortcomings and
effort to learn and grow, creates valuable role-modeling for other team members.”

This quote is important to me because, when I know my weaknesses in leadership its easier for me to focus on them, to develop myself in those areas so that I become complete 365 leader, able to bring transformation in people’s lives everywhere.

“A passionate leader effectively communicates his or her vision, and
the vision of the company, to team members.”

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. The ability to set goals and make plans for their accomplishment is the master skill of success.

This idea is personally important to me because it is the practical master key to achieve my goals in life in both my ministry as a pastor and in my career as a Project Manager. I set goals and made plans to accomplish my career goals few years ago while I had to balance my time well between work and school. I am glad that through use of this principle I was able to complete my studies success-fully and also performed my duties at work satisfactorily.

ii. All great achievement begins with your deciding what it is you really want and then dedicating yourself wholeheartedly to attaining it.

This idea is personally important to me as it emphasizes the fact that, in order to get to my destiny I should know exactly what I want and be determined to do whatever is necessary to accomplish it. While I was still a student at University I knew that I wanted to resurrect students Ur-ban and Regional Planning association so I mobilized other students and we came together to prepare the constitution and together we were able to register it. United in one purpose we were able to launch it at a local and national level. Today we have a National Planning Institute which regulates the profession of planning in my country.

iii. Your future largely depends on what you learn and practice from this moment onward.

This idea is personally important to me because it combines theory of learning and the practical of doing. As a teacher of the word of God I have developed a habit
Of being ready always to serve through the word and that has helped me to make the Bible my daily friend and standard of living.

iv. It is impossible to succeed without failing.
This idea is personally important to me as I have realized that in order to be perfect in anything I do in life, I should practice it repeatedly. I have developed the art of reading Books, so I can always be ahead of those I am leading in life in terms of knowledge, understanding and wisdom. In beginning to while was still developing the art of reading it was not harder but through perseverance I have become better in understanding and application of principles I have learned.

v. All change is from the inner to the outer. All change be-gins in the self-concept. You must become the person you want to be on the inside before see the appearance of this person on the outside.

This idea is personally important to me because it confirms the scripture that says God has put (deposited) eternity in our hearts, therefore everything I need is already within me, I just need to dig deeper to access the treasures hidden in me.

vi. Everything you are or ever will be, will be as a result of the way you think. If you change the quality of your thinking you change the quality of your life.

This is idea is personally important to me because I have realized that everything in my life starts though thoughts so if I develop positive thoughts I reap positive results.

vii. Don’t quit when things go wrong, they sometimes will, when the road you’re drudging seems all uphill, when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile but you have to sigh.

This idea is personally important to me because sometimes in life I encounter difficult circumstances which takes a long time to change however in such instances I usually remind myself that I am not a quitter therefore I won’t give up till I win. One time I had a lady whom I loved, we were engaged in long distance relationship and I was in process of preparation for marrying her unfortunately she disappeared and got married to one guy. My heart was broken but I did not dwell on it, instead I moved on and ended up marrying another girl whom we lived happily with unto she passed on to the glory of heaven.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I have been stirred on the inside when I read stories of people whose lives were changed as they followed principles outlined in this book, so I am determined to apply them in my life for personal development and to make others aware of them as well. I am willing to change my mind set about prosperity and to continue unleashing my full potential, in order to awaken the dormant giant lying within me. I am going to per-severe cultivating positive thoughts, to continually think accurately on purpose consistently so as reap positive results.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“There have never been more opportunities for you to turn your dreams into realities than there are right now.”

This quote is important to me because sometimes when sitting down I have realized, that I have the same 24 hours with everyone that have been successful, so I believe with the wisdom, skills and vision I have, I am going to achieve my dreams as I use available opportunities in front of my eyes.

“The key to happiness then is to systematically eliminate, or at least minimize, the parts of your life that cause you negativity or stress of any kind.”

This quote is important to me because I believe that I cannot have peace of mind without being happy, and my happiness is directly connected to the way I think and talk on a daily basis.

“If you achieve all kinds of things in the material world, but you lose your health or your peace of mind, you get little or no pleasure from your other accomplishments.”

This quote is important to me because I am an advocate of divine health, believing that every Christian is supposed to walk in divine health 365 days a year, without getting sick because the Bible declares we were healed by the stripes of Jesus. Peace of mind also important to me as well as I can’t enjoy all blessings of God without having peace of mind.

“A key quality of the fully functioning person is that he or she has the ability to enter into and maintain long-term friendships and intimate relationships with other people.”

This quote is important to me because I value my friend-ship with people close to me as I know that, there are some things that God has placed in them that will help me to grow in every area of my life.

“Do what you can, with what you have, right where you are.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me of the time when God asked Moses, “what do you have in your hand?” And Moses answered that He had rod which God instructed him to throw down. This rod became a snake which ate the magicians snakes and Moses used it as a vessel to make way for Israelites through the red sea when Egyptians wanted to kill them in the wilderness. So I believe gifts and talents that God has given me, will help me to get to my destiny if I harness them well.

“Self-discipline, self-mastery, self-control all begin with you taking control of your thinking.”

This quote is important to me because I believe that everything in life starts as a thought therefore it is important for me to develop an art of thinking on purpose, so that I can change my life to become an effective person in all spheres of life, as I desire to be.

“If you wish to reap a different harvest in any area of your life in the future, you need to plant different seeds today, and of course, this refers primarily to mental seeds.”

This quote is important to me because I have realized that if I desire to break old habits, I should develop new habits to replace old ones that will enable me to reap the good harvest.

