2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Your Mind and Body
If you would perfect your body, guard your mind, if you renew your body, beautify your mind, thoughts of malice, envy should not been satisfied nor rob the body of it’s health and grace, also peace of mind. Once we beautify our mind and eliminate every type of envy, we have peace of mind and that peace of mind is good for the body and soul.
ii. Calmness of mind
This is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It presence is an absolute indication ripened experience and of a more than ordinary knowledge of the law and operations of our thoughts as humans we are naturally open to conflict but with a clear conscience and Calmness of mind, there’s a resolution to dialogue for a peaceful environment for all
iii. An upright character
An upright character which continually reflects an example to the community, deep thinking which is a great secret that separate the winners from the whiners, just like in a family of six children the youngest daughter was so determine in knowing everything knowledgeable. She learned a lot of vocation skills which helped her to be financially okay to support herself all thru the days of her University degree, although a lot of people even her parents never believed in the ability of their child because she was so young start doing all these skills after some years of watching and trying to see a different light in their daughter finally they both supported her to the end.
iv. Thoughts and character
Our thoughts are actually who we are, if a man’s thoughts are evil, pain comes on the individual as the wheel in ox behind and if one endures, in purity of good thoughts, joy follows him and his own shadows will. What we think and our character are also part of our culture, how we have been groomed to becoming a better person .
v. A noble and God like character
This is not a thing of favor or chance, but it’s the natural result of continued efforts in the right thinking, with the right thinking and I learned to associate myself with the same like minds because I knew I had good thoughts, never thinking of hurting my fellow humans, valued people’s opinions, shared the good and tough times with them and also shared the little I was having, making sure I supported not matter how little it was because if Jesus Christ could feed five thousand people with two loaves of bread and five fishes I found more happiness in doing so and getting everyone gets a bite.
vi. Right Choices
By the right choices and application of thoughts the human ascends to the divine perfection, this is faith in God and oneself. Faith kept me up till now. I trusted God for all that was happening to me because I know I was created in his own image. I had to have the right thinking and the right thoughts drastically my health began to take new changes my lineament began to heal, likewise my twisted veins and cells started giving way to a new skin. God kept me because I completely put my faith in him and again we humans are the Masters of our thoughts, the molders of our character and the maker, sharper of our destiny.
vii. Doubt and fear
I had doubts and fear of the unknown, these two are the greatest enemies of knowledge and he who can encourage them who doesn’t slay them, that’s himself at every step. In 2013, my health became worst I couldn’t feel any sensation on my leg, doubt and fear crippled into me that the surgeries were not done well I poured hot oil on my legs still no feelings did a lot of wounds to myself to feel my legs still no sign then I made up my mind to travel to India for amputation of my legs, I have chosen the artificial limb which could allow me swim because I love swimming be a lot, two weeks to travel to India God showed me a revelation, he told me again you would walk on those legs I created and amputation was not for me. Immediately I woke up prayed for God to forgive me and I never made that journey anymore. Honestly doubt and fear are really enemies of knowledge, along this I decided to put my faith more in God, because he says the thoughts I have for my children are of good, sound mind to take us to an expected end and he always got us covered.
3. How will this ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?
A man only begins to be a man when he cease to whine, revile and commences to search for the hidden justice which regulates his life. Also circumstances doesn’t make the man it reveals him to himself. When you honestly need to know about something so important 1,you seek the face of God because he’s the omnipotence, he created us and knew what will become of us, we all have challenges and either should our circumstances limit us to what God always had in store for us, with the right action in Knowing the truth we can live in a peaceful environment and justice can prevail. In a world of many things going on, a man’s mind may be likened to a garden which maybe intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild but whether cultivated or neglected it must and will bring forth if no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed, seeds will fall therein and continue to produce their kind. In life I choose to always tell the bitter truth no matter how bad a person’s life might get, always strive, make an effort knowing that your creator is watching your efforts, he sees you still have faith and respect his words. He will always show up for you.
4. Quotes Are there any statement which the author made particularly got your attention. If so please quote them and comment to why they are important to you.
“A strong man cannot help a weaker unless that weaker is willing to be helped and even then the weak man must become strong of himself, he must by his own efforts, develop the strength which he admires in another, none but himself can alter his condition.”
“The dreamers are the saviors of the world, because humanity cannot forget it’s dreamers, it cannot let their ideas fade or die, it lives in them, it knows they as they realize which it shall one day see and know.”
“Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be, your ideal is the prophecy of what shall at last unveil.”
We live in a society where there are no jobs, standard of living is not stable and the government which governs the people are not ready to enhance stable supplies of food, job opportunity to help reduce the poverty in the society so I learned how to make liquid soap, starting tutoring, cash started flowing in. I was able to support myself. I just couldn’t wait for the government cater, not minding my disability I helped myself and others by tutoring them the way to surviving with or without the government.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Ericson Chinonso Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main idea the author was conveying in the book was A, always being focus. Also, have faith in oneself and believe you can always achieve whatsoever one puts is mind to no matter how hard nor painful life challenges may throw at us, we ought to believe in God, hope in him, trust in his doings and continuously have faith in oneself with perseverance and determination we always get to our destination in life.
2,What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why?
i. Patience
Just as Jonathan Livingston seagulls was patience in always making effort to be great, not minding the pains he was going through, the refusal and other seagulls who believed he can never get to where he wants, it a proof of so many ordeals in life I encountered with my health. Doctors gave up on me, evenly they tried using me as a laboratory rat, I kept going in for different surgeries with the patience of finding new treatments in fixing my legs. Also I had patience in dealing with siblings in the cause of my years of health condition and also with you colleagues in the office. I valued and respected each other with the patience of knowing each one better and to see the good in them.
ii. Hope
The virtues of hope was something Jonathan believed in. Just like myself when I was a child my hope was becoming a blessing to my generation, the world but life challenges slowed me down. Still my hope never stopped increasing to fulfill my destiny.
I had an accident when I was 22 years old a final year student of University of Port Harcourt, a Mirco-Biology student with lots of dreams in surgeries saving soul, undergo three different surgeries my hope never died. I would have given up but I kept fighting because there’s a child out there who needs me. I started supporting six girl children, teenagers with my little volunteering job, because in a world where there’s hope and love we all live in one spirit. Honestly God was my only hope I had to keep fighting just like Jonathan kept fighting to improve, my legs are not okay yet but by God’s grace I would be fully better and continue to give hope to the hopeless.
iii. Knowledge
As Jonathan kept learning more in the ability of what he can become everyday in the history of the seagulls. I started to study more in medical science thru the internet because of my health. I found a lot of research on getting a new treatment on my legs and before the years of the accident I worked in a laboratory where they produce and sell drugs. I knew the dosage of each drugs, it limitations. In the process of recovery I started to take note of my medication given to me, gradually I noticed the price of about three injections I was taking was so expensive and I knew how much those injections cost due to my experience, knowledge at the pharmacy. I told my mom about it, even their prices and insisted she let the doctors give her a signature to allow her go buy the drugs herself because we can’t afford to pay anymore, he refused but later agreed we go purchase them.
On getting to the drugs store an injection I was charged 15 thousand Naria for one which I take three times in a day was actually three hundred and fifty Naria per one.she got all these drugs in bundle and due to because I had the knowledge and my mom believed in what I told about the price range my hospital billing was more lesser for my parents to afford. There’s power in knowledge.
iv. Understanding
Jonathan always knew what he wanted, the journey was not an easy one but still he chooses to understand every pain, opportunity, lessons he came across. I was affected on both legs, left hand, face twisted back and spine-cord. The traditional bone doctors were able to fix my twisted face front, left hand but couldn’t fix my legs due to chronic infection I nor my family knew. I started researching on the internet, reaching out to different doctors so I could understand my condition. I was paralyzed for 6 years couldn’t move, couple of two years later I was taken to hospital for treatment there the doctors diagnosed me with chronic osteoporosis and osteomyelitis and the only treatment was for they to flush the infection and I undergo surgery on amputation of my legs to survive me. I started talking to more doctors abroad if there could be another way out because I began to understand in Nigeria most doctors don’t treat with passion, patience to finding more research to a diseases along the line I started to get different opinions on a remedy to getting me fixed
v. Tolerance
As Jonathan had to tolerate his parents refusal of not going out at odd times but still in my life I had to tolerate different opinions from different doctors, my parents, friends and loved ones because I knew and believed they never saw what I was seeing. I had to tolerate everyone so as to get more information, knowledge of my health condition and practically it helped me and thank God I am still standing and fighting to be fully better.
vi. Affection
Along the cause of my recovery in the hospital, I grew more affectionate for humanity, saving lives was already part of my dreams, it grew up more intense, watching how individual struggle to stay alive, women fighting and striving in labor to bring forth a new creation, still on the wheel chair then physically talking to them, sharing in their depression regarding the ones who had miscarriage and single handedly giving out drugs due to insufficient nurses and with love encouraging them to take their drugs so as we all getting well and celebrate .
vii. Perseverance
I had to keep fighting when the doctors in Nigeria said the only solution was amputation, continued to do my own findings. I reached out to so many doctors in the world, had to call, Skype, then in China I spoke to Dr Ming he encouraged me to hang in, he started his research found some cures and with his findings I traveled to China for my needle therapy, green tea and other treatment I can’t remember and later I was able to walk not well yet but there was a change.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world. If so how?
These ideas had become part of me because it made up to be more conscious about everything in life, it helped me in my daily life and also eating right, be super careful of what I take into my body, having a background check on my health and in a lot of ways subconsciously extending my health. Lifestyle to family and friends making each and everyone understand we all have to be more concerned of our health
4. Quotes: Are there any statement which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you.
“Don’t be harsh on them, in casting you out, the other seagulls have only hurt themselves and one day they will know this and one day they will see what you see forgive them and help them to understand.”
“We choose our next world through what we learn in this one. Learn nothing and the next world is the same limitations and less weight to overcome.”
“We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skills, we can be free, we can learn to fly.”
In all these quotes which are part of my living, I hate to treat people in harsh way, because growing up I learned this saying from my parents treat people the way you want to be treated and also I read it in the holy Bible do unto others what you want others to do to you. It as simple as that, even when others don’t seems to value what you tell them or how you treat them equally just do your best and leave the rest. Later those words keep coming back to them and individually they begin to see the light in your words.
5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and if so why?
I understood clearly all the words from the beginning to the end of the book, also adding more value to my life in a more different way, it was so interesting because every chapter had something to deposit in my life, such an interesting book and I loved Jonathan’s determination to know more about flying .
6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?
No the book didn’t contain any exercises for the reader to complete.
7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that not covered in the previous questions, if so please comment.
No, there was nothing else to comment because book covered every detail to the letter.

Real Magic
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
What the author is trying is all about miracles, it’s not a book about other people’s miracles, but about oneself, the reader and how you can create miracles for yourself in your own life. This book was written with the expression purpose of showing one the ways to create what any individual may have previously thought to be impossible in their lives The author was also trying to convey Real Magic discovery into self improvement, our relationship and on spiritually.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Creating an inner path for real magic
I had to create an inner path for miracles and real magic in my life, because when I had the accident which affected my entire body, I chose to never give the devil a chance in my life to defeat me. I am physically challenged, I can’t walk long distance and once I put my legs down to walk around in the house, it was a painful experience and depressing one for that matter. I felt deep in my heart that God will never allow we his children he created in his own image to go through any life challenges without he showing up. Then I asked my parents to get me a wheelchair to enable me walk around the house without asking any one or help, though I felt I was a burden to them and I never wanted anyone having to pity me (this was the first real magic miracle I experience for myself) breaking lose of self pity from my family members not that they were complaining but I wanted to feel free like everyone home, to be able to able to walk around.
ii. Getting to purpose.
In the section of getting to purpose, I already knew what I wanted to achieve in life not minding my physical disability which I was experiencing because I have a father which is Good who will never let me down or fall again because he will always protect me in all.
I never thought myself as a mistake during all that suffering there can an enlightenment through suffering all the pain, trauma, hormonal imbalance and so on. I am was still standing and hopefully in all I go thru or whatever anyone goes through with confidence in your creator who created us in his own image, we will overcome and it will end in praise, during this period I became more passionate about saving humanity, the drive to fight for every girl child I came across making each and every soul that cross my path that every girl and woman are half of the society, you raise the other half and believe in God, yourself and work hard, the best is yet to come by God’s Grace.
iii. Your thoughts are something that you control and they originate within you.
This section is a reality to me. I grew up having good thoughts of how I wanted life to be for me, growing up in a family filled with love caring for one another before I encountered my accident which led to my physical disability. In the process my dream increased with lots of positive vibes of being a blessing to myself, family, children, less privileged and old people. I knew I can’t take care of everyone, but still I believed there’s a way I could go about it with the mercy of God almighty. I couldn’t even remember most of my past life, friends and loved ones but gradually my second chance in life gave me a million family, that I am trusting and hoping God who gave me this destiny will support me in achieving my dreams and his will to humanity.
iv. There are no limits
Yes there are no limits because I am a testimony of achieving whatever you desire in life. I had this accident which led to me becoming physically disable in January 15, 2008 when coming home from school. I was then a final year student of university of Port Harcourt. The school authority gave be me a minimum of two years to back and complete my education but health wise I wasn’t able so I for fitted that career. Not until four years later I took another exam into a different School. I passed, was given admission to study Russian language in the university of Lagos which I turned down because after the entry exam due to stress on my legs I was admitted in the hospital back again because I just concluded the second surgery on my legs and was discharged with clutches to enable me walk; that was how I walked to the exam Hall. Later in 2014 I enrolled into a more flexible school that would benefit me health wise. I started reading on my condition from all medical books, spoke with different doctors, reading my Bible daily and my higher spirit strengthen me in knowing I can do all through Christ who strengthens me with God I saw the possible remedy to walking back on my legs.
v. You can overcome your weakness by leaving them behind.
This process in my life of leaving old habits became a lifestyle to me. Always wanting to do what is right and leaving an impact in people I come across in life. I got myself into complete harmony which became necessary for me to create real magic by working hard to make my community see that with or without any challenges in life. Once we trust and obey God our creator, He will always show up for us. Now I see myself counseling and supporting individuals with my disability, which before I couldn’t do. I have a new spirit and vibes to making life a better place for everyone.
vi. Becoming a spiritual being.
We all are born into the world of nature. Our second birth is into the world of spirit. All I am experiencing in my health and life generally made me understand I am a special being created in God’s own image. I understood when I pray to God he listens because he never sleep nor slumber, he’s God and my heavenly father. Just like here in Africa we grow up and heard stories of what our forefathers had committed. A lot of evil things and the innocent generations which after them never knew about all this evil deeds are now suffering from the sins of their fathers. Generally speaking Africa is blessed but not in peace and love. I always ask God daily in prayers for a renewal of my spiritual being leading and love to serve people in my own little ways, because that’s what we were called to earth to fulfill a purpose of service to each other.
vii. Ask nothing of anyone and practice unconditional acceptance.
This sector is just a practical way of my life and that’s how I expect others to be but we all can never be the same. Our purpose, dreams and every other things in life are different from the other. I don’t earn much in life, but the little I make I always try to give out to the less privileged; old people’s homes and take care of myself medically. I do all this without asking for anything in return because we came to this world with nothing and so we will leave with nothing, I understood the simple meaning of life because when you willingly give to people, you gain more in different ways and you never lack.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?
These ideas or lessons are helping me already because it has become my lifestyle physical, mentally, spiritual to myself and it helps me function that the right way in life with others. These ideas also teaches me that, it’s in you, you have what it takes to achieve all your purpose and in helping people find their path in this physical world, just like the words of Lao-tzu in Tao-te Ching. When you find the way, others will find you, Passing by on the road they will be drawn to your door, the way that cannot be heard will echoed in your voice. The way that cannot be seen will be reflected in your eyes.
This words are a guiding light towards my life, because when you live a life of transparency, tranquility with peace and love. You reflect that to other people and in one unity the world becomes a better place for us all.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made particularly got your attention? If so please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you.
“Using your thoughts to create your relationship.”
This was a question what do you think about those people with whom you are in a relationship, remember what you think about is what expands and your thoughts originate with you. Myself for example being in a relationship with my family members was a process which I am getting to understand because how I feel and think things through is totally different from how my siblings will feel or understand things. My mom always corrects me on this aspect. She says you are not different from your siblings but your thoughts are what makes you all different. Also with my relationship with people in my place of work. I believe we all should know what’s right and wrong. What my mama taught me to understand and with the help of this book I fully understood how to relate with people and better my relationship with my siblings and avoid being judgmental.
“Getting your relationship to purpose”
Generally speaking the quality of our lives is directly connected to the quality of our relationship to the people in our lives, truly our relationship reflect how we relate to ourselves. I am a peaceful, loving, fun person to be around with. I love to add value to every aspect in life. I love to see people grow because it gives me peace of mind and joy with this attitude I have a blissful relationship with my mind and body, always happy no matter how life challenges may take. I never allow any negative feelings in my life and am always positive so I reflect this out to everyone in whom I relate especially family members, my personal relationship on purpose in becoming a better woman, mother in my future family.
5. Is there anything in the body that you do not understand or are unclear about or are there ideas, which you disagree with and if so why?
All ingredients of a perfect life in this book are so clear to the understanding of a lame man and I did understand and agree with every word in this book.
6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?
No there were no exercises in the book but I did find some important articles which I jotted down to practice for personal growth in empowering my cause in making and adding greatness to humanity.
7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous question? If so please comment.
No there was actually nothing to comment because Wayne W. Dyer covered it all .

