Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
I envision a world where equity, empathy, and opportunity are universal. A world that works for everyone ensures access to education, healthcare, and justice regardless of background. Diversity is celebrated, and resources are shared sustainably. People collaborate across borders, prioritizing human dignity, environmental stewardship, and peaceful coexistence to create lasting global harmony
What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
The world today faces several interconnected and pressing challenges. Climate change threatens ecosystems, economies, and human survival, demanding urgent global action. Inequality, economic, social, and racial, continues to marginalize communities, limiting access to basic rights like education, healthcare, and fair employment. Political polarization and misinformation erode democratic institutions and fuel conflict, while the refugee crisis highlights the failure to protect vulnerable populations. In addition, technological advancements, while beneficial, raise ethical concerns around privacy, employment, and mental health. These issues require collective leadership, inclusive policies, and a renewed sense of global responsibility to ensure a just, sustainable, and peaceful future for all.
How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
Solving today’s global problems requires collaborative, multi-level action driven by empathy, innovation, and accountability. Governments must prioritize equitable policies and invest in sustainable development. Climate change can be addressed through renewable energy adoption, environmental education, and international agreements with real enforcement. Bridging inequality involves reforming education, healthcare, and economic systems to be more inclusive. Combating misinformation and polarization needs transparent media, digital literacy, and civic engagement. Technological ethics should be guided by diverse voices and global standards. Ultimately, empowering young leaders, supporting grassroots movements, and fostering global cooperation are essential for creating long-term solutions that reflect the needs of all people.
Profile
I am a mission-focused Agri-preneur and social impact advocate dedicated to empowering women and youth through inclusive, sustainable development. My work lies at the intersection of gender equity, climate-smart agriculture, and entrepreneurship particularly within rural and underserved communities in Uganda. With hands-on experience in gender-responsive agricultural training, digital and financial literacy, and community-based capacity building, I focus on practical solutions that uplift marginalized voices and promote long-term resilience.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship at Uganda Christian University, building on my BSc in Agri-Entrepreneurship and Communication Management from Gulu University. My academic journey reflects a deep commitment to using agribusiness as a tool for poverty reduction and inclusive economic growth. In addition, I hold professional certifications in digital marketing, sustainable consumption, project planning, and agribusiness management credentials I actively apply to community initiatives on the ground.
Professionally, I serve as the project officer for women’s empowerment & agribusiness at TIINCA Ministries International. In this role, I lead a Revolving Livestock Project that supports over 200 women farmers in adopting climate-smart practices. My responsibilities include designing and delivering inclusive training workshops, conducting gender-sensitive impact assessments, and supporting fundraising strategies. Recently, I helped secure a $50,000 grant to expand women-led agricultural enterprises.
Previously, I contributed to digital outreach and women-centered innovation programs through internships with Techniche Buildaz and Nobel Learning PBC. These roles sharpened my leadership, storytelling, and advocacy skills on both local and global platforms.
My commitment to grassroots development began during my undergraduate years, when I led community outreach programs that introduced smart farming technologies to rural women and initiated dialogue on gender equity. As an intern loan officer with Lok Itam SACCO, I facilitated financial literacy training for over 70 women, contributing to a 35% increase in agricultural credit access and improved household incomes.
I bring a blend of empathy, creativity, and strategy to every project, whether I’m organizing inclusive workshops, supporting youth-led innovations, or developing content that amplifies women’s voices. My core skills include participatory leadership, digital content creation, project coordination, and storytelling for social change.
I believe true leadership is rooted in service and collaboration. As I grow in my career, I am committed to championing development strategies that are locally informed, gender-inclusive, and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. My ultimate goal is to be a catalyst for equitable leadership and sustainable livelihoods through agribusiness, innovation, and grassroots engagement.
I want to join the International Institute of Global Leadership to deepen my understanding of global issues, develop practical leadership skills, and collaborate with diverse peers. This program offers the ideal platform to grow as a responsible leader committed to driving meaningful change in my community and beyond.
With resilience, a collaborative spirit, and a deep belief in social justice, I aim to contribute meaningfully to global efforts that drive inclusive and lasting change.