No. Everything is clear and I have no disagreements with the ideas presented in this Book.

Goal Mapping
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is that every person can use seven trusted and time tested steps to achieve their desired dreams in life.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Dream it

This idea is personally important to me because I have dreams in life that I desire and I am passionately pursuing to accomplish, so this idea motivates me to continue dreaming as I have learned in my life that dreams do come true. I had a dream of being a project manager after completing my Bachelor’s degree, so when I got employed in a national project, I immediately enrolled with Institute of Commercial Management to do Project Management. Today I am living my dream as a Project Manager managing my projects and helping individuals and institutions as well.

ii. Believe it.

This idea is personally important to me, because I have learned that everything that I believe constantly in my heart comes to pass in my life, as I confess that I have it with my mouth to shape the future that I want to see. I have seen the power of believing in my life during the time when I have applied for a job, many a time after submitting the application I have maintained the attitude of confessing that I possess the job in Jesus Name and I have seen the job manifesting.

iii. See it.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned in my life experiences I have the sixth sense of faith, in which my heart enables me to through my heart things in the spiritual realm. I have found that I have spiritual eyes through which God shows me things to come through visions and dreams. I used to have visions and dreams seeing myself praying for sick people in huge gatherings and now as pastor I am doing exactly that.

iv. Tell it.

This idea is personally important to me because I know that my confessions rule my life as I always reap what I sow with my mouth.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue so I have developed the habit daily speaking positive confessions concerning what the word of God declares about me as the child of God. In the past I had a dream of venturing into agribusiness so told many people that I am going to plough vegetables in fields for selling to the market and now I am plowing vegetables, in the future I am going to increase my production working with other farmers, to supply the local market with vegetables.

v. Plan it.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe that I can achieve anything that I intentionally put my mind to, focusing upon what I seek to accomplish. Planning to achieve anything I intend to accomplish is important as everything needs a plan, if it is to be executed successfully. I have seen that the law of attraction works to attract whatever a person is inclined towards and constantly dwell his mind upon. While at university pursuing Bachelor’s degree I recognized the need to establish students planners Association, I put my mind on it using a positive mental attitude, it was a mammoth task as I had to mobilize students and approach our lecturers to rally behind us and eventually my dream was fulfilled. I am glad that through positive mental attitude working together with my colleagues we were successful to a point where we launched the association at both local and national levels. Even now the association is still going strong so we laid the foundation, and those that come after us are still running with the vision and expanding it.

vi. Work it.

This is idea is personally important to me because I know that in order for my dreams to become a reality, I have to work it out to do activities that will lead to accomplishment of my dreams. I am currently training student pastors that are going to oversee churches in the near future, so I know that working out my dream is an important part in achieving my desired dream.

vii. Enjoy it.

This idea is personally important to me because joy is the fruit of the Spirit which is manifested in my life as I continually abide in Christ through the word and yield to the Holy Spirit. After getting married I am enjoying the marriage with the woman whom God given me, realizing that she is gift that God has given to me as a helpmate to support me in life and ministry.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I will use them as guidelines to accomplish my dreams in life and to help others to make their dreams come true by training them. In general I boldly declare that my life going to be a lot better as I apply this principles in my life and it will bring joy to my life when I see other people’s lives transformed through application of same goal mapping principles.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“My goal for personal development is coupled with a burning desire
to impart positively in the lives of people.”

This quote is important to me because as a leadership oriented person, I believe that development should be focused on transforming people’s lives spiritually, mentally, physically. emotionally and financially.

“Every great achievement began in the mind of one person.”

This quote is important to me because, everything in life begins as a thought so I can achieve anything that I believe and perceive in my mind, meditating upon it repeatedly. Due to the fact that my thoughts becomes my words; and my words becomes my actions; and my actions becomes my habits. King Solomon the wisest and richest man that ever lived in his words put it this way, “as a man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7a).” So that is true, all of live revolves around thoughts that we cultivate and develop to attract what we desire to become in life.

“Goal mapping helps you to map your health, personal, family, financial, spiritual, recreational and career goals and achieving them within a record time.”

This quote is important to me because it will inspires me to employ goal mapping principles in all areas of my life therefore my dreams will become true.

“Empowering people increases knowledge and confidence, this in turn
increases curiosity, leading to further development.”

This quote is important to me because, it implies that I should study to acquire knowledge about my area of specialization and to apply that knowledge in my life progressively and repeatedly then I will be successful. I have realized that the more I study is the more my knowledge increases, then as I apply what I have learnt in my life, my understanding and wisdom grows exceedingly. Last but not least when I impart more knowledge to the people, I increase my capacity for more knowledge.

“Yes your dream needs to be big. It needs to be something that is
seemingly beyond your capabilities. But it also must be believable, attainable and realistic.”

This quote is important to me because, I believe in big dreams which can develop other people’s lives by bringing positive change. As project manager I believe that the goals of any project should be SMART as it become easier to implement them because they are clear to be understood by all stakeholders.

“The old saying that you “get what you plan for” is so true.”

This quote is important to me because, I have seen in my life that whatever I desire to accomplish, I must have a clear plan that entails a vision, a mission, and objectives. This quote reminds me of the saying “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”, everything in life that should be executed needs a plan if should be implemented successfully.

“Your short-term tasks multiplied by time, equal your long time accomplishments. If you work on it each day, eventually you will achieve your dream.”

This quote is important to me because, as it the popular adage goes, Rome was not built in a day, so patience and consistency is needed in order to implement any personal endeavor in life. Sowing and reaping the spiritual law that works in both the natural and spiritual life so whatever I sow, I always reap multiplied as God gives the increase.