The New Dynamics of Winning
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main idea the author is trying to convey is to the reader on how to practice goals which leads to success. It helps me to focus on my mind for peak performances any day, anywhere and anytime even on how paying the price prepared me for more success.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed up by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. The drive to win.
Growing up my parents always made sure we make an effort to making sure we strive to win in any games which we were involved in high school. I was into basketball. I love the game so much. Whenever my team was playing, my parents weren’t available to watch me due to work and business outside the country, instead my aunt will show up in place of my parents. Even in homework my parents made me to understand you have to put in more efforts to making sure you win even when we are not around to be there with you. They were not looking or forcing me to score the first position in class which some parents do. But growing up everyday tradition got used to me in making sure I put in more efforts and the drive to win in all my studies and it is helping me a lot in many ways. Even when I fail at some things I was told you learn from your failure in a positive way with a positive mental attitude as a child then grew me up into a winner.
ii. The Olympian Within.
I never knew I had a strong spirit of perseverance in me, during high school days I was into school race(Running) when I started I was happy and excited, but due to my health condition my parents made sure to indicate on my doctor’s report that I was asked not to do anything hard and my guardian and school teachers treated me like an abnormal kid, totally different from other students. Within me I felt was all this necessary, any competition of racing in physical education then I was excluded and with this I kept calm and let it go. Not until senior secondary days the school principal and some other teachers were changed. I and some girls because it’s an only girls college. I started training back again into basketball, running and dancing. In this section of my senior high college I was a social perfect. I got so involved into all the games which I was deprived in my Junior high school days. My physical education teacher wasn’t changed/removed from the school so he asked I come see him in his office. When I did visit him, we discussed and to my surprise he was willing to train me into becoming a better player, training started. I couldn’t believe I could go through all the exercises because I was breaking down in between, admitted in hospital. I got wounds on my fingers, I was weak but still my coach kept telling me you have what it takes to achieve and lead the school because we had a competition with other school. After much more training, along the line I grew prepared, stronger, focused and tactical in my games, which led to my school winning the competition.
iii. Paying the price.
In life I was always ready to pay the price in adding value to myself and generally everyone around me. I am always open to learning new things everyday in life even whenever people make fun of me, I overlooked their attitudes and keep aiming higher because I am paying the price mental, academically, spiritually in becoming a more better person positively to adding values to myself, family, community and the world. I grew up knowing you go to school, study hard, have a good relationship with God, help people around you even when they are not related me so I made it a part of my life in making sure I postively impact everyone who crosses my path in this journey of life.
iv. Visualization of victory
This aspect of seeing and believing in yourself that you will make it in life no matter what goes on kept me moving and aiming higher everyday, someday I aspire to fully work with the United Nations, though am physically challenged now but there’s a solution to my condition. After the accident, three years later I enrolled into the university again. This time was to study Russian language at the University of Lagos. I did some research regarding Russian language and found it’s not part of I needed to enable me work with the UN. After the entrance exam which got me this admission I broke down seriously due to the stress I encountered during the written entry exams and was hospitalized back again for six months. After all of the treatments I was fine but the doctors indicated I never stress my legs again because I was diagnosed with chronic Osteomyelitis, an infection of the bone. I listened to the doctors and I started searching on schools online I could attend because of my health condition. My brain wasn’t affected and I couldn’t just keep listening to one doctor over and over again. So I found a school online, applied and was given admission again this time was the course I needed peace studies and conflict resolution. I joined some national organization which assisted in imparting my knowledge into me and I keep inspiring to make the world a better place for everyone with my disability about rounding up my studies. I am grateful to God for all of the strength to pull through in the midst of everything. To everyone out there always believe in God and yourself, you are greater than what you think, know and believe in your potential.
v. Letting your mind relax your body.
This was the only better solution to making life get better and stronger in my health, because I knew this was it. Eventually when I met and spoke to some many Orthopedic surgeon abroad. They investigated my case; their opinions and decisions came to mind. I was asked to relax; try to live life normally, focus on everything I desire to do and when we are financially ready for the surgeries I get across to them through Email or phone calls. Its not an easy process for me because whenever I encounter relapses and traumas, I break down totally and am a final year student writing my final degree exams this year and hopefully by God’s grace am undergoing treatment to get fully better. So setting your mind to relax your body was the best remedy for me.
vi. Commitment ignite action.
As we know that commitment is to pledge yourself to your purpose it also means practicing your beliefs consistently. Therefore two fundamental conditions for commitment is first, having a sound sets of beliefs. There’s an old saying that goes like this stand for something or you’ll fail for anything. The second is faithful adherence of those beliefs with your behavior, possibly the best description of commitment is persistence with a purpose.
vii. Self Confidence and Self Transformation.
After high school, I graduated at age 15,and my parents wanted me to get into the university so early but I wanted to learn a skill work and practically start a small scale business, which my parents agreed and I started my first business which was selling of units(recharge cards) for all telecommunication network. This business grew me up financially. I started to make more plans, my dream grew bigger and I began to save and I became conscious of everything I was doing. I grew more in confidence in myself because I was dealing with different people, who were quite older in age. I respected their opinions and decisions gradually in nine months of my business. I decided to learn tailoring. This skill transformed me into a more domesticated young lady. Learning this skill transformed me into a very patience young lady because I needed to learn more from other people, I will be sent on an errand, which on a normal day I only go on errand by my parents. It has made me into a more better young lady in treating people same way you want to be treated with respect and humility.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily life and in helping you to create a better world? If so how?
The most important ideas which are helping me in a practical way both in my daily personal life and in helping me create a better world are self trust, self worth, the five fundamentals of self esteem. One must learn how have self trust which is the ability to feel positive, responsible and in control of what takes place as you aim to test your limits.
One must believe in his/her ability, one’s worth of happiness and success in achieving their goals, regardless of how you may feel differently from whatever life challenges throws at you.
The five fundamentals of self esteem is another amazing ideas am really loving in this book, it emphasis that one should be aware that self esteem or the lack of it, is at the root of all behavior, both positively or negatively.

He’s also trying to convey more aspects of life to anyone who comes across this book the secrets of unleashing one’s true power and potential which is setting goals that are exciting enough which this goals truly inspires ones own creativity and helps ignite One’s passion.
2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life?
i. Goal-Setting
This is an aspect of everyone’s lives on how to become a better person to oneself both in personal well being, because enrichment lays down the foundation for every other achievements in one’s life. Growing up we as a family, one was trained in a way of knowing, planning and setting our goals for us, there was a time table on how everything from house chores to dish washing individually, cleaning oneself and going to school, when I got to high school which was a boarding school it still helped me in becoming a more active and better student and kept me focused on other things. Goal setting always gives me a brighter light towards achieving my dreams even if not all now, but I know and believe am going to achieve them all soon.
ii. Commitment
Staying true to oneself and focusing on achieving my goals, dreams is pretty part of my lifestyle. Being committed in every aspect of my life had and still keeps me on the right track in my life, be it in my career, in my health, in my relationship with God, in my with other siblings, family members and other individuals and in saving humanity which includes supporting every teenagers be it a girl or boy, old people who are in need of one assistance or whatsoever, being committed 100% has been part of me because no matter how tough or weary life can be I always love to see ,put a smile on someone’s face not minding what I am going through personally, because staying true and committed to your real self and focusing in achieving your dreams you automatically and unknowingly spread same love and kindness back to people and we all live a happy, healthy life.
iii. Mental Conditioning
As a kid to a teenager and to an adult I am now, always my parents taught and showed us to always have a good positive mental attitude in dealing with life challenges no matter what we encounter be it only makes one stronger and life is beautiful with ups and downs which makes or breaks us into becoming our own heroes. Having a good mental state or conditioning has helped me with becoming a very positive, heads up lady, with my health condition when my doctors in Nigeria diagnosed me with chronic bone infection. All said I can’t not be treated because no solution to my health condition because of the living God I serve which is Sweet Jesus, because of his love for me and my trust, faith in him and his words because I know he never lies and his words and promises never lie I was able to find other orthopedic surgeon and doctors in Nigeria and I undergo two different surgeries and preparing for the last one abroad which will enable me to walk better with no support so I can fully keep building my career, dreams and saving humanity, my postive mental conditioning has always and is still helping me because life is beautiful with it’s challenges and when life gives you lemon you make out lemonade.
iv. Persistence
This always overshadows even talents as the most valuable resources in shaping the quality of one’s life, after all no one ever achieved a goal by being interested in it’s achievements, one must be committed. Growing up I always believed in myself and in Good that no matter what I come across in life achieving my careers, dreams, health, relationship I must always persist in good and open minded because I don’t believe in one’s man words. I believe in God, science and researching everyday because with continuous persistent one can always attain and achieve whatsoever he/she plans on becoming in life, like myself for example I was totally crippled, laying on the floor for 8years, couldn’t see nor notice the smell or taste of things practically a healthy living girl back then, but to the glory of God now I can see, I can feel, smell and do everything I couldn’t before with my positive mental conditioning and persistent I am conquering and to anyone out there thinking because I can’t walk or anything trust in God, believe in you and continue to persist the sky is so big for all of us.
v. How to get what you really want
Be it pain, pleasure and mental state, every great and commanding moment in the annals of the world is the triumph of some enthusiasm because in life to get what I really wanted. I had to first discover what will actually prevent me from achieving it or taking actions guess as the saying goes which is true and right our parents are our caretakers on earth, we have to obey and respect what we told and taught as a child and as one begin to grow and mature I started to learn how to apply more wisdom into everything our parents taught us because someday I will be a mom and a parent. I’m not saying whatsoever our parents instructions we do or follow or avoid are always bad for example i made some mistakes as a kid, learned from my experiences and became more matured in understanding those things better which then my parents was insisting on for the betterment of every child and which was a better way which was go to school, get a degree, Get some skills and support yourself and not selling one’s body to achieve all that God has destined for us, life is as simple and peaceful as that. Staying true to oneself, being focused, hard-working and studying hard to becoming the change you need and the heroes to saving humanity.
vi. The power to create and the power to destroy (Beliefs)
It’s the mind that maketh good of all. That maketh wretch or happy, richer or poor.
Basically our beliefs of what we are capable of can create a positive or a negative influence in one’s lives. I grew up knowing and believing that I have the ability to create no only as a woman (procreation) but by always speaking positive words to myself and encouraging others in believing in themselves. Motivating others to be good examples to yourself and unknowingly as an individual you transcend that positive mental attributes to everyone you come across. And the power to destroy for me is by putting people down, making them feel less of a human or in a lame’s words taking advantage of them, I feel no matter how a situation maybe never run your fellow down in a negative way, for example we have some kids in the community whom steals due to lack of insufficient food supply home and no good parenting background I believe that when you nurture a child into this world there should be a plan for that child, practically these kids feels our parents don’t care about us and whatever we do to survive is not their own business. I tell couples be prepared to have a plan for your children and good parenting upbringing you bringing that child loves and cherish that child, along the journey of upbringing you get weary and feeble in taking care of that child you so much love. This is where the power of destroy starts no matter how little as a parent you earn once you can share that little among your children’s needs which are the basic health, education and follow up and in doing this making sure your kids gets to know and understand you are doing the right thing to give them a good life I promise these children will study hard; make their parents proud, take care of them and their personal selves, then we have a better world of the power to create and the will to transcend all our good positive mental conditioning to the next generation .
vii. Get the knack of change
Change is a very important and essential to me because without change I wouldn’t have gotten some experiences. Be more open to learning and achieving new things everyday. It was a must I learned to take personal responsibility for myself because no one can program me, I learned to study and condition myself to be a more better soul by positively reaching out to other people and saving humanity for a better world in my own little way and proving to the world that I know my health issues. I have people who believe in me and looks up to me with a lot of hope that if I can make it educational in purity, hard work and determination anyone can, because I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

4. Quotes: Are there brief quotes from the book which really got your attention? If so, please list and comment on them.
“The human spirit is truly unconquerable, the will to win, the will to succeed, to shape one’s life; to take control can be harnessed only when you decide what you want and believe that no challenges, no problem, no obstacles can keep you from it.”
This quote is truly cherished by me because when I was in a very critical stage of my health condition I was willing to go through all it took for me to get a bit strong now be it intravenous injections which can be super painful, herbal therapy and hot massages by my Chinese doctor to enable my veins to get back on track and active. My cells were not responding due to no enough blood circulations. It was a painful, encouraging and striving period during those early stages but God kept me; gave me more strength in helping me in fulfilling my dreams, keep supporting others who share same health condition and lots of other people with disabilities and saving humanity. Truly obstacles are merely a call to strengthen your resolve to achieve your worthwhile goals.
5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?
Yes there were some exercises which I did and included those exercises to my lifestyle and it’s improving me to stay more true to my goals in setting my business.

In the process of trying to strive to conquer a quest which means your dreams or any form of challenges life throws at you, I know it’s not easy but when you give it all to God and have a strong positive mental conditioning it might take a while but it will come true. Always remember Destiny cannot be changed it can only be delayed in as much as one is living he/she is a hope to the hopeless and a Miracle in the making.

i. Personal mental attitude and it application towards my life.
it has been the most important drive to me, it keeps teaching me to applying it in every aspect of my life, health, career, businesses, relationships ,my growth and marriage because without a positive mental attitude I wouldn’t function properly with the challenges of life I encountered, positive mental attitude really helped me more with my health.my business relationships, it supported me in becoming more patience in dealing with others, making some good or bad days experiences with others right.
ii. Understanding the Sense as a key to mental positioning.
In the progress of reading while studying this book I fully understood that whatever affects my mind also affects my mental health due to the accident which affected my entire body. I knew in my brain I have to survive, thrive because I had a lot in me to give back to my world, I was 22,younger in my final year of my first degree studying micro biology, full of life but couldn’t make it to my final exams because of the accident, I really had a positive mental attitude towards life generally ,I had to keep speaking positive affirmations to myself daily all connecting into overcoming I experienced during that stage, I thought and believed I should be back to school to write my final exams in 6months on a wheelchair due to a fracture of both legs, spinal cord, left arm and face twisted back yet it wasn’t seen that way with all funds my family invested so I let my first degree go, battling with my health, kept hoping for the best, though my brain wasn’t affected I started going things right for the improvement of my health which helped me mentally.
iii. Adversity becoming a success
Studying this book and more other books which helping me on my personal development and achievements I fully understand that failure is never a failure until one has agreed and accepted the fact that he or she failed whenever I remember being so unhappy about losing my first degree due to my health problems then, now I just smile and praise God for being with me throughout the journey of becoming the bright diamond he created me for. During the early years of my health challenges I was limited on how long I could walk, stand or even do things for myself, I was depressed; had open wounds which still sores and whenever I go out people close their noses that got to me even though I was mentally positive. I wasn’t getting the right treatments here in Nigeria not until I came in contact with few doctors in israel and USA whom started proper treatments, changed my drugs placed me on supplements to regenerate my cells, ligament, bones and more, then there began a great transformation in my health, though a bit sore I can freely move around, travel, have my seminars and public speaking on my legs for an hour or two, these are same legs which the doctors in Nigeria evaluated amputation, I went back to school again; met great people and completed my second degree in peace studies and conflict resolution. Adversities are great mile stones in achieving one’s success with a positive mental attitude because what God can’t do does not exist.

