What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
Technological infusions and globalization has become the order of the day-major challenges facing businesses and the world as a whole. Technology, pervasive and diversified in nature, affects the products services offered by most entities in the world. Not withstanding, it also affects the processes involved in producing a particular product or services that seems to add value to customer expectation. Quality they say is the totality of features and characteristics of a product or service that meets its intended purpose so far as the customer is concerned. In creating brand loyalty, managers of businesses aim at offering customers with qualitative products or services since the customer is life blood of businesses and therefore, have to taken good care of to ensure their commitment and sustainability to increase the market share of the concerned entity. In consequence, businesses spent huge sums of money and time to come out with innovative means of creating and sustaining strategic competitive advantage so to outperform their competitors through their research and development departments. This makes technology and globalization a major hindrance facing the world today.
How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
To solve this problem, the actions of organizations must be tilted towards coming out with innovations that will enhance the quality of products and services produced through the intellectual capital of the organization. This intellectual capital could be human capital such as the skills, experiences and level of expertise of employees, structural capital, thus, the accumulated knowledge and experiences of the company’s management which affects their processes of producing goods and serviced and finally customer intellectual capital, thus, customer reputation, brand loyalty, customer care customer loyalty and the reputation between management and employees that have been accumulated over a long period of time. This means that managers of companies must scan, monitor, forecast and assess the external and internal environment to match their core competencies to the opportunities and threats in the external environment to create competitive advantage through information technology via the internet.