“The left brain thinks in words while the right brain thinks in pictures and it is important to use both to powerfully command our subconscious mind.”

This quote is important to me as it makes me aware of how to harness my imagination and thoughts well so that I can use my subconscious mind to its fullness, to maximize the results.

“Goals without deadlines are just wishes; they lack the power of commitment.”

This quote is important to me because, it inspires me to always attach my personal goals to my time frame as that will influence me to work hard in order to complete the scheduled duties within the allocated time.

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the
value of time.”

This quote is important to me because, time is one of three treasures that God has given to man which are talents, treasures and time. Time is irreplaceable therefore I have to be careful to use my time wisely and carefully so that I can give a good account before the Master one day as a faithful steward.

“Surround yourself with people whose knowledge and judgment you
trust; then make a good use of them.”

This quote is important to me because, the kind of people that I surround myself with have an influence on the decisions that I make in life, therefore it is important for me to choose my friends wisely. A man called Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said, “Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you who you are.” Another quote says show me your friends and I will show you your future. In other words people who are closest to me have a great impact in my life as their counsel is reflected in the kind of decisions I am likely to make life.
“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.”

This quote is important to me because, I have learned in my life that practicing the art of tact, makes it easier for me to seize new opportunities especially when meeting with people like investors whom I should convince that my proposal is viable and attainable.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is attempting to portray is to present a seven-course meal on how to take charge of one’s life and become the complete, satisfying person one envisions. It is a satisfying, active, step-by-step book that is appropriate for personal and business development.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Be Proactive

This idea is personally important to me because it means realizing that God has given me authority and responsibility for the things that happen in all aspects pertaining to my life. My life is mostly influenced by the decisions I make in life based how I think I am to take responsibility myself for where I am now and for the direction that my life is taking currently. I have developed a habit of making positive confessions about who I am in Christ regardless of the current situation and gradually I am creating spiritual realities seeing myself as God sees me.

ii. Begin with the end in mind

This idea is personally important to me as it emphasizes the fact that, in order to get to my destiny I should know exactly what I want and be determined to do whatever is necessary to accomplish it. While I was still a student at University I knew that I wanted to resurrect students Urban and Regional Planning association so I mobilized other students and we came together to prepare the constitution and together we were able to register it. United in one purpose we were able to launch it at a local and national level. Today we have a National Planning Institute which regulates the profession of planning in my country.

iii. Put first things first

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds that in life I have to prioritize things in terms of importance, by doing most important things first and ending with less important things. Applying this principle also helps me to accomplish my goals in orderly manner so that every aspect fits its rightful place accordingly as I have planned. I always apply this principle when I rear chickens by advertising to the potential customers while I am in the process of purchasing one day old chicks and the chicken feed.

iv. Think win/win

This idea is personally important to me as I have realized that in order to be perfect in anything I do in life, I should practice it repeatedly. I have developed the art of reading Books, so I can always be ahead of those I am leading in life in terms of knowledge, understanding and wisdom. In beginning while I was still developing the art of reading it was not harder but through perseverance I have become better in understanding and application of principles I have learned.

v. Seek first to understand, then to be understood

This idea is personally important to me because it confirms the scripture that says God has put (deposited) eternity in our hearts, therefore everything I need is already within me, I just need to dig deeper to access the treasures hidden in me. After getting married to my wife we used to have many conflicts however, as the marriage continued, through learning and observation I got to understand her better therefore conflicts decreased.

vi. Synergize

This idea is personally important to me because in I have realized that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, so when I am united with other people we are able to achieve a lot of work within a short time as we combine our efforts together to achieve our desired goal. Recently I was helping a repeating tertiary student with a research project, it was mammoth task as we only had a few months so we worked hard to bring our skills together, and eventually her project was approved by the supervisor as having met required standards for partial fulfillment of Bachelor’s Degree.

vii. Renewal (Sharpen the saw)

This idea is personally important to me because I know the importance of continuously acquiring new knowledge and skills in my life as I have reaped positive results to become a better person that I have become. I have read a book called God’s generals at least twice as it sharpens my discernment, renews my desires to be used mightily by God impact my generation and leave a godly legacy to the coming generations.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, through application of these seven habits I am going to be more effective as a leader who guide my followers to reach the destiny that God has ordained for them.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“The Key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.”

This quote is important to me because as a Project Manager I know that I don’t do anything haphazardly, but in order by making a schedule that show the sequence in which I will do the activities that needs to be done beginning with the most important ones and ending with the less important ones.

“The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me that in life there are primary things which should be prioritized above secondary things because of their importance. Doing this helps to keep law and order in life as everything occupies its rightful place.

“Live out of your imagination, not your history.”

This quote is important to me because in life everything starts as a thought which is developed by constant meditation and eventually comes to pass. I am supposed to live in the present because today is a gift while yesterday is a history hence cannot be changed. Through the imaginations that constantly saturate my mind I am able to change my life for better as my attitude of how I see myself determines the level of success I will attain.

“Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me that all successful friendships are established upon the pillar of trust, therefore if my relationships with God and other people should grow then trust should remain the main pillar that sustains them.

“Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds that there are no coincidences in life as my life is shaped by choices and decisions I make in life therefore I am the agent of change to influence the course that my life will take and the destiny which I will reach.

“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.”