Self care in my way of approach to dealing positively with me and treating others the way I need to be treated in every aspect of life. I got enough confidence that no matter how storms of life may get I will always overcome because our creator overcame and as long I trust in him, doing things right and not lean on my own understanding but of Jesus Christ, I got the confidence I so need in fulfilling life.
vi. Enthusiasm
This has been a tool of success in my growth especially in areas of entrepreneurship; it was more than just a push but an inward force within me to survive and achieving success in my life and businesses never giving up. As an entrepreneur for a reality one doesn’t make it immediately or cash flowing fast ,one has to be more open minded to acquiring more knowledge in trainings on how to expanding whatsoever skills one chooses, because becoming open minded, patience, reading books, getting a mentor or coach supports guides one in understanding that business, nobody knows it all we keep learning everyday on some more values towards the growth of business. “Managing your time, which includes how one directs his or her life which requires acknowledging what you desire in achieving one’s purpose. I realized life will always be life, full of stormy and rosie weather in it beautiful ways for the improvement of one betterment and in bettering humanity. Its experience has grown more focused to achieve things I could not believe I will, and in living my best life. Life happens but I choose how life treats me for good, I am and did achieving all chaos of life with PMA.

I have learned that the universe operates in accordance with myself and other individuals in including our collective beliefs and attitudes. I realized that no matter how bad my health situation was, because it was! I had the right attitudes, belief and a creative mind with a positive mentality to believe consistently in God even though i was given medications from the hospital which were killing my cells so I don’t feel my legs and eventually come to terms with amputation which the doctors concluded due to no good facilities which are drugs, instruments and others which were lacking in Nigeria.with the right attitude and belief I had, i began searching online for doctors abroad and found a lot of them, encouraging me that my health we can fix you and I shouldn’t give up on amputation. Firstly I went to China for treatments, because the Chinese doctors acknowledged there is a solution to help me begin feeling my legs, my trip to China lasted 8 months. Effective communication has better me in understanding myself and others. Success through a Positive Mental Attitude
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main ideas about the book that the author is conveying are basically on how to use one’s mind to achieving one’s purpose with a positive mental attitude.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideals followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Commuication Strategy Development
As humans we communicate for the purpose of understanding ourselves better; a man is mind and a body and he alone possess the tool of thoughts words and symbols, actually my subconscious mind instantly communicates to my conscious mind and I want to believe that is how it works for other people, through one word a sum total of combined meaning of different ideas, through positive words people would be motivated to do and become better. As an individual I have learned to communicate properly with my words and actions positively so as not to hurt people in every aspect of life, verbal and non-verbal. Because the power to attract and repel opportunities and personalities will favor one’s success principles in achieving one’s purpose in life.
ii. Develop Strategy for Problem Solving
I grew up understanding it is necessary to learn, develop and maintain logical reasoning and creativity skills. I began secondary school at the age of 9 years, a boarding school in another city outside where my parents base in Lagos Nigeria, which is in port Harcourt River State, I learned much from my mother as a little child especially in home cleaning and taking care of me. I learned how to think and act right to life in all situations, everyone has problems because everything in the universe is in constant process of change. I believe that when a man has a positive mental attitude, he faced every challenges or problem with his heads up and striving through those problems, tending to bow before one in becoming a conqueror while making it a responsibility to adopt and live through the (17) principles in one’s daily living.
iii. Business Development Strategies
I have come to realization that for one to make a living, an economic value has to be created through marketing and selling of activities or products among others. This book demonstrated the ability of successful men to create economic value from whatever profession they did, they made fast decisions, they made business collaborations guided with positive mental attitude consciousness, yet pointed the quickest way to be rich is to sell a product or render service that repeats because life thrives on business.
iv. Action speaks louder than voice
The self-starter was highly motivational. It is simple enough of the thinking, planning and talking about what one wants to do, rather one should start acting on them and one will definitely see what one want, I believe with a positive mental attitude when one desire a goal in life with the pleasing of God and humanity.
v. We plan, yet God has a better plan for us
The preparation of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue is from the lord, all the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the lord weighs the spirit. Proverbs 16-1-2. When making plans,I greatly advice one should put all plans in the hands of God, in reality one who fails to plan. Plans fail. It is positively needed to always seek divine guidance and I have come to see the effectiveness of prayers and God’s plans upon my life.
vi. Let your Light shine
Everyone is a light to the world, I agree with this because we all created by God ,as sons and daughters we created in his own image, we should always let our light shine here on earth, we should live a Christ like life and treat ourselves and humanity good.
vii. We really need to know what we want and focus on where to achieve our purpose.
I have always known what I want and need to fulfilling my purpose, building a relationship with God, my career, businesses, finances and marriage has been a top priority in my life. I am not perfect; yet I consistently try to do right in life and it has become a part of me. To my surprise some people haven’t come to the understanding of what they want and need. Needs are requirements that will guide one through lifetime, while wants are wish or desires. I always believe finding and knowing what one desire and need with divine guidance will become a successful in every aspect of life.
4. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
These ideas surely are very useful to me and it usefulness can not be over emphasized on a regular I attain in maintaining a better me, striving and thriving consistently with a positive mindset which has become my character that no matter what happens in the journey of life, whether rosy or stormy I will always overcome, conquer with PMA, once am better, my world is better.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got you attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

PsychoCybernetics
Assessment by Ericson Chinonso Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book.
The ideas which the author is trying to convey in this book is the simple essence practical way of life; growing to becoming a better individual in every aspect of life; living one’s best life with calmness, serenity and peace of mind. In other words accepting you for who you are and if as an individual desire a change, it starts with me in a positive mental way.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Discovering of one’s self image.
As an individual, discovering my self image is my determining factor in all case histories, including the failure as well as my success. I have come to the realization and acceptance of my health condition and moved on with my life and achieving my dreams, prayfully striving and thriving consistently on being better in my career, businesses, finances to making more cash inflow to enable me finalizing my last surgery, with God’s help I keep rediscovering my self image. I grew more confident, as a serial entrepreneur I created my own small business in beauty, health and wellness industry with the support of my companies I partner with total life changes, hopefully working on advancing into my masters program, gracefully fulfilling my dreams and I believe am God’s own blue print, created in his own image with him I am more than a Conqueror.
ii. The success mechanism
I understand that I and every human has an inbuilt mechanism by our creator which created our physical survival, spiritual needs, emotional needs, procreation and even more than this with the end goal of living a fulfilling life and this is the creative mechanism, servo- mechanism or success mechanism.
Servo-mechanism are divided into two general types for one’s understanding which is the target, goal or answer is known and the objective is to discover or locate it. Our human brain and nervous system operated in both ways, this mechanism is goal driven by our mind and impersonal to self. While servo-mechanism are so constructed that they automatically steer ways to our goals, it works based on the kind of information we feed into it ,either success or failure, because it needs a clear cut objective to drive out results for us as humans.
iii. Man is not a machine
Reading through the book which is an eye opener, I agree with the author that says man is not a machine, rather it says that man has a machine which he uses which is our physical brain and body functioning as a machine which only me operates that is the servo-mechanism and the complexity of this mechanism is a whole lot than it can be imagined. For example we all know a computer does not have a fore brain, it cannot pose problems to itself either it has no imagination and can not set goals for itself. It has no emotions, it cannot determine which goals are worth while, it only works on data fed to it by an operator. It was an interesting information for me and realizing as an individual when I set to do creative work in any field with a goal in mind, even though it might be vague, it will be recognized and appreciated when achieved, because the creative mechanism does goes to work in arriving at a solution till it gets the answer one has been searching for, therefore it is essential to having a positive goal as it supply the process to achieving the end result.
iv. Built on strength
Having read through the book, it is definitely helping me build more on my strength, while having more realistic self image of whom I am becoming. I discovered I am a sanguine and also share a blend of temperament of san- Mel’s and I am attracted to melancholy temperament which is an opposite an attract an emotional individual. I have grown to understand myself carefully in ways I couldn’t my mental health has really improved positively, I don’t let my emotions get ahead of me I handle things in a more clear calm way, sincerely this book has been a source of strength to me and with the help of my creator I am improving daily to direct my thoughts positively and thanks to the author.
v. Dehypnotize yourself from false beliefs.
I have grown to realize, understand, identify my potentials and abilities and be so confident in my ability. I automatically replace positive beliefs over negative beliefs in my life, because once you have a negative or self limiting beliefs one’s actions will be in support of this to prove it to be true, so negative beliefs causes an individual defeat he or her self because one can not express or bring into play his or her actual strength and again although this mental blockage must be removed so as one has to express true strength by positively changing our beliefs such as dehypnotizing one’s self from the ideas of they cannot, they are am not worthy or they don’t deserve a better life. I always tell people to better stop measuring up to others and accept oneself.
vi. Relaxation
I practice physical relaxation on a daily basis, it helps bring about a relaxed mental attitude for me which enables me to consciously control my body system. Physical relaxation also has a powerful influence in dehypnotizing one from negative attitudes and reaction pattern. Now I relax more and let my success mechanism work for me, sometimes I worry a lot, how things should be in my life, yet still I put myself together recognizing to completely trust my creator who has a plan for me before I was sent to earth .
vii. How to acquire success type personality.
For me having a sense of direction and goals in life is highly important and necessary, no matter what life throws at me I have goals I am striving to attain, to keep moving, ever looking back or giving up so as to focus on why I am at that particular stage of my goals with all clarity to gain momentum.
U- nderstanding
I always love to seeking and understanding every situation I find myself and to avoid misinterpretation to prevent causing confusion, due to wrong information. Honestly I must acknowledge the truth when I error so I can be able to appropriately resolve the situation and don’t draw wrong conclusion due to personal reasons.
C- ourage
I am a bold lady, bold in decision making and my actions, I don’t only think but face it head in and act no matter what, I face my fears and daily I have the courage to risk making mistakes , though am not perfect nor being humiliated for a step in the wrong direction. I understand who I am, I am a phenomenal woman blessed by God, ordained for greatness, a blessing to my generation, people look up to me without my knowledge.
C-harity.
There is an old saying charity begins at home, I grew up in a Christian family, I am spiritual and Christ like, so I should regard other humans and treat them as I should be treated.
E-steem
For me I encourage practice treating other people as they have some value and respect in same way my own self esteem is respected.
S-elf acceptance
for me is understanding that no real success or genuine happiness is possible until I gain some degree of self acceptance from myself, I should accept me for me, love on me, I am enough, the world needs me because it all starts with me.
S-elf confidence
For me having a self confident spirit to becoming better for me in achieving my success in this journey of life is a lifestyle and I practice successful attempts. I read inspiration books, audios, expand my knowledge while exposing myself in learning other cultures, languages

Goals
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)

I believe the author is basically conveying about achieving our goals in life, it helps to move the individual from a point of wherever intentionally I am to where I want and desire to be with a positive mental attitude and suggestions seeking path to a successful life.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Success is the intentional, premeditated use of my choices and decisions.
I have always believed I have to be certain about what it is I want and don’t accept less. having a positive mental attitude and being sure about all that is it I wanted in life has been graciously favoring me, yes life is beautiful and full of ups and downs yet I become more open minded and focus on my dreams, goals in becoming successful while not leaning on my own understanding but that of my creator (GOD) always allowing him lead me into my successful life.
ii. Being authentic
On a daily as my lifestyle I consistently remind myself to be unapologetically be me. I am happy with myself and never judge every stages of my life, because realizing I got my own path in life, along side with God almighty as my guardian, my parents, siblings, husband, kids. I choose to be real, authentic with myself and in dealing with others while respecting their choices and quit never to judge because in life everyone makes choices, whether right or wrong as individuals one faces the outcome and I believe learn and become better.
iii. Demonstrating true value
I would boldly say to myself I have demonstrated true values in my life, regardless of any situation, I believe by demonstrating true values it reveals to as humans our true self and helps one to becoming better. Demonstrating true values helps us tackle life challenges better, which will not destroy our self image and self worth.
iv. Develop your own strategy
God and I are responsible for every plans of my life, career and more. I should have to have given up on myself and dreams when I encountered the accident, but no I couldn’t my desire to live my dreams were so bigger than the pains I was going through instead I will say it positively grew me up into becoming better in every aspect of my life. It was never easy when I decided to go back to school, begin afresh my career with wheelchair and clutches, within the early stage after surgeries I was taking antibiotics, steroids and strong pain killers I saw through a lot with my health, the pain was intense, I understood this drugs weren’t helping me with my wounds healing so I personally discontinued these drugs given to here in Nigeria and gradually God showed up for my sake, directing me on supplements in regeneration of my cells with the help of my doctors in America; China. I developed my own strategy in making sure my health was getting the best, succeeding in my goals and taking full responsibility of my life.
v. Accepting responsibility
I am so responsible of the power to instantly eliminate negative thoughts, because as a sanguine by temperament I am very outspoken and practically think less when I talk out of anger and it has affected part of my happiness, when there is a misunderstandings between my husband and I overreact and unknowingly manipulate situations to my own favor, deep down inside of me I knew that was not good so I prayed to God to take such habit because I love God and my happiness, husband and needed to do things right and be more responsible in fostering our relationship for better.
vi. Measure your progress
In my life journey I have graciously measured my progress with the help of God because everything I did encounter I couldn’t do each one by my own strength.
vii. Think and talk positive.
I basically think and talk about my dreams, I barely talk about my problems. Challenges which we see as problems in life I believe it grows us into a better individual. I have come to the realization of when Jesus Christ was here on earth. He encountered challenges but yet he was always positive in every storm along his way, he knew this challenges will pass and I say to myself I am no Jesus but if Jesus could go through his purpose on earth with positive thinking, I would myself with him by my side thinking and talking positive for me .