This quote is important to me because the kind of decisions that I make in life are the ones that shape my life, as my decisions determines the direction that the course of my life will go. After the death of my late wife I made a decision that I am going to allow God to heal me through the mourning period and continue with life’s journey and immediately after her departure I went to Bible college to enroll for theological studies and I have already completed my studies now shepherding a church, therefore I thank the Lord for His grace that has given me the ability to continue in the race of life.

“I teach people how to treat me by what I will allow.”

This quote is important to me because according the things that I permit and tolerate for people do in my presence I am conducting life lessons to other people, to know the kind of relationship they can develop with me based on my attitude and conduct towards them.

“Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”

This quote is important to me because I know that in life everything begins as a thought, which after consistent meditation becomes words and eventually manifest in my life as I keep saturating my heart and mind with, affirming it with my mouth. This quote reminds me that where I am today is because of the words (seeds) that planted with my mouth yesterday as life and death are in the power of the tongue. I have reaped many harvests from applying this universal principle of sowing and reaping. Just to name one when I was still at high school, I had an ambition to attend a university after high school graduation. My results were below the required acceptance credits so I had to supplement, however kept my dream before me and confessing it and eventually after supplementing I got an admission to do my Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning.

Goals
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is to show us that there are tried and tested strategies that we can apply in order to accomplish our goals in life within a short time.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to
you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. “Write down your goals, make plans to achieve them, and work on
your plans every single day.”

This idea is personally important to me because it instructs me to employ the most effective strategies that have been used by most successful people in the world to change their lives and to influence the world to achieve its goals. As a distributor of Amway selling their products I make plans for going out to sell products daily, to the people that I meet with so that they buy from me or alternatively to join the business so that they can sell the same products and reap the same benefits of getting commission and incentives from the company.

ii. Success is goals and all else is commentary.

This idea is personally important to me, because it reminds me that success if driven by goals that I desire to achieve, the greater the goals the greater the energy, resources and time I should apply to accomplish them. I should prioritize goals above all other matters in order to achieve my goals. There is one research project which I was helping one tertiary student with, in which it was tough for a long time but I kept encouraging the student that eventually we should keep our focus on the goal of completing the project successfully within the schedule time and thank God we did! At some point in time the student nearly gave up but I kept reminding her of her goal to finish the project and eventually graduate to get her Bachelor’s Degree.

iii. Only 20% of the reasons you are not achieving your goal are on
the outside. Always start with yourself.

Change starts on the inside of me by saturating my mind and heart with what I desire and is manifested on the outsides as I continually declare it in faith.
iv. The rule is that each minute spent in planning saves 10 minutes in
execution.

This idea is personally important to me because as an Urban and Regional Planner by profession I know that everything must have a plan if it is to be implemented successfully. If I fail to plan, I plan to fail therefore I always prepare a plan first before doing any work or project. I have a slogan I use which I call 6 P’s of success which namely stands for proper, prior, planning, prevents, poor, performance. In the past I have been able to rear chickens that made my customers to keep on desiring to come back to me because of their high calories, as I used feed that contained genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) and made market research before selling hence I have been successful for many years.

v. Always state your goals as though they were already a reality, as though you had already accomplished them.

Even now the association is still going strong so we laid the foundation, and those that come after us are still running with the vision and expanding it.

vi. As the president of your own career and your own life, as the
Architect of your own destiny, you are free to make your own decisions.

This is idea is personally important to me because it reminds me that I am the one responsible to steer my profession and life in the right direction, through employing and applying right principles that will bring transformation in every area of my life. Since realizing that God has put eternity in my heart, I have made a decision to slowly but surely dig out the untapped potential in me and I am discovering daily that it is unlimited. Therefore I am not looking to any man to change my life but shape my life through unleashing infinite potential that is within me.

vii. The highest income you will ever earn is going to materialize in
the months and years ahead, the future is going to be better than anything that may have happened in your past, there are no limits.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me about the life of a man called Job whom the Lord had blessed, who went through tribulations and lost all that he had. However God restored all that he had lost in past years and gave him a double portion so his end was better than his beginning. So likewise I believe that my best days are in front of me, I am surely going to eat the good of the land as I am willing and obedient unto the Lord.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These lessons will help me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and helping me create a better world in that, I am going to adopt them and apply them in order to accomplish my goals in life within a short time in a smarter way. I will also help other people with them so that their dreams can become a reality.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“What does it benefit a man if he achieves the whole world but loses his own soul?”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me of the pain of worldly success without Christ which leads to eternal damnation in the fire of hell. The quote reminds me of two books written by the wisest and richest man that ever lived King Solomon, the book of Proverbs outlines a life of success with God while Ecclesiastes outlines a life of success without God.

“Self trust is the foundation of greatness. Self-trust comes from listening to your intuition, to your still, small voice within.”

This quote is important to me because, as it reminds of the Holy Spirit my teacher who lives within me to direct and guide me to live a life purpose and meaning which is pleasing unto God.

“It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from; all that really matters is where you’re going.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me that my future is what really matters in life as I have the ability to plan it to manifest exactly as I envision it to be. As I align my thoughts and actions with the brighter future that God has ordained for me then I co-create with God my best days in front of me.

“You should live your life as if you were already the outstanding person that you intend to be sometime in the future.”

This quote is important to me because, it challenges me to change my mind set to see myself the way God sees me, declare and do good works He foreordained for me even prior to my earth existence.

“One of the most important questions in goal setting is this: “What
do I really want to do with my life?”

This quote is important to me because, it reminds me that God has deposited unlimited potential in me so there is no limit to the potential that I can unleash to manifest the kind of life I desire to live. This quote also reminds me where to begin when I set my goals in life.

vi. “If you won a million dollars tomorrow, cash, tax free, how would
you change your life?”

This quote is important to me because, it reminds me that being a millionaire begins with thoughts which changes the mindset when meditated upon consistently and applied. It is also important to me as it reminds that that in the near future millions are going to flood my account and every other dream I have are going to become a reality.

In setting goals for your life, short and long-term, you should continually ask yourself,

“What do I most enjoy doing, in each area of my life?”

This quote is important to me because, it inspires me to consider things that make me happy while I am planning my goals, the fact is that what I enjoy doing is what God has called me to do on earth therefore He has placed an anointing to flourish in my calling with excellence.

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

This quote is important to me because, it inspires me to dig deep within me to unearth that untapped potential within me to the maximum. The quote also reminds me that faith is the most powerful force on earth as it manifests the supernatural things into the natural realm.

“Your main job in life is to create the mental equivalent within yourself of what you want to realize and enjoy in your outer world.”

This quote is important to me because, it reminds me that I have been given power to control my thoughts, so I am like director of a movie who chooses what he wants to show the audience that is going to watch and listen. If I don’t like what I am seeing manifesting in my outer world I have the ability to change my thoughts and to focus on good, positive, true and ambitious thoughts.

“The person interested in success has to learn to view failure as a healthy, inevitable part of the process getting to the top.”

This quote is important to me because, I have realized that very successful men and woman in history of the world like Thomas Edison, Brian Tracy, to name just a few have failed thousands of times before they eventually succeeded in life. I have fair share of failing and have testimonies of successes also so I believe the greater the adversity.

No, there is nothing. I feel the questions deal with all important points.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 10
B. How helpful were the contents? 10

Nonviolent Communication
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is to show us that there are tried and tested strategies that we can apply in order to accomplish our goals in life within a short time.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to
you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. If we change ourselves we can change the world and changing
ourselves begins with changing our language and methods of communication.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe that change starts from the inside to the outside, therefore I must be the change that I desire to see in the world as change first starts with me, myself talk must change must change first. One of the greatest challenges I have encountered in life was when my first wife had passed away after only two years of marriage life so I immediately had to shift my mind from being a married man to a widower which was not easy but by the grace of God I changed the way I talk and the way I perceived myself, as I realized the only thing I could do is to accept that she has departed therefore pick up pieces and continue walking with God in a new phase of life without a

ii. The more we talk about the past, the less we heal from it.

This idea is personally important to me, because it reminds me of King Solomon Proverb when he says, death and life are in the power of the tongue, they that love it shall eat its fruits therefore, every time I must choose to speak life saturated words so that I can continually reap positive results. I am a future minded person and seldom talk about things that have already past therefore I have been healed from all past emotional hurts.

iii. Your presence is the most precious gift you can give to another
human being.

This idea is personally important to me because, I have learned that I need the presence of people more especially in times of hardship when the going gets tough, so I always strive to be there for people in both difficult and good times to cry with those who cry, and to rejoice with those who rejoice.

iv. If we express our needs, we have a better chance of getting them met.

This idea is personally important to me because I have realized that people cannot support the needs they are not aware of, so it is important to let people know about our needs. While I was still in Bible College towards the end our time was extended with cost implications so I needed financial help to pay school fees as I had not budgeted to extra fees, so I asked my sisters to help me with it and I am glad that they were able to help me.

v. Understanding the other persons’ needs does not mean you have to
give up on your own needs.

This idea is personally important to me because I learned that, it is important to serve other people as leadership is about servant-hood, then as we meet the needs of others then God meet our needs as well. As a leader especially in Church my focus is always to meet the needs of those that follow me and I have seen God always meet my needs and even surpass them as I put other’s needs before mine.

vi. We can replace language that implies lack of choice with language that acknowledges choice.

This is idea is personally important to me because I know that my words rule my life as they are seeds therefore I have to carefully and intentionally speak positive faith filled words as I always reap what I sow One time I was at a cross road in which I had to choose between two temporary jobs so I prayed and declared that I will get them both and indeed God helped me to get both of them as they ended up being implemented in different times by the grace of God. By my words I acknowledged that I Still Had a choice even when it seemed like there was a clash of duties.

vii. The highest income you will ever earn is going to materialize in the months and years ahead, the future is going to be better than anything that may have happened in your past, there are no limits.

If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“Classifying and judging people promotes violence.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me of the negative consequences of segregating and judging people. The judgmental attitude is very dangerous to the society so it must be avoided at all costs.

“Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not
be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.”

This quote is important to me because, it is warning to me not to judge and condemn others as to avoid being judged and condemned by the Lord as well. This is also important to me as it helps me to pursue to do unto others what I want them to do unto me.

“Comparisons are a form of judgment.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds that I shouldn’t compare myself with other people because I am fearfully and wonderfully made so I have unlimited potential within me and what I can do with that potential is infinite as long as I continue tapping into it and unleash it.

“Use positive language when making requests.”

This quote is important to me because, it reminds me to remain humble and grounded. When I use positive language that helps me to maintain good relations which are friendly and peaceful with people.

“Making requests in clear, positive, concrete action language reveals what we really want.”

This quote is important to me because, this reminds what is required especially when I request help from people to have a clear, precise vision, mission, and objectives so that it will easier for potential investors/sponsors to invest their money.

“To make sure the message we sent is the message that’s received,
ask the listener to reflect it back.”

This quote is important to me because, I have done it some by asking my students what I taught them and when they said something different I always tell them that that it is not what I said, then immediately repeat what I said earlier I have verified that they understand to a point where they can teach it to others as well.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about, or are the ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

No. Everything is clear and I have no disagreements whatsoever.