I have refused to rationalize and make excuses ,but to pick up myself and head on to positively achieving my dreams and goals .
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you.
“You choose, you decide.”
Growing up as a young girl child, I internally knew what I wanted out of life, I had one of the best education, born and raised in a wonderful family. I am not perfect, yet I choose to living a purposeful fulfilling life and create a generation whom will bless and serve God bless intentionally. I started secondary school at the age of 8 years old, boarding school, away from my parents and family with home training and I will say God’s grace. I became so very careful with making my choices, whether good these choices are to me in my own understanding as a little girl back then unknowingly come out bad, I learn from it and decide to becoming better instead of beating myself up. I realized younger enough to always make the right choices, seeking God’s wisdom and directions first because his plans towards me is of good, to give me hope till my expected and I adjust not to dwelling in my own understanding yet being open minded with clarity and truth in my choices for the greater good of me and other individuals around me to having a better world.
“Imagine no limitation.”
I created through my imagination the kind of lifestyle I desired, because I know I am more than enough the world needs me, I was given all the abilities I could ever require to achieving my dreams and goals, actually I was created in God’s image and he did bless me with all I needed to creating and living my best life with no limitation, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
“Refusing to compromise my dreams.”
Reading through this great book I am intentionally practicing more idealization and future orientation. though some of my dreams and goals scares me, I desire more out of life. I got my degree, I own my small business, yet I still have few businesses I want to invest into, going for my masters program and mentally I tell myself Judith you’re one of the most powerful soul sent to the universe to bettering humanity so I choose not to belittle my dreams and goals not matter how it scares me due to my financial situation, yet dream bigger and give God the budget because he created me and invested into me this goals and dreams to manifesting them for his glory and bettering humanity.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main idea that the author is trying to convey is diverse but in building up our human mentality and physical capabilities in indication on principles centered on leadership, parenting, family, human endowment and the more interesting was emphatic communication which replicates in unleashing the greatest power within individuals.
2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you, and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you” Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Things which matters most must never beat the mercy of things which matters least.
Everything in my life is a priority, but first I have to make and take my personal well being in check, my relationship with God so I could function properly in my career, family, business and with other individuals, because I believe it all starts with me; once I am mentally positive with myself I get my priorities straight. One just does not know how much of what you achieve when you are in your space, doing life right by prioritizing your goals and building a life pleasing to God and humanity.
ii. Making what is important to other people as important to you as the other person is to you.
It is joyful to understand someone who is dear to you by understanding their wants, needs and making it part of one’s priority, by showing the person how they mean and not being selfish. It helps brings out the best in oneself, there were times I was actually unknowingly self-centered with my significant other and I could feel my relationship wasn’t growing so well, I got so busy with my school project and I did battle with my project supervisor; due to school authority changing supervisor and my topics were changed. I did not create time for anyone except me. I did the normal communication, checking up on my family in the USA, though he would respond calmly but defensive by his words and actions then I began to feel concerned and I prayed to God to help me figure out why he was behaving in such manner. Sincerely God showed up and made me to understand I was at fault, unknowingly I never knew I was being self centered and God directed me back the right way. I apologized for neglecting him. Gladly I was able to amend my relationship with my husband, finished my project and submitted to the school authority.
iii. The price must be paid (No Shortcut)
I have grown to the understanding that there is always a price to pay in every situation as there is never no short cut to succeeding in life. This price would be a sacrifice of time, sacrifice of funds and one’s self back in the days of university I sometimes have a 101or 100 meal to enable me save more money to afford my course materials, devoting time to study so as to get good grades and result to help me function more better in the economic world while improving our security level for a better Nigeria and African continent.
iv. Seek first to understand to be understood.
I really do needed seeking first to understand and to be understood on myself. I realized in order to understand me. I have to be willing to be patience with self likewise other individuals because my point of view is totally different from others in business, relationship career likewise any aspect of life. Now I have come to first seek to understand and be understood, during my internship as a mediator on a family based program and with UN I got opportunity to partake on conflict resolution between people, relationship, there I realized when two people whether man and wife in a marriage setting are in conflict and they seek out help which we call counseling I encourage to both partners to openly be honest with their problems individually, then after I have spoken to them separately. I later bring both together and ask them sincerely in fixing their problems because I am just a human being like them, we all have flaws and no one is perfect, most times overlooking things doesn’t make one stupid yet for the peace of mind and at the right time know when to address conflicts between each other. We all need each other and God made it known to us that it is impossible but offense will come! We are different individuals, different culture, backgrounds, could be siblings yet when one offends the other be ready to forgive, get busy and forget. Life is beautiful yet filled with ups and downs with love, unity and understanding we all can create a more better world.
v. All things are created twice. The mental creation and the physical creation.
It is true that before one does anything he or she should have a mental picture of what to do and how to achieve it, also having the mental ability to face whatsoever that comes along achieving that goals, dreams in a positive way because I believe once the mental picture is created, when one is focus and determined he or she will always conquer. Having and building up a positive mental attitude in life has really helped me, it is part of my lifestyle and I am passing it on to my children, down to my generation and other individuals I come in contact with here on earth. I believe you never know what God has in stock for you as an individual, when one does right, stay focused on your relationship with your creator (GOD), making efforts to living an amazing life, while treating humanity as we all want to be treated, having a positive mindset against all odds, oh believe me one will always achieve his or her qoals and becoming more happy on earth.
vi. We are free to choose our actions, yet we are not free to choose the consequences of those actions
When I was quite younger, I made a choice to be celibate until marriage, funny how life could be sometimes. I had friends whom will always talk me down on my decision, while giving their opinions. I made my friends to understand my parents gave me basically all I will be needing as a child and I looked up to God because I desired a marriage like heaven on earth, along life journey I couldn’t bear keeping up such girlfriends, I knew I was totally different from them both mentally, morally and in value, not that I am perfect so I lost my best friend, girlfriends and decided to be on my own. That lifestyle was not what I desired. I never wanted things on a fast line. I choose to work for my money, get married and be a role model to my kids and every girl child while making God proud. I thought I lost my best friend later after few years we did reconnect and reconciled and she acknowledged I set an example for her, gracefully God gave me more like mind friends in my business, fellowship and along my journey in life.
vii. Begin with the end in mind
I believe in life, whatever one is planning you should always begin with the end in mind. Life is moving on by the seconds and when one gets to his or her peak of goals, it comes with fulfillment not actually remembering the obstacles or challenges one had to go through to get to their purpose and living it to the glory of God. When one begin with the end in mind that is a positive mental attitude, your eyes as individuals are focused on your goals, dreams and faithfully trusting God completely while being a blessing to self and humanity.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world. If so how?
These lessons are definitely a guard within my personal life, because I believe challenges are part of life, it is my attitude towards that problem that matters. With these whatever challenges I encounter, I confront through them with a positive mental attitude.

Nonviolent Communication
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book.
With my understanding of the author is trying to convey is basically our choices of words that we use in our everyday existing here on earth and which would help bringing a peaceful co-existing while communicating same positive characters to other individuals and building a more better world.
2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. We are responsible for every thoughts of ours, including our feelings and actions.
Our characters as humans reveals who we are and honestly circumstances does not make a man, instead it makes man get to know himself better and do some adjustments wherever needs corrections. I am certainly responsible for my thoughts and actions in the actual sense because I realized it is my choice to do things in the right way no matter the situation I may find myself with a positive mental attitude, choosing to nurturing my thoughts, feelings, actions has really guided me not to get my emotions ahead of me and graciously it is helping deal with my family members.
ii. Controlling Anger.
I have learnt to control anger on myself, I encountered a bad situation which led to my experiences during the different stages of my illness which positively changed me. In January 2008 on my way back from school, I wasn’t happy with my parents with how they treated my request for funds, though my tuition fees rent and food items were taken care of by my parents, I still needed an extra funds to add up for my personal stuff and I grew so angry with my parents when I was told no for the first time and myself I was stupid back then not to understand and consider my parents. I was being selfish and leaving back to school in port Harcourt, broke my sim card so my parents wouldn’t reach me out of anger when coming home after my exams, I had the accident and unknowingly to me. My mother has been trying to read out me but my anger couldn’t allow me listen to her! Long story cut short, it was after all I was passing through with my health, I asked God to help me take away the spirit of anger. I don’t desire getting angry anymore because whenever I am, it affects me medically and gracefully God has taken care of the spirit of anger in me, instead he filled me with his peace and gladness everyday.
iii. Blaming factor.
Some years back I did blame my parents for the accident I encountered which took years of me crying and shutting down my family until God intervened and showed me his grace in every stages of my health challenges he never left, he was always there for me and I grew in grace, forgave my self, my parents, because I realized my parents never caused or wished I experience such in my health, healing began my transformation took place, I became more happier, I starting pursuing my dreams, goals walking in my purpose with the help of God and intentionally I have stop blaming myself or others for anything in life I encounter yet to focus on God, get busy while fulfilling my dreams.
iv. Impersonal Communication
Communicating in an impersonal way does not require me to reveal what is going on inside of me sometimes like I encountered in 2013 when I was in search of a university to restart my degree after coming back from China, where I undergo a needle and ankle therapy to help enable me have sensation on my legs because after the two surgeries here in Nigeria I wasn’t feeling my legs still on the search of a university; I found national open university of Nigeria (NOUN). I applied and needed to physically go fill in some documents and make payment at the school, I was on clutches and still had some open wounds, I had to move around all by myself, I came across an official who was to attend to me, she was not friendly to me regardless of my condition, never did she show a pleasing atmosphere to helping me, I was in pain and needed support in moving around photocopying most of the documents, I eventually did myself. Along the the course materials of my studies, that same lady later came to me requesting whenever I do need some help I should not hesitate to ask her because she knew she treated me wrong and I never said a word nor expressed my feelings to her but she realized she needs to do right for God and humanity. She asked for forgiveness, she became my support in school and helped me throughout till I graduated .
v. Unexpressed feelings
Sometimes I remember when I was still a little girl I would want to express myself, but my fellow room mates would say to me you talk to much, and I felt that was abnormal so I kept things to myself not until the room senior perfect punished me for an offense I didn’t commit due to I kept my thoughts about the improvement of the hostel contribution, later she called and was asking while do I keep silent when its needed I express myself so I told her my fellow room mates always say I talk a lot, that I should learn to keep whatsoever I have to say to myself, but she corrected and guarded me to freely express myself so others can get to understand me and my contribution to anything in life, so I learned and opened myself to fully expressing my feelings in a more positive way gracefully.
vi. Observing without evaluation
I did use to behave in such manner with my team members in my beauty business, this habit led to my team being disorganized into my first year of beginning my business with Oriflame, truth be told I lost basically most of my team members, I couldn’t recruit because I wasn’t able to, due to my silly mindset I was having back then, gradually I was inconsistent in my business in 2016 when I joined Oriflame. Not until December 2017 I met with the executive director Kemisola, she called me to join her along a program after we had our meeting she asked you have been out of business for a year what is happening so I told her I lost interest because my team members were not cooperative. She acknowledged my opinion but yet corrected and guided saying I was wrong with my mind set of observing without evaluation of each of my team members, she made me realize I am a leader and I should have to be accountable in leading right with a positive mental attitude regardless of how the team members behaves, that in the business I am an independent partner not a collective business, she did really talk to me and I learn from her, changed and started my business all over again.
vii. Connecting compassionately with ourselves.
Let us become the change we seek. I was made to understand by God he created me in his own image and intentionally he impacted into me all I will want need to becoming a more better version of myself and serving humanity for his glory while I fulfill my purpose in life. So I am enough and compassionately connecting with me, it has become so natural to be patience and giving room to understand myself while growing in love me. I call it self love you can’t give what you don’t have it all starts with me first having that positive mental attitude while treating others how I should be treated and compassionately connecting to others has been helpful in every aspect of my life.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
Reading through this book, it added more knowledge to my understanding to violence as a peace and conflict resolution professional. Truly violence begets violence, two wrongs don’t make a right, we as individuals have to grow into a more peaceful co-existing among us, we have to be patience with each other, overlooking some situations does not make one senseless or worthless, but yet for peace to reign and necessarily know when to speak.
4. Quotes; Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.
“Express what you want instead of what you don’t.”
I am a very express sanguine, I openly talk about my wants in every aspect of my life. My hubby always say I admire that about you, I don’t bottle up things either do I keep grudges or let a misunderstandings in my heart for 24 hours. Giving myself to God changed me into a free soul and I made him understand it was not by my power yet the spirit of God building me up into becoming a more better person for his glory and I am fostering that into our children.

Unlimited Power
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The book is about our unlimited power as individuals, we all have the ability to change, to adapt, to grow, to evolve and learn from every human experiences and make every experience work for you in same positive way and producing results.
2. What are the ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Basic triggering mechanisms that can ensure my success.
I always had a passion for volunteering and desire helping myself and people I come in contact with in a positive way, from a tender age. I would gather my friends in elementary school and try to find out which among them weren’t really okay because back then as a little girl child, with my parental upbringing I was taught to give in a healthy way practically. So I and my buddy Tasha took our time to investigate other children whom were not coming to school with candy and lunch boxes funny though as a little girl then we told our parents about our task. At home my mother asked me how do you know these children don’t come with candies or lunch boxes, then I said to my mom during break time most of these children doesn’t eat because you see them walking around and I know they want something to eat and it is sad, likewise to her parents so after the end of term our parents held a meeting with the school owner regarding that situation and that was how candies and snacks were made available freely to every child until I left the school to another.
ii. The kind of behavior people produce is the result of the state they are in.
Sometimes ago in secondary school I liked a classmate, whenever we had our class works, done and marked she will score 4 out of 20marks,I knew she was intelligent and smart but I never understood why she’s getting such grades, she was neat and always on time in school before assembly prayers begin, she was a day student and I was a boarder. Later on I walked up to her and asked whether she could spare me her time during break I want to talk to her. She refused at first because some day student feels it was abnormal to be relating with boarders, she didn’t make it to the cafeteria on that day and I kept to myself, though I was concerned about her grades, I wasn’t perfect she seems like a good girl so in the coming week on a Wednesday precisely she came to me. Then I told her I am concerned about your grades and whether day or boarding student we are the same, then she opened up saying she doesn’t know why she’s having such grades, I suggested to her to inform her parents and she would want a private lesson teacher to support her to be more effective in her studies, I was only concerned about her grades so she doesn’t not repeat that class. Eventually she told her parents, she was given a lesson teacher which helped improved her in her academic and she made it with majority of j s.s 2 to j.s.s 3 except 4 student and that made both of us happy and we became friends. So my behavior of excellent result produced a better result for my friend.
iii. Knowledge is power until it comes into the hands of someone who knows how to get himself/herself to take effective actions
My first beauty business into the skincare, beauty industry with Oriflame. I use to believe I alone needed to build and grow my business not until I encountered lots of ups and downs with my finances. First I didn’t have the right mindset on my path and I was new into entrepreneurship. I believed with my capital I would grow and expand on my own, I never knew about teamwork, I didn’t take my team members serious because I believed whether you put in the effort or not I was going to personally complete my team’s business points for the month, kept ordering more products to make sure my team wasn’t lacking behind and this habit took me down to having no more funds in 8months I started my business in 2016 and I was out of business. After few months that year I met with my upliner, she was concerned why I was out of business until I opened my situation to her. She scolded and corrected me because I barely attend physical meetings then she coached me back into the business. I unknowingly used my knowledge on myself wrongly, I was taking actions, but not taking actions with my team members. I realized teamwork makes the dream work faster. I had to learn to work with each of my team members effectively, we shared ideas and knowledge and gracefully I created my own beauty line and how to build and grow my other businesses.
iv. Shape your perception or someone shapes them for you.
During my first degree at the University of port Harcourt though I couldn’t complete that degree due to the accident, back then I had lots of girlfriends, we go to the clubhouse every friday after we must have been done with our study periods, it was fun for me and my girls because I only enjoy dancing while affording to pay for my drink and after party I take a cab back home and sleep was having fun with my friends not until some group of male students addressed us as R.U.N.S girls(it means girls who go clubbing sleeps with men and get paid) I didn’t care about all that was said because I just go to dance, get some drink not until one of them confronted me at the clubhouse for a night stand. I was embarrassed, was heading to the ladies room to pee and put on my phone to record our conversation as a proof. when I came out he was outside waiting for me so respectfully I told him, “nigga I don’t do this stuff you call one night stand. I am responsible please then I turned back to get back into the clubhouse to join my girls. Then he aggressively dragged my hand back saying to me is it because he’s not driving a jeep and got the kind of money we runs get paid on every Fridays we come to the clubhouse. I told him I have made myself clear earlier and need to go join my girls, walking back he dragged me the second time and I realized he was tipsy and I pushed him down still he repeated something to me that got my attention (yes we notice shits you and your girlfriends dorun the streets of Chioba, sleeping and making money off me and why can’t I just go down with him.” Two of my friends came out looking for me and met the situation, then they asked me why did you have to push him down I said really and explained to my girls what he said and how he was aggressive to me. They told me he’s one of the cult boys in school I should have listened to him and make time to go visit him, right there I asked my girls go visit him for what and so that means you girls truly come to the clubhouse to sleep and make money on these boys. They kept silent; I was annoyed and told me yes they do but not all the time. When I got home that night I made up my mind to disconnect myself from my girls. I really liked them but never knew that was what they were doing at clubhouse, I was never judgmental about them yet I was totally different and that situation ended me going to the clubhouse so I choose to shape myself ( a good name was better than my relationship with my girls. It was sad to stop being friends with my girls yet I understood my perception and upbringing what different so truly we should shape, be conscious of our perceptions, value, morals, before someone shapes it in a negative way.
v. Everything happens for a reason and purpose and it serves us
When I experienced the accident which transformed my life on 01/15/2008 I was totally devastated. I was always thinking about my physical beauty, my face left hand, spinal cord and both legs were affected I thought to myself I could never walk or go out in shorts or even go swimming with my family. There were a lot of negative thoughts running through my mind plus fear of the unknown and I was a younger lady with my dreams. It got to me mentally during the early stage I was always depressed, unhappy about my body how childish I was back then, I cried a lot because I felt my dreams would not be achievable anymore, then one day that same year in December everything started to change. I started to pray to God, I gave him my life and sincerely asked him to help fix me spiritually. He alone completely created me for his glory and my purpose which I was about fulfilling and God did listened and everything began to change in my health for good and it’s serving and served me right even though challenges were encountered I had the peace of God in me; my healing began and I blossomed gracefully.
vi. The great end of life is not knowledge but actions.
I remember during the months I was at the traditional bone clinic I noticed the doctor was not doing something right with regards to treating my wounds on both legs because I had a fracture; a swollen spine; face shifted back broken left hand. I will testify to him fixing my spinal cord face and left hand but he wasn’t getting it right with my legs because in six weeks I should have been healed on my legs but it was the opposite and I kept telling my parents to tell him. Crazy how it got my own parents weren’t listening to me; they felt I was talking out of shock and anger. Then a day came my mother had to attend school because during that period she was undergoing her diploma. It was only I, my doctor, my kid sister and wife so I told him, doctor you have been trying this new position using the sticks to hold my bones and later on I get more blisters which becomes more wounds on my legs don’t you think you’re doing something wrong. I lose blood and in pain talking to him but he didn’t listen he believed I was a child teaching him is job. After dressings my legs that day in four days was to be another dressing so as he was removing the bandages my flesh on my legs began to fall, I was bleeding more and I wasn’t myself for 2years 6months in the process my bones, veins, ligament, muscle, tissues and tendons, ankles got infection then the doctor asked my parents to take me home so he comes treating me at home, finally my parents took me home and started to look for hospital to treat my case, eventually we got a private hospital in Lagos, the first thing the doctor requested that he should run diagnosis and I asked can’t we do an x-ray or a scan, he said my legs were not fit to undergo an x-ray now till he treats the infection and when my diagnosis was out I was infected with chronic osteomyelitis and mid shaft fracture of tibia and fibula of both legs and a swollen spine cord that was the genesis of my health problems yet with the help of God, science and empathy from the doctors now listening to me after series of surgeries I began walking a bit, intending for the last two surgeries in Israel. At the private hospital the main doctor flew in four different orthopedic surgeons; two Nigerians two were Korean with their knowledge and actions taken rightfully they got to tackle the situation of my health because the family hospital rejected me, likewise the orthopedic hospital in Lagos advising my parents to sign up for amputation but God stepped in and I am walking and fulfilling my dreams and goals gracefully.
vii. To change our behavior, one has to begin with their belief.
During the early stages of the accident, I was scared and hopeless. I couldn’t believe I will be better I was so sober and depressed until God began his surgery on me. First, he gave me hope to believe and dream more so he changed my behavior towards self, he became and is my belief system who has been helping throughout this my health journey and I am forever grateful to God almighty.

To the best of my knowledge, what the author is conveying in the book are one should learn the strategies and skills that will help each of us bring out our hidden willpower to succeeding in every aspect of life, by making emphasis on making one’s life a masterpiece and with that being achieved, one becomes more happier, healthier and more self confident.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Make your life a masterpiece.
Few year ago 2008 precisely, I was so sober and bitter with myself because of the accident which drastically affected my body system, I fell into depression as a young lady at 22 with my dreams and goals. I was never happy, I easily get provoked for nothing, I cried a lot, blamed my parents and unknowingly hurt the people that i love and they loved me. Just as the author said this is the age of achievement back then I was so young and very active on my goals, achieved my first business at age 17,as a distributor in of recharge cards, DS TV subscription floral decorator in event planning. I was making and building my life into becoming a success not until the accident. I will say I have experienced more opportunities lately and I turned my dreams into my reality than when I was younger, with God’s grace, I overcame those negative characters and began making my life a masterpiece regardless of whatever challenges of life throws at me, I remain positive for the best.
ii. The seven ingredients to success.
Along the different stages of my health, I began to experience peace of mind a year plus later because I realized been negative wouldn’t help me heal and though was still scared and worry some because I was seeing all my broken bones, veins, tissues, muscle. It was a painful experience for me, I was not believing in the drugs given to me then at the hospital, they were strong antibiotics with milligrams 1000,I had no choice but to consume so the infections would be targeted to enable me undergo stage 1 surgery, because my blood percentage was 20% and bone density was 2% I saw no hope but i completely gave it all to God, he gave me peace of mind along each stages and he’s perfecting all of me gracefully.
iii. My health and energy matters.
I knew part of becoming a success in life my health matters a lot, just as peace of mind it all starts with me first and nobody. I started to easily want more for my health and energy in abundance, I became more mentally alert with my foods, making sure I am eating the right food, which should supply calories, vitamins, iron, minerals, zinc and magnesium into my body system knowing who I am a daughter of the most high God, created in his own image and God gave me dominion over all creation including the rights to take care of my body which is his temple so I now gracefully strive consistently in taking care of my health and energy.
iv. My relationships.
I grew up with the understanding of knowing my happiness and unhappiness in life comes from my relationships with me and others, it’s my relationship with others that makes one truly human. No man is an island, we need each other to fulfilling this Journey of life in a healthy positive way, treating each other with mutual love, respect, empathy and seeing each other situations through one’s own eyes. Although there are some people with negative characters and I always make an effort on my part in my business relationships especially to understanding that we may be genetically the same, but the human world has been shaped in many different ways by our history, geography, politics and so on. Yet I value my relationships with others, because to becoming a more successful woman, wife, mother I desire building relationships for making generational wealth .
v. My financial freedom.
Realizing to be financially free means that I have enough money so that I don’t worry about it continually as we do. Honestly it’s not money that lies at the root of all evil, it’s lack of money and I desire more to achieving my own financial freedom and taking responsibilities of my goals, dreams and life. I understand that money is important so I consistently make more efforts to improving my finances, managing my budget, living within what I should afford and take my mind off things that are not valuable to my purpose into my financial freedom and expanding my empire.
vi. My goals and dreams are worthy.
I know and understand for me to be truly happy regardless of my health challenges, I needed a more clear sense of direction, I needed to become more committed on something bigger and more important than myself, I knew my life stands for something and I am somehow making a valuable contribution to my world. I became more happy in my progressive realization of my worthy dreams and goals because everyday I am working step by step towards fulfillment of each goals and dreams gracefully with God by my side.
vii. Self- knowledge and self-awareness.
For me to always perform at my best in life, I need to know who I am and why I think and feel the way I do, I need to understand the forces and influences that have shaped my character from earliest childhood. Intentionally I began to know why I react and respond the way I do to the people and situations around me, gracefully it was only when I understand and accepted myself of not being perfect, I began moving forward in other aspect of my life.

Leadership for Dummmies
Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book is how to be and becoming an effective leader in every aspect of life, because in every stages of life journey which are two or more people, different cultures, perspectives, values and belief system coming together in pursuit of a common goal in desiring to build and have a more better world.
2. What are the ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. A leader is to be a good listener.
A leader has to be a good listener, actually if he/she doesn’t make listening a critical skill then the individual cannot lead leadership is purely common sense and listening to understand, and be understood not just listening sake provides a room for open mindedness to fully understand what a problem is, how the problem could and should be analyze, resolved and advance warning of the same or more problems from recurring again. A year ago I had a misunderstanding with my best friend and because I didn’t hear from her, I did contact her via cell, WhatsApp, Facebook with no reply I actually sent her some packages to deliver to my mother and I have told mama she was bringing a package for her on my behalf, I was so angry at her not until 5 months later she called me, I didn’t give her the room to explain I was so annoyed with her character and we were best friend, when I came home for Christmas she visited and explained how she was sick and admitted at the hospital for two months along she came with the packages I asked her to give my mama, then I knew I was so hard on her and forgave her. I now have learned to give a listening ear to every situation I come across.
ii. Leading yourself.
For me this is a process of leading inside out, actually knowing and understanding yourself to becoming a better leader because it starts with you first and it means that you have to be open and plain with yourself first which is called the visible or body leadership by planning, acting, reflecting and theorizing you first and leading other in a positive way.
iii. Leading others
To be I believe and practice being a leader begins developing a sense of purpose with clarity balancing being effective and efficient as well as vision oriented. For real it’s not easy leading others, one takes a lot of patience, being open minded and properly understanding different other individuals who are not you.
iv. Leading people through change.
When leading people through change, as a leader you ought to lead to peak performance in engaging and providing directions or guide which encourage autonomy as well as being specific, relevant and time target based in on a given task. Recently in my business each team leader was given a task to accumulate 10k bps(business points) within that period I was down, so I called you my team members back home and we spoke, I had to be sure I and my team are definitely making sure we achieve the task given, sales in flow was slowly not coming up. I got really concerned I was always on laptop, reaching out to my customers in Nigeria because there i have customers more who patronize the products, this task was given in August and on the 29th of the month, my team sales records was only 9500bps we needed to sum it up to 10k, as a team head I personally made some orders of perfumes, directed one of my team members to help me package each one and go deliver to list of names, phone number and their office address. Before then, I had called each of them and told them I was sending a newly brands of company perfumes to them and I was certain they will like them and it was nice they be part of the people to use it before it gets out of stock and boom, that was how I completed my team task of 10k business points with the support of everyone within the team, they believed in my leadership, trusted the vision and together we achieved it,it wasn’t easy but yet God’s wisdom and favor guided me through.
v. As a leader, you should be dependable.
Being dependable and not whimsical in the actual sense that one doesn’t withdraw support from people in whom they support in my experience last year I was having a business presentation and I was more or less just like every other business partners in the company, we talked about how to grow and expand our sales input and required in some more products availability in Nigeria, so I reached out to my upliner she’s the executive director and shared my own contribution I told her it’s should not be only about more sales improvement and products availability yet making more incentives , growing and building more brand partners while creating employment for more people believe me there are no jobs in Nigeria and one could join and start small building his or her business, get trainings and help support themselves while becoming financially stable to cater for basic needs, and would tackle life challenges. I was speaking from my heart, and she acknowledged my contribution and she spoke to the MD and now this year the company has done free registration like 4 times, November made it the last for the year and we building and expanding to improve employment for individuals.
vi. Being a leader don’t mean that you will always be in the lead, because leadership is not forever.
I believe and understand leadership takes place of an intersection of a want, need goal and a person willing to take on responsibility. This idea is like a reminder for me, because the consciousness that the period of leadership is limited makes a leader to desire every opportunity he or she has to see that their goals are accomplished.
vii. Look for leaders to emulate in your everyday life.
There are many examples of leaders right before our eyes that we sometimes take for granted. Examples the author suggest looking for leaders in the newspaper, one can also find leaders to emulate everywhere. I believe one should seek out actions which are characteristics of a good leader and they repeat to learn from them.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
I have learned not to promise what I can’t deliver because no matter how confident I am in achieving my vision, whether my followers do not deem the vision as unrealistic my efforts would be frustrated.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you?
No. To the best of my knowledge.
5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or there ideas which you disagree with and if so why?
No, All of the statements in the book are explicit especially the illustration and diagrams to picture and capture the ideas.

i. How faith comes.
But without faith it is impossible to please him(God) for he that cometh to God must believe that he’s and that he’s a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Honestly God demands that we have faith, it’s a natural part of existing but when it’s impossible for some to have faith, then we have a right to challenge his justice. How faith comes for me is by hearing the word of God, studying the Bible, because faith comes by hearing God’s words, mediating on his promises towards my life and acknowledging I was created in his likeness, I am a god here on earth. My faith in God’s words keeps me persevering throughout my journey in this life because God’s words and promises for me has really been my unlimited grace to keeping striving hard to achieving my dreams and goals not minding my health challenge, yet consistently having faith in him(God) to keep manifesting his blessings upon me.
ii. Faith for salvation
For me I do understand that faith for salvation cometh by hearing, and by hearing the word of God, because we are saved by faith for by grace are we saved, through faith, and that not of ourselves. It is the gift of God.
iii. Faith for healing.
Here was how faith for healing comes for me. I had and grew my faith in God and his God’s words for me because I hear the word daily ,I believed in his words, believing to be healed and I believe in God’s healing power on every level of my health and I began practicing a more healthy lifestyle and boom all supplements which are plant based began transforming my health gradually, I began walking even in pain sometimes, though I am not at my best with my health now yet because I trusted in God and his words for me, I am forever grateful because he (God) finishes what he started in my health and life. I am a testimony.
iv. Now faith is.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is giving substance to things hoped for and for me faith is grasping the unrealities of hope and bringing them into the realm of my reality for good. Here’s a life experience for me when the doctors in Nigeria diagnosed and gave their evaluation and comment about no improvement for my legs, meaning I wouldn’t walk again except I prepare my mind for amputation I prayed to God about it, he knew about everything I was experiencing, I trusted in God completely for my total healing. I consistently hoped in God because he alone is omniscience (God of all science) and greatest doctor the world has ever known, because when God promises a thing, he definitely brings each of them to pass for his glory and we all know God never lies.
v. The heart of man.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, again in Mark 11:23 for verily I say unto you, that whosever shall say unto this mountain; be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he said. Both of the preceding verses speak of believing with the heart. Yet one should understand that the word heart as used in these scriptures does not refer to the physical organ which pumps blood through the body and keeps us alive. The word heart is used here to convey a thought, and when God speaks of the human heart, God is speaking about the main part of man which is the very center of man’s being the spirit, because man is a spirit; the spirit and heart of man are interchangeably throughout the bible. We know that man is a spirit because he is made in the image and likeness of God and Jesus said God is a spirit.
vi. What it means to believe with the heart.
The hidden man of the heart is the spirit which is the real man, the inward man is spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body. With our spirit, we contact the spiritual realm. I understand one cannot contact God with our mind, either our body but with our spirit, God contacts us. Through my spirit when I hear the word of God preached, I hear it with my physical ears, it then goes through my natural mind, but if it is to affect me. I must receive it in my spirit. The word of God really affected me on the inside, in my spirit before I was born again, the holy spirit through the word spoke to my heart.
vii. How to train the human spirit.
The spirit of man is the candle of the lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
I believe our spirit can be educated just as our minds can be, and our spirit can be built in strength just as our bodies can be.
The human spirit can be trained and developed by
Mediating in the word: We must realize, understand and appreciate the value of God’s words and the value of quiet mediation in the word.
Practicing the word: Practicing the word means being a doer of the word as we are told in the book of James. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only. I often tell myself and close family members begin to practice being a doer of the word by doing in all circumstances what the word tells you to do, we are to do primarily what is written in the epistles, they are letters to us, the church.
Giving the word first place: I believe the training, development and education of our spirit comes by giving the word of God first place in our lives. God says attend to my words, give heed to them first, incline thine ear unto my saying (listen to what I have to say) let them not depart from thine eyes (keep looking at the word of God) keep them (my words) in your heart. There are rich dividends for doing this; why is it that God tells us to put his word first, to listen to what he has to say; to keep looking at his words, and to keep his words in our heart? It is because they (his words) are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. I notice that there is healing in the word.
By instantly obeying the voice of your spirit: Our human spirit has a voice, we call that voice conscience, sometimes we call it intuition. What it is, is your spirit speaking to you, every man’s spirit whether he’s saved or unsaved has a voice. As one give these spirit the privilege of mediating in the word of God, this becomes the source of its information, because your spirit becomes strong, the inward voice of your conscience educated in the spirit will become a true guide, for the spirit of man is the candle of the lord.