The Power of Intention
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is that every person can fulfill their potential in life by discovering and unleashing the unlimited potential of the power of intention.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. The secret to manifesting anything that you desire is your willingness and ability to realign yourself so that your inner world is in harmony with the power of intention.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me of the scripture in Isaiah 1:19 if you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. I desired to do Bachelor’s degree in Missions and in 2021 I got an opportunity to pursue the program for free only paying for certificate of completion and graduation fee. Therefore I attest to the fact that if I am willing and obedient to God’s word I can achieve whatever I desire in my life.

ii. I am part of the ebb and flow of the limitless source of all life.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me that Jehovah is the great I am who causes everything to be. Everything living and non-living originates from Him and its purpose is to know Him and to glorify Him forever. After discovering that the purpose for me to live on this earth is to worship God my Creator, I seek to know Him daily and to glorify Him in everything that I do.

iii. I am divine health. I intend to live in healthy ways and attract the power to strengthen my immune system in every way I can.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me that Jehovah is an infinite being who is the source of all limitless supply of all things I need in present life and eternity. As a result of realizing that I am part of the Body of Jesus and that my body is the temple of the Holy, I am walking in divine health as the law of the Spirit of life (Holy Spirit) has set me free from the law of sin and death. I started walking in divine health as I aligned to the spiritual law of life due to the Holy Spirit who lives and abides in me.

iv. Intention is a power that’s present everywhere as a field of energy; it isn’t limited to physical development. It’s the source of non-physical development too. This field of intention is here, now and available to you.

This idea is personally important to me because it makes me aware that I can harness intention in every area of life in order to be able to access that unlimited creative potential that it makes available to me. I have harnessed intention a lot in the area of writing to a level where I am now intending to help train people who desire to write their own book, but lacking skills that help them to make their dream a reality.

v. When you surrender you lighten up and can consult with your infinite soul. Then the power intention becomes available to take you wherever you feel destined to go.

This idea is personally important to me because everything in my starts as a thought, so it very important for me to control my thoughts by thinking on purpose, as the thoughts I think most of the time are linked to my words, my character and destiny. My poultry farming agribusiness started first as a thought which I meditated for a long time, till it became an idea, then I developed a prototype and tested it in the market. The response from the market was wonderful therefore I decided to rear chickens on a larger scale, so as to benefit on the economies of scale.

vi. It had become clear to me that accessing the power of intention relieved so much of the seemingly impossible work of striving to fulfill desires by sheer force of will.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminded me that developing definiteness of purpose is the starting for every successful achievement in life as it directs me to know where I intend to go in life. As a Christian my goal is become more like Christ daily so that has influenced me, to live a lifestyle of sacrifice presenting my body unto God as my act of worship and to renew my mind by the Word of God every day.

vii. You’re holding in your hands evidence that anything we can conceive in our minds while staying in harmony with the universal all creating source can and must come to pass.

This idea is personally important to me it reminds me that everything first exist in the spiritual realm then as I imagine and meditate on it repeatedly my faith manifest it in the natural realm. I have seen myself praying for sick people in visions while praying many times and today I am living that dream, by laying hands on the sick ministering the healing power of God upon them.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

These ideas will help in a practical way in that I am going imagine them, personalize and meditate upon them repeatedly to saturate my mind and heart with them, so as to apply them in my life. I will repeat this process many times as I believe that practice makes perfect. To create a better would I will teach and train others about the principles I have learned.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“Alone we can do nothing, but together our minds fuse into something whose power is far beyond the power of its separate parts. The kingdom cannot be found alone, and you who are the kingdom cannot find yourself alone.”

This quote is important to me because it emphasizes the radical truth that the sum is greater than parts therefore when we are united we can do a lot of work easier because we complement each other.

“Practice thinking from the end by playing the match game, and by realigning yourself with the field of intention.”

This quote is important to me because it reminds me to focus my mind on what I desire and intend to achieve which will illuminate the picture of my goal as opposed to amplifying hindrances.

“Be abundant. Intention is endlessly abundant. There is no scarcity in the universal invisible world of Spirit.”

This statement is important to me because it inspires me to be intentional about everything I desire to do knowing that God has already made unlimited provision in the spirit world to fulfill my dream, mine is to explore and dare to unleash my full potential.

“Make meditation a regular practice in your life.”

This statement is important to me because in Joshua 1:8 God has us meditation of the word as a recipe for biblical success. God has given me a tool to develop success mentality consistently which works in all circumstances if I apply it.

“As a man thinketh so is he.”

This statement is important to me because everything in my life starts as a thought and if I think on positive thoughts continually, I will become what I meditate on.

“Seize every opportunity, no matter how small, to give your life away in service.”

This statement is important to me as it inspires me to use every opportunity I get in life as it is allows me to improve the lives of others through time, gifts and talents God has given to me.

“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

This statement is important to me as it reminds me that I am the son of God as He is the one who gave birth to me through His word and the Holy Spirit, so I am a partaker of divine nature like Him therefore I have the ability to imitate Him.

“Love is the force behind the will of God.”

This statement is important to me because it attest to the fact love is the one that inspires His words and actions therefore myself as His offspring it is imperative to be rooted and grounded in His love.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and if so why?

No, I understand everything within the context that the author of the book is writing it, I have disagreements I find it to be a well researched book with valuable information for changing my mindset to stay connected to the invisible power of intention and shape my own world.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes the book contained some exercises for me to complete. Yes I completed them all and found them helpful as they challenged me to do things that help me to grow mentally and live a disciplined life that bring success if practiced consistently.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so please comment.