How to Win Friends and Influence
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
What the author is trying to convey in the book is to neutralize negative elements in relationships, human behavior is unpredictable and highly defined, even though we are well aware that communication gaps causes misunderstandings, and that how we communicate and interpret messages. Effective communication is key to relationships
2. What were the seven ideals which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideals followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life?
i. The ability to falter when criticized and thrive when encouraged.
In general this means individuals who have the ability will definitely perform effectively and efficiently but due to criticisms it will definitely affect they psychologically, yet while there are people with or without the ability get encouraged. And I am one of such individual, in the midst of every life challenges especially with my health I have choose internally with God to never let any criticism or negative vibes get to me, not that I perfect yet I know and completely believes and trust in God’s plan and timing for everything that concerns my life because he’s my Creator whose plans for me are for a greater good to give me hope till my expected end and till Jesus tarries.
ii. Put yourself in a different position
This is part of my lifestyle, naturally we all look but see differently depending on the position one is standing. Practically knowing that no man on earth is problem free but some problems are heavier, although I got my problem that doesn’t stop me from rendering a helping solution to another individual.
iii. Don’t judge, criticize or complain
I never do this, and reading through this book has made me realize that there are more people like me here on earth with such mindset. I have also learned as a peace and conflict resolution graduate criticizing other people’s views and ideas or trying to make them see that my idea is best isn’t healthy. Reading deeper I understood the author doesn’t really mean don’t judge, criticize or complain, yet one should do it in a way that’s positive and will help encourage the other to improve and desire to be better at his/her shortcomings.
iv. Embrace what is sacred , you may not have it
Embracing a virtue is like anticipatory socialization for me, a desiring way of life and this has consistently helped to guide my actions and behaviors.
v. I talk about other people’s interest
Honestly I desire talking about myself in detail because what another knows about me is part of what gives importance to me, but yet I still want the other person to share something about her/him which brings a balance. To be realistic some even don’t have anything positive to say yet listen in return and I understand you are important to the other, if at all no one in the world wants to hear you,you are always in their mind, body, soul and will miss you when you are not around.
vi. If you make a mistake, admit it quickly.
I used to have this problem within my family, but as time goes by I have grown to understand human are the most different people existing and I always tell people, I am never perfect so are you yet admitting whenever you make a mistake and quickly apologize is a sign of humility and Christ like lifestyle and practically it saves a lot of energy for everyone.
vii. I encourage people to smile in every life challenges.
For me smiling costs me nothing and basically gives me everything, because it eases my body, it’s part of my aging backward secret. I could be going through a challenge which is part of growing yet no one could tell because I am gracefully a happy smiling person and this way it has affected other people’s lives around me without even having any verbal conversation with them.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how.
Reading through on different content in the book, all pointing out the same thing in all aspects of human relations but in different dimensions. These ideas will help me to consistently in building my interpersonal skills theoretically and practically. Most of the ideas in the book made me understand more that I have to handle people individually, differently, and I understood that body gestures, verbal communication matters in dealing with others.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.
“By fighting you never get enough but by yielding you get more than expected.”
In the aspect of relationship and marriage men are generally the head of the home, even as God Almighty made it so and the men have to sincerely love God enough to truly love themselves and spouse, likewise the women with charity, patience, understanding plus with the fruit of the spirit ,but lately in the world of marriage it hasn’t been what God desired marriage to be and when most men and women ( I am not genderlizing here) are truly willing to love and honor God first and doing everything right to pleasing God, only then husbands and wives would respect, love, wanting to see each other grow into what God destined for each and be honest with their significant other then we would have better marriage and less divorcement. Actually as an individual you have to treat others the way you would want to be treated. Why that quote got me in my work experience as a mediator in family sector I realize as women when you talking to your partner consistently about important issues that has to do within the family and he’s not listening, often times men see, or understand talking or showing concern is nagging or fighting, so I encourage women to take a step back talk to God about it, let the holy spirit comfort you and let it pass. That way even God has heard you, don’t be negative and you have done your best to wanting better, then you allow God have his way by yielding to him (The Almighty God).
5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and if so, why?
This seems to be the wrong question for a book like this! When I read and learnt never to judge, criticize or condemn though whenever I disagree with any idea I would do it best in a way I learnt in my degree program as a peace and conflict resolution graduate and in this book positively and respectfully .
6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?
To the best of my knowledge no exercises were included in the book.
7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

How Successful People Think: Change your Thinking, Change your Life
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
In general, what the author is trying to convey in the book is practically how one would become successful in how we change our thinking and by changing our thinking we transform our lives for better. It’s hard to overstate the value of changing your thinking for good, because good thinking can do a lot for an individual. One becomes better by seeing the world through your eyes, being empathetic in dealing with others, patience in handling situations, giving a listening ear, solving problems and more. It also can take one to a whole new level personally and professionally.
2. What were the seven ideals which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideals followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal example from your own life.
i. Change your thinking is not automatic
When you take the time to learn how to change your thinking and intentionally become a better thinker, for me I am investing gold mines into myself, I never run out of how secured I handle, direct and manage what life throws at me, which is normal and in return I keep becoming more better everyday and mastering the challenges in life with a positive mental attitude.
ii. Cultivate big- picture thinking
Where success is concerned people are not measured in inches, or pounds, or college degrees, or family backgrounds. They are measured by the size of their thinking. Growing up as a girl child to a grown woman I am becoming I have always cultivated big- picture thinking, I know what I wanted in my life, I desired living a life that is good not just for me or in the sight of humans, yet in living my life to pleasing God, becoming a more better person everyday, get busy with my career, family and bettering humanity. I believe God created us in his image and likeness, sent us here on earth for greatness. So cultivating a big- picture thinking should be part of our lifestyle and big-picture thinking makes room for continually learning, as an individual you listen intentionally, look and understand situations with a clear mindset which allowing one to lead properly.
iii. How to acquire the wisdom of big- picture thinking.
For me big thinking has helped me in promoting team work in my businesses, it has made me to see what others don’t see, because in human relations one of the most important skill is the ability to see things from the other person’s point of view. Its one of my success keys to working with clients, satisfying customers, maintaining a marriage, rearing children, helping those who are less fortunate etc. Part of one of the wisdom of big-picture thinking in my life is I have the ability to put myself in another person’s shoes by looking beyond myself, because I work to consider an issue from every possible angle, examine it in the light of another history, discover the interests and concerns of others, try to set aside my own agenda and bring a solution.
iv. Engage in focused thinking
I have mastered focused thinking because it gives me clarity and energy towards achieving my desired goals ,I believe the greater the difficulty of a problem or issue, the more focused thinking brings clarity to my understanding of things generally while knowing the next level in my life. Honestly no one achieves greatness by becoming a generalist ,one don’t hone a skill by diluting your attention to it’s development, the only way to get to the next level in life is to stay consistent and focus .
v. Harness creative thinking
I am a creative thinker naturally and most times my family get surprised how I easily just do my magic. For me the joy is not just creating but maintaining my creativity because no matter what I am doing for a living ,the most valuable resources and happiness I bring into my work, businesses, family is my creativity that no other can create except me.
vi. Employ realistic thinking
I have always been a realistic person and removing all sentiments, I guess that’s why I don’t have friends except my family and business partners. I believe in God, I trust in him completely and I know his thoughts for me are good so I put in the efforts into everything I am doing, how I handle and treat matters ,my lifestyle, Societal relationships, communication, conflict resolution matters in family, marriage, career and being responsible as an individual. I detest a non-chanat character, I believe as humans we know what is good and bad , healthy and unhealthy so when you as an individual is not being realistic with yourself by thinking properly and choosing to do what is right, then that individual has some personal problems that only that individual can solve. I encourage people who are close to me to think realistically, it is the foundation of our lives, business and marriage and we derive certainty and security from it, cultivating the ability to be realistic in your thinking will not undermine your faith in God, people, not will it lessen your ability to see and seize opportunities, instead it will add value to you in other ways.
vii. Practice unselfish thinking
I believe unselfish thinking has the potential to making one more successful and it can often return greater than any other kind of thinking in an individual’s life and my own life because I am benefiting my unselfish thinking already, it brings me more personal fulfillment, I add value to others. It helps encourage other virtues in me, it increases quality of life, it makes me part of something greater than myself and it’s helping me create and build a legacy.

Secret of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The main idea I really understand is the author emphasizes the importance of one’s mindset and beliefs about money, aiming to shift readers towards a more prosperous outlook.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why ? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal example from your own life.
i. Your money blueprint
I really understand and practice this idea for me it has been a way in relations to money, it’s not enough to be in the right place at the right time yet you have to be the right person in the right place and at the right time. Actually the reality is your character, your thinking and your beliefs are a critical part of what determines the level of one’s success and I believe one of the keys to my growing success has been to raise my own energy, so people will naturally be attracted to me, what I sell and when I show up I bill them and this has helped me in my skin care business.
ii. Why is your money blueprint important.
The reality is that most people simply do not have the internal capacity to create or hold unto large amount of money and the increased challenges that goes with more money and success.
Why my money blueprint is so important because I am intentionally conscious, I don’t work and think on a superficial level of life, which only based on what I can see nor live in the visible world, precisely I believe, understand if you want a change , one must first have to change the roots, likewise if you want the visible, one must change the invisible, because money is a result, wealth is a result, health is a result, your weight and I acknowledge the truth of we live in a world of cause and effect. Your thoughts leads to results, because one’s subconscious conditioning determines one’s thinking, your thinking determines your decisions and your decisions determines your actions, which eventually determines one’s outcome in every aspect of life.
iii. Element of change which are essential in reprogramming one’s financial blueprints.
For me here are my practical experiences
Awareness; I have come to understand I cannot change something unless I know it exists. I use myself as an example I never knew I am hot tempered, seriously I am a jovial person and don’t take things to heart except meaningful values not until a newly found friend Tina told me sis non so ,I really like you, and I look up to you in ways I don’t know, you are intelligent, smart, innovative and highly educated and exposed, beautiful in and out and I love children but she wants me to know I am quick to anger ,I am respectfully yet will walk away from anything that will trigger that, especially with my husband. I felt what she what she said, I got home and taught through and I realize she was right in a way and I took time to pray and ask God to help me on that aspect because lately I get furious with my spouse and didn’t know why. It affected my relationship with our son, mentally I was so focused on me, undergoing surgery and unknown to me I neglected both of them, now I became aware of what I never knew was happening, and I took a step in prayer with my pastor and it ended in praises. I asked God for mercy, his forgiveness and grace to not neglect my family inspite of any situation, that was a prayer, promise I made to God and he keeps gracing me that blessings.
Understanding; immediately I understood what the problem was, I took a step intentionally for a change. I became the change I needed. Honestly change is not easy, yet with God I am getting more better in communicating effectively
Disassociation; once I acknowledged the way of thinking with my best friend, because we are two different individuals, with different cultures, backgrounds and way of life being fully together, with the help of the holy spirit I overlooked his flaws and appreciated his strength and prayed to God to elevate his weakness because no one is perfect except the most high the creator of heaven and earth plus the inhabitants.
Reconditioning; I am an Intentional person, so naturally I reconditioned myself, and if my girlfriend Tina did not talk to me about that part of me that wasn’t nice; I wouldn’t know or understand the damage I was creating.
iv. Your field of focus determines what you find in life.
I was so focused on my health, getting fully better and which was good for me,but there was not a balance; I should have created balance in between because this is my family and they all were here for me. It also affected my business relationships ,I couldn’t move upward, I was just stocked and I will advice truly one’s field of focus should be on the good aspects of life, regardless of life challenges we may be experiencing which is actually part of life to grow us stronger and better us on a daily.
v. Success is a long term
Precisely in my beauty and skincare business back in Nigeria, it hasn’t been soft; year 2023 just few orders, mistakes and challenges. Reading through this book I fully understand that success is a long term journey, there is no quick fix, I will make mistakes; I will experience challenges but for me to succeed, I must be disciplined, resilience and make sacrifices.
vi. I admire other successful rich people with the intention of becoming one soonest with God’s grace because I have realized money is power and I ought to be reasonably ambitious to having it; I ought to, because I can do more good with it than I can without it. It’s my godly duties to honestly attain unto riches and better myself, extend to others and creating a better world.
vii. The secret to success is not to try to avoid or get rid of, or shrink from our problems. The secret is to grow oneself so that I become bigger than any problem, because the size of the problem was never the issue, what matters is the size of me. Honestly this may be painful, but I fully have an understanding of it. When one really intentionally begin moving to the next level of success in every aspect of life, you are going to becoming conscious of what is really going on with your life in all aspects of it

What the author is conveying is practically simple and understandable for every individual on earth whom desires to being or becoming successful in every aspect of our lives , and despite how life challenges would get, still inspite of it, we should keep encouraging ourselves, fulfilling each of our purposes and being successful in every aspect of our life’s journey here on earth and appreciate to bettering humanity.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why?
List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal example from your own life.
i. The master mind
I truly believe that whatsoever good you put in your mind to do one would achieve it only if that individual believes it would be achieved. For me I have read and seen that the most successful men and women here on earth, hopefully which I am one of them have had to correct certain weak spots in our individual personalities before we began to succeed, nobody is perfect. Only God is perfect, yet I strive and thrive to desiring to keep growing in every aspect of my life because I know what I want, knowing your definite purpose would help guide one into becoming what God created us to be here on earth and at the appointed time he would call us home (heaven) once our assignments God deposited in each of us is completely for his glory.
ii. A definite chief aim
For me and how I understand life generally, the best bush, after all is not that which has the fewest thorns, but that which bears the finest roses . Few years ago I had a dream of becoming a more better girl to my community and a woman who’s grateful to all I am achieving with God on my side and gracefully growing better every day. From the age of five I knew what I wanted , at the age of 9 my parents sent I and my elder siblings to boarding school though we are six children in the family. Growing up in school as an independent girl child helped me in ways I can explain up till now yet along the way I missed my steps and got back on track. I was really missing my parents, I thought I was going to e seeing my parents everyday to talk to me, but it was not that way yet thanks to my upbringing, God, myself and guidance I kept improving because I knew my definite chief aim and becoming the woman other women admires, listen whenever I share my story during empowerment programs.
iii. Self-confident
In spite of all the mysteries by which we are surrounded, nothing is more certain than that we are in the presence of an infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed. I believe in every soul there has been deposited the seed of a great future, but that seed will never germinate, much less grow to maturing, except through the rendering of one’s useful service of believing, doing things right even when one makes a mistake as an individual, you adjust, correct yourself and in a positive mental attitude gracefully continuously becoming a more better person while adding value to the world. Having and being self confidence will help one to believe in his / her abilities and in God that no matter how life challenges may get which is part of life, he / she is never giving up because God never gave up on us.

I believe that a pleasing personality opens doors to opportunities, helping in building strong relationships and contributes to overall success in both my personal and professional life, which is true. And also on reading this book I appreciate more developing qualities such as tact, diplomacy and a genuine desire to understand others.

For me this emphasizes the importance of exceeding expectations and putting in extra efforts beyond what is required in any aspect of my life, this are my keys points about this principles which I practice.
Exceeding expectations which makes going and doing the extra mile which is expected or required in a given task. For me it’s about delivering exceptional value and service, often surpassing the minimum standard.
I am high initiative and proactive because I seek ways to contribute more, I don’t wait for instructions but actively look for opportunities to add value.
I’m intentionally going above and beyond in helping build a positive reputation
I am different because in a competitive environment, I consistently go the extra mile to stand out despite life challenges
For me this principles is a long term success, it has become part of my mindset to seeing the commitment to excellence in which would lead to my career advancement, business success and personal fulfillment.
In my businesses and service – oriented roles exceeding my customer’s expectation is key because I make sure in providing products or services which boost customer loyalty and positive word of mouth, contributing to my business success and my personal development it helps me keep growing and improving myself which helps me to achieving a more fulfilling and successful life.
vi. Applied faith
In the principle of applied faith for me, it is about integrating one’s beliefs and convictions into one’s daily actions. It is not merely about having faith but applying that faith consistently and purposely in your thoughts, words, and deeds to navigate challenges and work towards my goals with confidence and determination.
vii. The importance of learning from adversity.
For me this is about recognizing the value of challenges in my personal and professional development. It encourages me to approach setbacks as opportunities for growth, enabling me to build resilience, developing problem solving skills, ultimately use adversity as a stepping stone towards my greater success.

Crucial Conversations
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
The author is actually conveying that crucial conversations transform people and relationships. They are anything but transacted; they create an entirely new level of bonding. This idea produce what Buddhism calls the middle way, not a compromise between two opposites on a straight-line continuer, but a higher middle way like the apex of a triangle; because two or more people have created something new from genuine dialogue, bonding takes place just like the bonding that takes place in family or marriage when a new child is created.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life?
i. What is a crucial conversations? And who cares.
Crucial conversations for me are my interactions that happens, they are my day to day conversations that affects my life. I know and believe what makes one of my conversation crucial is when others thinks I am not ready or not serious about starting a conversation which is important to discuss.
ii. Mastering crucial conversations; the power of dialogue.
I have come to know, understand the power of dialogue, because it helps in my daily life activities and basically I seem to find myself with few individuals whom we don’t share similar values and I understand that is okay, so instead of me getting annoyed, I understand better that we all have the rights to understand, perceive things differently and the best way is to be open minded to talking, listening whenever there are needs for crucial conversations.
iii. Start with the heart by staying focused on what I really want.
For a truth, given the average person’s track record, it can’t be all that easy, given most people long standing habits of costly behaviors; it will probably require a lot of efforts . Starting with your heart is the first step to achieving anything positive because if you can’t get yourself right, you will have a hard time getting dialogue right. When conversations become crucial one will resort to the forms of communication that you have grown up with a debate, silent treatment, manipulation, and so on, unknownly to them. I work on myself, remembering that only me can directly control myself so I focus on what I really want and accomplish it.
iv. How to make it safe to talk about almost everything.
Few years ago, I had a friend whom I believe we were good friends, because we talk about everything so during one of our time together we got talking so I told her listen I just want the best for you as I want for myself, I am a friend not to judge or attacking you . She often have an attitude that’s speaks bad of her but she’s a great person and men take advantage of her so I needed to let her know and understand but she totally took it the wrong way saying I was hurting her feelings, been mean to her and I seriously don’t understand why she should feel that way, when practically I make it safe so we can talk about almost everything, this has been on going for a year then she was my buddy and I can’t see or watch her just keep living that way. We gave each other space eventually 2 months later, she reached out to me asking we should have a time together, she really wanted to see me and I accepted. During our conversation together I noticed she still doing those character and I really explained to her that my intentions are for her good, yet it was up to her to decide what to do with them, we ended up the conversation I left and stayed back to step in back again if Jane continues to live that way it all on her, you can’t force one to be better, but you can pray for them. Last year I got a call from her mom that Jane is so sick, she has a kidney problem and honestly I didn’t know what to do or say, January 2024, Jane died.
v. How to stay in dialogue when you are angry, scared or hurt.
There was a time I had a dialogue with my mama, I know and understand nobody is perfect except God. I was angry because she wasn’t listening, she always do what is on her mind just like me and I was scared of the outcome and hurt that we the children wouldn’t be happy with her because our father was late and the culture most times doesn’t acknowledge when a woman is right so I wanted things should just be left aside for that moment and in due time restate the matter. Eventually few weeks the situation was handled and gracefully resolved for good.
vi. How to speak persuasively, not abrasively.
Now I have an understanding that during crucial conversations my heart needs to be in the right place, practically when people start feeling unsafe. For me the best at dialogue is to speak my mind completely while doing it in a way that makes it safe for me and others to hear what I have to say and respond to it as well. I am both honest and respectful, I maintain safety because in order to speak honestly when truth could easily offend others, I find a way to maintain safety. These are my personal approach to speaking persuasively 1. Confidence: because I have the confidence to say what needs to be said to the fellow who needs to hear it without brutalizing others or causing undue offense. 2. Humility: I am humble enough to realize that I don’t have a monopoly on the truth, because I am willing to both express my opinions and encourage others to do the same.3. Skill: I am willing to share delicate information, I speak the unspeakable truth, and people are grateful for my honesty.
vii. How to listen when others blow up or clam up.
I encourage the free flow of crucial conversations. Unfortunately,it is human nature to back away from discussions we fear will hurt us or make things worse. Although some are masters at avoiding these through conversation. For me I encourage others instead of leaving a crucial conversations in resentment, I advise an attitude of curiosity, and patience because it gives me an opportunity to ask by expressing interest in the other person views, by increasing safety, respectfully acknowledging the emotions I or people appear to be feeling and paraphrasing because as other people begin to share their story, I restate what I have heard to show not just that I understand but it’s also safe for them to share what they are thinking and balance the situation.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in your daily personal life, and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
These ideas having a profound impact in both my daily personal life and in my ability to contributing to creating a better world by encouraging it’s necessary to having the space for crucial conversations, although might be though, yet when listening to understanding each other, you get to realize we all have to do better regardless of how each of us may be feeling because doing the right things in life is for the good of everyone.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you?
“Everyone argues about important issues, but not everyone splits up, how you argue that matters.”
I was having a crucial conversation with my best which was important, because to me effective communication is the core of life, I don’t know of others, I know we have to communicate effectively so nobody feels unheard, yet when you are calmly talking and the other person begins to argue it’s so annoying that I stop talking for that moment and listen so I understand the person. Yet honestly if he or she accuses of things I never imagined doing or did, the best I could do is to speak out what’s on mind calmly and to let it pass , pray to God about it and if when don’t want to split but the other person has made up his or her mind. You just have to let it go and soonest you find peace within you .
5. Is there anything in the book that you don’t understand or unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with, and if so why?
No! All statements in the book are explicit.
6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?
Not to the best of my knowledge.
7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

How to Sell Yourself
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
All I got to understand that the author is trying to convey is as simple as being confident in yourself and abilities to leveraging on how one could sell yourself with your ideas, your message and every other aspects in co- existing with others in this world through a positive knowing , because you know how you are and how we all are created by God.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life?
i. Selling yourself.
I got to really understand for a truth, there are reasons we all need to actually sell ourselves. One I am becoming more competence by being able to perform my abilities in each given tasks and becoming likeable; it is not about faking it or fooling people but it is being and creating the space for sincerity.
ii. Selling with Confidence.
This aspect of selling with confidence has become a part of me,I gracefully partake in trainings to invest in myself so I would relate more better in each aspect of my life and moves especially in my business relationships. I care about my clients, because I know I am there for them; so I concentrate on them, I get them with every products, I give them a dynamic opening about each product both new and old. I gracefully relate with them, because I care am them. It is not cockiness or smugness; it is the awareness that by being friendly I am selling myself, products and I desire them to be on my team someday.
iii. Selling with the right signals.
The importance of this idea for me is that I would learn how to send the proper signal that will help my clients find me competent, confidence and likeable. Although some people call it body language, some call it non- verbal communication. I call it sending the right signals, because if your clients notice you are tense, intimidating; you may not be aware that you doing it, but your client will be and they will read those signals and soon they be uncomfortable when sharing or discussing important things to you even about the business so I believe, know why selling with confidence in important, one have got to know who you are, your products, business opportunities which includes the benefits and more.
iv. Selling yourself as a speaker.
In my life whether career, business I gracefully sell myself as a speaker because I am very outspoken, I communicate effectively knowing when to talk and when not to talk; because communication with me is different from how others communicate. I perceive when someone may be lacking in a certain aspect, so I gracefully relate in a lame man’s understanding and I believe it is up to that fellow to understand and if they can’t, then I feel it is their own self fighting not to be understanding to the simplest things of life, and it is called using your common sense.
v. Selling yourself in Negotiations.
This is a part of my academic profession as a peace and conflict resolution analyst. I believe, know and understand nowhere does it say that negotiation must involve arguments, tantrums, hostility, animosity or hatred; but unfortunately, that is the meaning of management, labor disputes and acrimonious lawsuits have given the word. Yet honestly, I tell people everytime you buy a product, you have negotiated, because you must have reached agreement on a contract. A decision is made, it is a good deal for both parties. That is the perfect negotiation, it begins, ends and everyone is satisfied that the right discussion and decisions has been made. We all know there are some negotiation which could be a win – lose type where one wins ,both lose in contract talks, in family arguments ! Yet in all imperfect negotiation situation it is vital to realize that if both sides receive fair treatments, both parties comes out winners. Most times people will want to take unfair advantages of the other in order to win, ultimately they lose . Life isn’t balance still I believe in the ideal that negotiation on both sides take turns expressing their selves and exchanging information peaceful.
vi.. Selling your products.
I know the more I got to understand that simple principles while work on my likeability factor that the better my sales record keeps growing. I enjoy selling my products by also selling myself because the need to communicate is important for me, it helps to realize that I am on trial constantly. For example, we are all selling our ideas, ourselves and perhaps public office everyday, so whether there is a product involved, nothing is different, but there are few special considerations and I know that selling is a process of persuading a person or group to buy a product or a service. The more beneficial to both, the more likely it is that the sale will be made and more importantly each parties will come satisfied with the transaction. Here are the principles I use : you have got to know your products thoroughly and speak about each with confidence and authority. 2. You also have to know the competition thoroughly – this allows me to speak well of my competition while emphasizing my own strengths. 3. I have to believe in my company, my products and myself by being proud to represent my company, for me it is obviously the best in it field, after all it hired me.4. I have got to know my territory this means I need to know who the decision makers are and sell to them, honestly it’s a total waste of time to make sale and then discover that you have to make it again because you have been selling to the wrong person or people. I am not perfect but one thing I have come to understand in my entrepreneurship journey I have mastered the intelligence about sensitivity, timing, friendliness, warmth and solid information with a large dose of common sense thrown in with my integrity I am a long term success.
vii. Selling yourself in meetings.
Meetings for me are always staple, not only for the American; because I know and understand if I or anyone could grow good ones (meetings) I and them would make a fortune. Every meeting productive, I become a solution finder
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
These ideas are definitely helping me becoming more intentional about selling myself positively in making sure I am at the right place at the right time, so as to be privileged in building an impactful communities of amazing relationships in my daily life and a better world. For me I realized the book contains valuable insight on personal branding, encouraging effective communication, self- presentation, building rapport and delivering persuasive presentations which helps in enhancing my professional lifestyle .

The Leader who had No Title
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
I understand what the author is trying to convey is one’s willingness to awaken your inner leadership within you to inspire you and your commitment. To working at your absolute best without any expectations, only the desire to be involved and the commitment to making a positive difference and ones readiness to leave everyone you meet better than you found them, also encourages me to give even more of my life to helping people lead without no title.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Leadership and success are your birthright.
I have an understanding that hard times do make better people, that in the middle of difficulty lives opportunity and each of us is built to win in both work and life. In my life , at this age in respective of how life is I have become a better leader in leading myself and practically everyone I encounter with because I intentionally desire doing things right, regardless of how the situation maybe even if it doesn’t favor me, I choose doing right. It has and is still helping me in my life journey, helping me becoming a success in all my work and relationships. Acknowledging being that leader to myself and knowing success is my birthright I gracefully lead in every aspects of my life.
ii. The sad cost of mediocrity and the speculator rewards of leadership mastery .
Honestly, I don’t mean to sound biased; but I know, understand and believe leadership is for everyone and the only thing I really need likewise everyone is to be a breathing human being. Because if you can breathe, you can lead. Life would just keep surfacing the good and the bad, yet it is still my willingness to keep taking each stage one step at a time, instead of beating myself up; just allow the situation growing me to becoming more better, learn from it. In every situation we go through in our individual life we ought to give thanks to God and keep striving to be better than yesterday, making life counts without any regrets of not inspiring, transforming adversity into victory, not fulfilling my purpose here on earth, taking full responsibility of my actions and stepping into the best version of myself with leading without no title and understanding that my success is created through the performance of a few small discipline that stack up overtime to produce achievements far beyond anything I could have ever planned for. And I truly, fully understand that by infusing leadership into everything I do and each soul I touch,I will live remarkably and gracefully realize my original genius and be one of the great ones on earth.
iii. You need no title to be a leader.
Realistically, I don’t need no title to be a leader. Or even see the need of a title because when you doing things right, pleasing God, fulfilling your purpose, inspiring and encouraging people to being the best version of themselves no matter the situation we may find ourselves for me is more fulfilling than being given a title. I see title as burden most times, I can’t get to be myself, one have to watch how you speak even when the truth is needed in the society. Practically I am more better off with no title to my name just a living human being who choose to live to the fullest, while inspiring and encouraging others to doing the same in a positive knowing and positive mental attitude, because someday we all are going to leave this earth, so make good use of our times for good and when I am no more, people will not get to miss me because I impacted with good example and gracefully passed it on to others. I will be forever remembered.
iv. The natural four powers.
I know I have the powers in me to go to work each day, I inspire, influence and elevate myself and each person I meet by the gift of a great example and I don’t need no title to do that. Knowing that me and every human being alive to the truth about leadership can treat all shareholders with respect, appreciation and kindness and in doing so raise the society or organization’s culture to the best of breed and keep building a better world and living our lives to the fullest and honouring the most high in every aspects of our lives is magnificent. Live is beautiful and tough yet with God’s grace, he conquered and I ,we will conquer and be celebrated.
v. Turbulent times build great leaders.
I know truly that difficult days never last, but strong people always do; and that hard conditions are nothing more than chances to become heroic and all that challenging times in both life and business are incredible opportunities to transform mess into success. Bitter truth , problems and difficult days are actually good; I am a living testimony and during those turbulent times I had nobody but God because I knew God will never give up on me. God was the only source and a tower standing with me, plus my family and I am forever grateful to God so I am living to pleasing the most high only,he brought me this far and trusting completely in his sufficient grace is enough for me and all my days I will keep singing his praise.
vi. The deeper your relationship, the stronger your leadership.
Going back to when I started my business in 2016, I never knew anything about network marketing and I basically just wanted to use the products for me. Funny though, along the line I began going for business meetings in my free time, not having the intention of becoming a business owner due to personal reasons. Yet I met different women like, heard their stories, also those who started just like me as personal use. It’s was a blessing to be with so many women who wants to look good, make money and travel the world, I really took some time and the day came my sponsor reached out to me saying madam could you tell me why you not desiring to become an independent distributor for the company. I told her my reasons were my health and I have difficult in recruiting so she helped with recruiting on my behalf, added under me and when there’s a call for meeting I should make myself available and boom that was the best I appreciated, I showed up , during my sessions of speaking I was given a comfortable chair to seat so my legs doesn’t swollen and inflamed but when the crowds starts getting excited unknownly to me I jump and celebrate with everyone, that was how my team grew, started traveling on business vacation by my company Oriflame Nigeria. Tope my sponsor believed and saw the leader in me,encouraged and with the company I became a skincare and beauty consultant. This five rules helping me my journey to achieving success and I make sure to share with others is called HUMAN. H- helpfulness.U- understanding.M- mingle. A- Amuse. N- nurture.
vii. To be a great leader, first become a great person.
Naturally with common sense I know to be a great person I must first become a great person to myself; so I put in the work more on me, keep learning, rediscovering, staying healthy, evolving and being a product of my product. I gracefully enjoy time alone to mediate, consistently building my relationship with God. Supporting others the best way I can without expecting anything because that’s just who I am.