No, there is nothing. I feel the questions deal with all important points.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 10
B. How helpful were the contents? 10
C. How easy was it to understand? 9

Unlimited Power
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book is to show us that every man can live the successful life of their dreams by modeling human excellence, applying the ultimate success formula and by understanding the keys to controlling our behaviors and attitudes.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. “Action is what unites every great success. Action is what produces
results. Knowledge is only potential power until it comes into the hands of someone who knows how to get himself to take effective action. In fact, the literal definition of the word “power” is “the ability to act.”

This idea is personally important to me it reminds me that wisdom which defined as application of knowledge (what I have learned) is the main thing I should seek in life so that I will be able to deal wisely in all the affairs of life. In life as a leader I have learned that in order to become an effective leader I must make reading my lifestyle.
I have become an effective servant leader who is able to lead people to achieve their God ordained purposes at different levels of society.

ii. “The birth of excellence begins with our awareness that our beliefs are a choice. We usually don’t think of it that way, but belief can be a conscious choice. You can choose beliefs that limit you, or you can choose beliefs that support you. The trick is to choose the beliefs that are conducive to success and the results you want and to discard the ones that hold you back.”

This idea is personally important to me, because it reminds me of Joseph who was sold by his brethren to the Ishmaelites and ended up being locked in the prison of Egypt. The Bible says Joseph was in prison yet blessed because He believed in Jehovah so his presence was with him everywhere. The beliefs of Joseph made him to have an excellent spirit and there was promoted to become the Prime Minister of Egypt. After graduating from high school I had to supplement one subject first before I could qualify for a degree at University. I faced many challenges as my admission and scholarship were delayed but I never gave up hope because I focused on my goal of getting a degree which I got after completing my studies in four years.

iii. “The road to success is always under construction. It is a progressive course, not an end to be reached.”

This idea is personally important to me it advises me not to relax and stop after reaching a certain level of success because, there are other higher levels of prosperity that I must still reach. If I stop learning, then I stop growing and if I stop growing, then I stop leaving. Currently I have written two books and I am writing other two books that I am looking forward to releasing the net two months.

iv. “People who consistently succeed are those who can commit all of
their resources, mental and physical, to work together toward achieving a task.”

This idea is personally important to me because if provokes me to use all the time, possessions and talents God has made a steward of faithfully so as to fulfill the assignments I must undertake. When I study the word of God, I use different study aids like Bible concordance of Greek and Hebrew, different Bible versions and Bible commentaries in order to broaden my understanding of the word of God.

v. “How you feel is not the result of what is happening in your life; it is your interpretation of what is happening. Successful people’s lives have shown us over and over again that the quality of our lives is determined not by what happens to us, but rather by what we do about what happens.”

This idea is personally important to me because I have observed that people working under the same environment sometimes experience different results, so I have developed the mentality of focusing on the positive aspects of life, even in the midst of negative circumstances. While I was still in tertiary doing my undergraduate degree my leg broke while playing football, it was in the beginning of the first semester and it derailed many plans I had at that time as I wanted to attend inter-varsity games but I couldn’t. I stayed at home for one week and had to come back to school to catch up. However I worked hard the whole year passed my second year in spite of challenging health condition.

vi. “Success is simple. First, you decide what you want specifically;
and second, you decide you’re willing to pay the price to make it happen—and then pay that price.”

This is idea is personally important to me because it encourages by showing steps that I should take in order to be successful in life. The idea reminds me of my motto of discipline, love and hard work as I believe that in order to get something in life I have to give something. In January 2017 when the Holy Spirit inspired me to go to Bible College to be equipped for ministry, I was in a process of applying for post-graduate and scholarship in India but I made a choice of not submitting applications so as to answer the calling of God on my life. Its been a long journey of four years learning and postponement of graduations in 2020 due to Covid 19 pandemic but eventually we are graduating on the 5th of March this year.

vii. “The movers and shakers of the world are often professional
modelers; people who have mastered the art of learning everything they can by following other people’s experience rather than their own. They know how to save the one commodity none of us ever get enough of time.”

This idea is personally important to me because life is like a game of football in which two teams play against each other. In order to win the players are supposed to play and support each other. Learning from other people’s mistakes is one of life wisdom to get move from where we are to where we want to get, which have helped me not to repeat same mistakes our forerunners made. I have learned a lot from books written by great authors like Dr. Myles Munroe, Napoleon Hill, Bob Proctor, just to name a few over a short period of time. Reading their books have greatly impacted my character, through principles, knowledge and strategies that I have adopted apply them in different areas of my life like ministry, relationships and financial stewardship.

This quote is important to me because everything in my life begins as thought, which I sow to become my words, my words become my habits when I sow them, my habits become my character when I sow them and my character become my destiny. People who think deeply are the ones who invent new things to meet people’s needs and therefore become pioneers who leave a good legacy to be followed after their departure on earth.

“What we believe to be true, what we believe is possible, becomes what’s true, becomes what’s possible.

The duties and responsibilities I perform are the ones that validate these callings.

“If you would win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are his sincere friend.”

This quote is important to me because, it tells me that the way to make a person give me what I desire is by winning his heart, to tell him what he wants to hear and to promise him that he will get what he wants in exchange.

“The difference between those who succeed and those who fail isn’t what they have; it’s what they choose to see and do with their resources and their experience of life.”