The Power of Self Confidence
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
What the author is trying to convey is the idea of developing and harnessing one’s self confidence which is the key to achieving success and fulfillment in all areas of life. The author emphasize that self confidence is not only essential for personal growth and achievement, but for building strong relationships, making impactful decisions, and overcoming obstacles.
2. What are the seven ideas which are personally most important in the book and why? List these, seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. You can become what you think about.
From a little girl, my parents taught each of us (children) that what you think speaks for you, so individually whenever life isn’t so pleasant, I don’t dwell in the storm of life curves but to learn from it in a positive knowing that as long your dreams, goals are fulfilling; one would always attain each purpose and never negatively thinking the worst out of the situation one would encounter in each of our life journey.
ii. Your inner life predict your outer life.
True happiness and success for me comes from living my life in harmony with the laws that governs my being. Even though these laws are invisible, they are part of my lifestyle and I am transcending each unto my generations; such laws are like law of gravity which is so to be violated only at one’s own peril, and I believe that happy people are those who obey and follows the laws of nature while living our lives consistent with these laws.
iii. Start with your Inner life.
To enjoy self confidence for me is to practice and live completely in integrity in the inside. The foundation of my self confidence is me living consistently with my inner most values and principles, while being in harmony with my highest aspirations. My world could fall down around me ,but as long as I know and believe I am doing the right thing, I will have a deep inner sense of calm that will manifest itself in my attitude of my self confidence and self assurance in any situation I may find myself. I practically know there are ups and downs in life, yet what is most important is that I remain true to myself,I determine the value, even though my values wouldn’t be easy, as long as these values and beliefs are essential to my life and everyone around me; I stick with each of my values because these values are part of the source that defines who I am, not just to myself yet to every individual I come in contact with and in bettering humanity.
iv. Purpose and personal power.
There can be no great courage where there is no confidence or assurance, and half the battle is in the conviction that we can do what we undertake. Owen marden made this statement, my purpose and personal power are what contributes to who I am and becoming; my self confidence is the hinge in which my gate of achievements turns. Gracefully my self confidence has become unlimited because I am able to realize more of my potentials under any circumstances and I realized that happiness is a condition,it is not something I can achieve by pursuing it directly but rather comes as a result of me engaging in purposeful activities. I am becoming more confident and competent in every aspect of my life, because I absolutely know I am blessed with the ability to do what I set out to do.
v. The laws of attraction.
This is one of the most important of all mental laws in explaining what happens to me and every individual. This law clearly says like attracts likes, clear goals brings clear results; because my level of self confidence is directly tied to how effective I desire in achieving my goals, it was important that I know exactly what it is, I want and wanted in life and think of nothing else till I achieve it .
vi. The power of decision
I positively believe and know I am meant to becoming a great success in life, and that there was nothing in the world that could stop me from achieving great things as long as I threw myself wholeheartedly into every activity, and persisted until I succeeded. I am an irresistible force of nature, because I know and believe in depth of God’s strength, my strength and conviction that which will dramatically keep increasing the power of my personality.
vii. Capitalizing on your strength.
I have learned and understood that success is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life, as by the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed. Honestly for me the more self confidence I became, the less I was affected by setbacks and disappointments. As humans we all have our strengths and weaknesses, I work on weaknesses consistently and becoming better on those weaknesses and capitalizing on my strengths because I am intentional about living my life excited, full of riches, rewards and self satisfaction.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in your daily personal life, and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

vi. The power of awareness.
In my early 20 for a truth, I was not having the power of awareness and what I mean is not me having the need to become aware of my thoughts, beliefs, but my emotions. Because I give my all in everything I am doing, and when friends take that for granted my sincerity I really get hurt, a long my journey of aging in life i now became fully aware of my emotions, so my thoughts, beliefs and emotions has a helping me to transform my life and body, also in co-existing with others.
vii. The impact of stress and relaxation.
Here it explains the importance of managing stress and cultivating relaxation to prevent premature aging and maintain vitality. This life I am living is once and honestly, I can’t afford to come stress my health for anything that will not add longevity to my life even (God) will be upset with me, because i was created in his image and given the power to rule, reign, dominate and prosper here on earth.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you?
There are some quotes that resonates with me:
“The way we perceive the world and our place in which it can shape our physical reality.”
For me, it is really true. In my little world and in everything I desire and choose to achieve, regardless of my health situation which I use to see and thought was a limitation, I somehow achieve each, and inspite of the pains I encounter because being diagnosed with chronic osteomyelitis and midshaft fracture of both tibia and fibula is not a detriment to my life and purpose. My only hope, help and trust is for God to prosper me, allocate my destiny helpers so I will undergo final surgery and fully recover and completely keep making an impact globally.
“Age is not a number, but a state of mind.”
I am 38 years of age, yet people acknowledge me to be 28 of age. Funny as it sounds I have gracefully chosen to embrace the wisdom and experience that comes with each passing year and be so grateful to God because my secret key to agelessness is to live in the present moment, fully embracing and experiencing each day as it comes.
“Our thoughts and emotions have a great impact on our body.”
I take pre-caution in my health by having the most positive thoughts and emotions in check, and by taking in the necessary supplements to re- generation of my cells, and organs, because I am healthy, I only have to undergo a corrective surgery to correct my legs, to be more locomotive, alive and keep fulfilling my destiny. I have a functional brain, active life so my thoughts and emotions helps me in greater ways, only I understand and unknowingly reflecting same positive energy to others.

Emotional Intelligence
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
I been knowledgeable and having an understanding of what the author is trying to convey is that emotional intelligence is an important factor in determining an individual success and well-being in life, he also explains that emotional intelligence is just as important as cognitive intelligence in achieving personal and professional goals, he also conveyed that emotional intelligence can be developed and improved through practice, training and experience
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why they are important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Effective communication requires emotional intelligence.
I am really intentional about having a clear expression of my emotions, active listening and empathy because they are vital for me to clearly having an understanding and building strong relationships. I am a jovial and fun person to relate with, although there are few fellows who can misinterpret my kind of person, so I always first hand to make it clear, laying out my expressions, i am outspoken the least i believe that could happen is to being appreciated for being free and able to express myself in truth. It’s either a no or a yes and I thank you for telling me, how you feel about me or a situation.
ii. Leadership requires emotional intelligence.
Honestly, for me I believe to be inspiring, motivating, and supporting others requires self-awareness, empathy, and social skills. Sometimes it is much easier to relate with animals than humans being, because humans makes it difficult to relate with and why I say so is for example when you empower individuals with empowerment programs, in the sector of bead making, hairstyling, fashion and blending machines for grinding tomato, pepper and beans. You have empowered almost individuals whom requested for it with skills and items to begin, yet there’s another gathering towards the end of the year to your surprise , these same individuals will come requesting for this skills and amenities you have supported them with, when there are some other individuals whom desire support to. I know and believe you can’t help everyone yet once you have been supported, give room for others and empower the younger ones, whether old or not . That is why having and utilizing emotional intelligence is much important, not just as a leader yet as an individual.
iii. Self-awareness is the foundation of emotional intelligence.
Being self-awarded is one of the most important for me and understanding my own emotions, values, and motivation is essential to my making informed decisions and building strong relationships. Me being aware of myself encourages I seeing others whenever they might be coming from, and to indicate when there is a lie between; in all I am really grateful to the most high (GOD) and guidance of the holy Spirit with the grace of committing myself to God, all that I do, intend to do I also ask for the holy Spirit to lead me through my emotions because I am naturally emotional so I intentionally continuously in the right path to pleasing God, taking care of myself, extending grace to my family and bettering humanity as long I am still on earth.
iv. Emotions are contagious.
I recognizing and managing my emotions has deeply help me influence and support others ,in aspects of encouraging women to completely believe in themselves trust in God who created we all in his image, likenesses and gave us the opportunity to bring forth a child to earth and not just only that, we are built to nurture, multitasking, industrious, determined, perseverance on what we set our hearts to doing whether is advancing our career, starting a business, supporting a girl child to having the basic education or needs to a better life, we achieve that respectfully while co-existing, creating a positive social dynamic. I am in no way a feminist before my words are misunderstood but a woman who speaks my truth.
v. Empathy is essential for effective relationships.
I always appreciate having an understanding and acknowledging of my emotions and that of others because it helps I building trust, resolves conflicts, and fosters deeper connections. For example, some persons might really have an interest in wanting to know you, I often advise be clear enough to express your intentions and don’t beat around the bush or send a false message to the other and automatically he/ she believes we are a team.
vi. Self-regulation is key to personal and professional success.
I believe managing my emotions, impulse, and stress levels helps me to stay focused, productive, and resilient. As a conflict analyst in the family sector I always advise this to couples more because the stress of work could get to most individuals especially men even women and when this happens, I encourage some peace of space so the man cools down even the women, and understands work stress is normal and should be dropped at the office and you should focus and appreciate your family, loved ones in such seasons, give the stress to God, could if he/she wants to talk about it to his partner and always know tomorrow is another day to achieve more because in respective of life curves as long as we are focus, determined perseverance and creative one will always achieve anything we set our individual mind to.
vii. Emotional intelligence can be developed and improved.
I know and believe that when one is practicing self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication skills that would enhance your emotional intelligence and overall well-being for good.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in your daily personal life, and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?
These ideas are definitely helping me in my personal life by cultivating improved relationships, better decision-making, increased resilience and enhancing my well-being. While in creating a better world in more effective collaboration by applying emotional intelligence in fostering teamwork, cooperation, and constructive conflict resolution, improved leadership, increased empathy and compassion by understanding and acknowledging other’s emotions, promotes tolerance, kindness, social cohesion, more effective communication by expressing clear emotions and needs which facilities global understanding, bridging cultural diversity and positives social change.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you.
“Emotional intelligence is a master aptitude, a capability that profoundly affects all other abilities, either encouraging or hindering them.”
This got my attention because it emphasizes the importance of my emotional intelligence in enhancing or hindering my overall abilities and potential, just like my health situation I gracefully emotionally take each step one at a time.
“Self-awareness is the foundation of emotional intelligence.”
This expresses the importance of self-awareness as the basis for developing emotional intelligence and improving our relationships, decision making and mental health.
“Empathy is the foundation of all genuine relationships.”
To the best of my knowledge and understanding this stresses the important role of empathy in building strong, meaningful connections with others.
5. Is there anything in the book that you don’t understand or unclear about or are there ideas which you disagree with and if so, why?
Yes, the author emphasis on emotional intelligence as a fixed aspect, while he acknowledges it can be developed. For me, I believe it is more dynamic and context – dependent. What I mean is as an individual you only have to always be in the right spirit, space regardless of how life gets, I definitely appreciate we all know life is a hand full of touch and beautiful experiences yet still that is why I encourage putting God first in all we doing, when it is rosy people feel that is how life should be forever but there are going to be good and bad days ahead so we must appreciate each stage, have an understanding and always know that God’s thoughts for his children is of good to give us hope towards an amazing fulfilling life as long as you keep your hands clean, fulfill your purpose, achieve your dreams and help better humanity, your emotions will be right for good.
6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Love without Conditions
Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
To the best of my knowledge, the main idea I know and understand that the author is conveying are one who loves without conditions places no limits on his/her freedom nor on anyone else. Love is a gift that must constantly be given, for me love takes no hostages and no bargains, fear and love cannot exist. he also emphasizes as individuals we must stop blaming others for our problems and take responsibility for our healing, we must learn to forgive ourselves and others.
2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why they are important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.
i. Love is a choice, not a feeling.
Really choosing to love even when it is challenging is part of my powerful practice for personal growth, it’s sad, yet I am choosing not for the individual yet to please and honor The most high (GOD). Because God is love,he did love regardless of how I must have signed purposely or unpurpose . God didn’t give up on me, so why should I not give back love and be thankful for living.
ii. Let go of judgment and criticism.
I barely don’t have the desire to judge another human being, because I am never perfect. I make mistakes, just like every other person and when I am being corrected, I appreciate that. As least I can’t see myself even though I know myself, sir I am open to corrections, not judgment or criticism. Yet for me I perceive being corrected allows each of us to embrace other’s uniqueness and imperfections.
iii. Embrace vulnerability and authenticity.
Being genuine and vulnerable fosters deeper connections and true intimacy, because for me I know and believe when we share our true selves, we build trust and create meaningful relationships, yet still there are some individuals who take this true, honesty great people for granted, regardless we choose not to change who God created us to be and soon our crowns will be given to us gracefully.
iv. Self-love is the foundation of loving others.
Loving myself has been highly necessary and to genuinely love and accept others. I believe when me and each of us cultivates self-love, we are developing a positive self- image and become much more capable of loving others without conditions.
v. Forgiveness is important for healing.
The holy book which is the Bible in Luke 17-1-5 opened my eyes to what forgiveness truly means. For a truth it is impossible that offenses will not come, but woe unto him through which they come. Unknowingly as an individual, you might have hurt yourself, I have learned to forgive myself and keep loving to God’s grace. Likewise others who get you offended. Although for a reality, there are people who find joy in hurting people, yet I always advise myself to never give such fellow a room in my world. What I mean is that you forgive that person and never have any thing to do with them, because forgiveness is crucial for releasing emotional burdens and moving forward. By forgiving ourselves and others, one can let go of resentment and create space for love and understanding.
vi. Unconditional love is the only true tree form of love.
For me this love is Christ love for us and it is important because it explains the need to love without expectations or limitations. I believe and know we love unconditionally, we embrace others for who they are, without trying to change them.
vii. Inner healing is a necessity for loving yourself and others.
I have come to an understanding that addressing our own wounds and insecurities enables us to love ourselves and others more fully and healthy. Yet for me I don’t ever feel insecure, still I believe by confronting my fears and limitations i become more whole and capable of loving without conditions.
3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a particular way both in one’s daily personal life and in helping to create a better world? If so how?
These ideas I got from love without conditions are consistently and positively impacting both my personal life and making contributions to creating a better world in improved relationships, increased self- awareness, empathy and compassion, also reduced stress and anxiety. While in creating a better world, being a positive role model; because i never know who is watching and having faith in my ability to doing things right in bettering humanity
Increased global empathy, having more harmonious communities and conflict resolution, because I know and believe forgiveness and empathy can resolve conflicts and lead to more constructive communication.
4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention.if so, please quote them and comment as to why they are important to you?

For me this explains the desire we have in growing love and connection. It encourages us to take responsibility for creating a loving environment in our relationship.
“We can’t love others until we love ourselves.”
This emphasizes the importance of self-love and self- acceptance. We must learn to love and accept ourselves before we can truly love others.
“The only way to find love is to give it away.”
This explains the importance of selflessness and generosity in love, we open ourselves to receive it
“Love is the only force that can transform an enemy into a friend.”
This is a deep for me because the transformative power of love anyone would have , by choosing love, we can turn even the most difficult relationships into opportunities for growth and connections.

It explains the liberating power of forgiveness, just by truly letting go of grudges and resentments frees us from the burdens of our past.

Assessment by Chinonso Ericson Judith (Nigeria)
1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?
Everything I know and understand about what the author is conveying is that abundance is a state of mind and a spiritual principle rather than just a physical reality and he further explains that abundance is a natural state of being, and scarcity is a human -made concept, also our thoughts and beliefs about how we view abundance shapes our experiences by letting go of limiting beliefs and embracing a mindset of abundance we can attract more prosperity and wealth into our lives. Also he is making us understand that true abundance encompasses not just our material wealth but also spiritual, emotional, and relational richness; because for me I positively know that the key to experiencing abundance is to cultivate a sense of inner peace, gratitude, and trust in God and in the universe’s abundance.

Frankly this idea of unnecessary thinking holds me and everyone back from experiencing true abundance yet when you in the process of such situation and immediately acknowledge who you are and knows God is your maker , in his image and likenesses I was formed, you rebuke that thinking.
ii. Abundance Encompasses More Than Material Wealth.
Growing up in a family where my parents made sure, we got and have every good things of life. I have so much faith in God, because he has never thought of giving up on me, regardless of my flaws. God truly provides my needs, take care of me, not at my own timing yet at his own and that only brings me peace and clarity. Why I say this is because God is my father, creator and I know that his thoughts for me are truly for good and also the universe keeps expanding abundance for my care. Generally God’s grace helps encouraging me to relax and allow my maker infinity abundance to flow continuously in my life
v. Inner Peace Is The Key To Abundance.
I enjoy finding peace within to attract external abundance, because my inner peace creates a sense of calm, allowing me to making better decisions and attract abundance.

While in creating a better world increased generosity, because when you trust God and the universe you will be more willing to share your resources with others. Riffle effect of positivity, one will spread positivity and inspire others to do the same, also environmental sustainability because by recognizing the abundance of natural resources we will be more inclined to conserve and protect the environment and global prosperity because as more people adopt an abundance mindset, global prosperity and economic growth will increase and for me I see and understand as a world peace, which is also as an inner peace for everyone with this hope can lead to greater global understanding, cooperation and peace.