Leadership for Dummies
Assessment by Bob Maepe (Lesotho)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea that the author is trying to address in this book, is to teach its readers principles that can be applied in leading organizations, so as to be an effective leader that will steer his team to achieve its intended goals and objectives.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

i. Like everyone you work with, you have the potential to be a great leader by having a positive influence on the way people around you think, feel and act.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me that leadership purpose is servant-hood therefore I was born to serve not to be served. I have served as a leader in many spheres of life but in particular I remember at University where I served as a leader in different students associations, and that influenced members to award executive committees certificates to recognize an outstanding service we have provided.

ii. Leading people starts with leading yourself; you have to look inwards at yourself before you look outwards towards the people you work with.

This idea is personally important to me, because it reminds me that I have to become a leader of myself first, before I can master the art of leading others effectively. I usually communicate with myself to develop my communication skills and practice to lead others in private when I am with other people.

iii. Leading yourself means finding out about yourself and then putting your increased self-knowledge to good use..

This idea is personally important to me because, getting to discover about myself helps to develop my leadership skills in order to become an effective leader. Through the process of self discovery I have found that I have good inter-personal commutation skills therefore I use apply them everywhere I am serving as a leader most especially as a pastor of the church.

iv. Increasing your self-knowledge enables you to be authentic: the people who work with and for you respect you when they perceive you as being genuine, especially when you act with integrity and have a genuine interest in them.

This idea is personally important to me because people are seeking leaders who are honest and true about themselves who can help them to develop in character. I recently enrolled in Christian leadership courses, which helped my to know other strengths and weaknesses I was not aware of, therefore now my interest in my students have increased and I am now focused on growing in areas I have weaknesses.

v. Leadership is a process: not only a process that goes on between you (the leader) and the people who report to you (your staff), but also one that includes you and them in the sense that you all influence, and are influenced by, the process.

This idea is personally important to me because I believe it makes me aware that as a leader I am being developed as well, as I impart knowledge to my staff, therefore there is ongoing growth in understanding, knowledge and wisdom through interaction between myself as a leader and my followers. As a mentor, trainer and life skills coach I have realized that, as I spend more time imparting knowledge to my students through mentorship, I also become a better leader.

vi. To be a successful leader, you need to continually develop yourself and your staff: your own and their positive qualities, relevant skills and competences.

This is idea is personally important to me because I understand if I stop learning as leader then growing in knowledge and if I stop growing I become stagnant. My staff as professionals also needs to be developed in skills through trainings so that they are well equipped for the duties and to solve problems in the market place. As a leader I am always on the lookout for short leadership courses so as to enhance my leadership skills to become relevant to the demand in the workplace.

vii. Remain conscious at all times of your behavior and the actions you’re taking in leading and managing people, to increase the likelihood of you having the desired effect on your team, and achieving the outcomes you intend.

This idea is personally important to me because it reminds me that I should monitor my conduct closely to make sure that I lead by good example to my followers, as they are likely to accomplish the goals put when they realize that I live what I teach. As a pastor I always keep an eye on my conduct in relation to the biblical ministerial ethics so that I can influence my congregation positively for the kingdom of God.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?

I will also help my followers with them so that they can know themselves better and how they are to conduct themselves within the workplace.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“You can accelerate developing into the leader you want to be by actively seeking feedback from the people who report to, and work with, you about the effect you have on them and how they perceive you.

This quote is important to me because it will motivate me as a leader to even work harder to help my staff improve their performance at work.

“Adopt a positive rather than negative attitude towards difficult situations so that you can learn as much as you can from adversity.”

This quote is important to me because, my attitude in life determines how far I will go in life and my relationship with other people.

“Being an authentic leader requires you to show a genuine interest in other people, as well as being true to yourself by behaving in accord with your values. You can’t be authentic by focusing on what’s important to you while ignoring the needs and values of other people.”

This quote is important to me because it emphasizes the fact that in being a leader of integrity I must consider both my life principles and standards of others so as to bring a balanced approach mentality.

“Walk your talk! Live your values by behaving in ways that fit with them because doing so is the best way to promote and reinforce them: people who report to you take more notice of what you do than what you say.

This quote is important to me because it makes me aware that, I must align my actions with my words as my staff will judge me based on my behavior.

“Whenever possible, use face-to-face communication to convey your values, and the associated behaviors, to the people who report to and work with you.”

“As the leader of your team, your overall job purpose and objectives are the same as your team’s purpose and objectives.”
“Enthusiastically convey the purpose of your team and the objectives and results that you’re all aiming for to everyone in your team and to other departments that your team works with and rely upon to succeed.”

This quote is important to me because it will enable my staff to thoroughly know their roles and responsibilities which they must fulfill in order for us to reach our goal as the organization. It also essential to know the part played by other supporting departments without which we cannot reach our intended goal.

“Applying the 80/20 rule to your job means identifying the 20 per cents of the tasks and activities to spend your time on that enable you to be 80 per cent successful in your job. You have to focus on the most valuable tasks and activities: out of all the things you can spend your time doing, you need to decide which tasks and activities are a priority for you to achieve what you need to.”

This quote is important to me because putting first things first will make everything to fall in its rightful place, in the process ensuring that we attain the desired results.

“Along with everyone else who has a job, you’re in the conversion industry: you take inputs and convert them into more valuable outputs. That’s how you add value to the organization you work for.”

This quote is important to me because it describes the part played by everyone in the organization, to process raw materials into finished products, and services which are able to meet the needs of our clients.

“The more you involve people in creating a vision, the more they feel part of it, own it and be committed to achieving it.”
