Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
A world that works for every one is chiefly characterized by love and kindness, having humanity as a watch-word. When the leadership of government institutions, nations, community, organization, and even family heads are tender-minded with a kind heart, the world will work for everyone especially as everyone will be highly tolerable. The world will work for everyone if there is diversity, enabling enabling environment and proper and adequate representation by our leaders.
What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
To say the world is not facing challenges is a pure fallacy and stands very far from the truth as these problems are not only pressing but has now become a matter of concern and urgency. Personally, I will start with the issues of leadership, this is true because when a state is governed by a strong competent leader, every other thing will fall in line. The world today is living in potential danger of global warming, measures are put in place to mitigate these climate actions but no strong implementation strategies to back up these policies. High level of unemployment especially among youths and women, poor farm inputs for farmers, low or no capital for entrepreneurs among others are some of the challenges faced by the world today. The nonchalant attitude of citizens to workplace and public facilities are rather becoming worrisome on the daily. Not forgetting the socio-economic vices to mention but a few. The world indeed is faced with much pressing issues and is in dire need of great independent minds with humanity at heart to propel a paradigm shift in this crucial time.
How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
Having pointed earlier that some of the pressing problems faced by the world is leadership, I will implore that citizens alike are to first and foremost equip themselves with the needed leadership skills required of a leader. Personal growth and development is what makes an individual stands out among the crowd. It is important to know that one must not be a public office holder before he/she is termed a leader. There is an urgent need to formulate policies that will help make the world a better place. Most of these challenges can be tackled through job creation, youths and women empowerment for self reliance as the youth constitutes majority of the world’s active workforce. The corruption level in most countries of the world are becoming rather alarming; the poverty level, malnutrition, inadequate learning facilities, poor infrastructures among others can be curtailed fine leaders are build across all strata of the society.

Otso Akpawo Philip, a 31-year-old native of Nasarawa, a pivotal state in Nigeria’s middle belt, embodies a fervent dedication to excellence. Armed with a profound passion for his pursuits, I stand as a resolute graduate endowed with formidable communication skills. My educational adventure led me through the corridors of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, finishing with the attainment of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics, adorned with the accolade of Upper Credit. I sat for the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at the Polytechnic Academy in 2011 where I came graduated with an excellent result.
Eager to carve out a trail of personal development, I embarked on a journey of continuous learning. Certificates bearing testament to my efforts include Business Training and Management (2022) from the Tony Elumelu Foundation, and the Aspiring Entrepreneurs Program (2022) from the esteemed Fate School. More so, I further equipped my skill set with the Accelerated Jobberman Soft Skills program (2022) bestowed by the Pan-Atlantic University. Presently, I am immersed in a rigorous course on Data Science, an endeavor poised to augment my analytical prowess and contribute to my expanding repertoire of expertise.
At my core, I am a researcher with an unwavering commitment to the meticulous process of data acquisition, organization, analysis, and interpretation. My penchant for precision is an indispensable attribute that I bring to every endeavor. Alongside this, I possess strong familiarity with a spectrum of computer applications and an adeptness at navigating the boundless expanse of the internet.
My professional voyage is a journey enriched with diverse experiences. I ascended to the role of Manager at Sarauniya Exclusive Hotels, orchestrating operations with finesse and finesse. Later, at City Comprehensive Secondary School, I held the position of Dean, Examinations and Records, a testament to my capacity for administrative acumen. In the corporate realm, I served as a Business Analyst at Siah Farms Nigeria Limited, adroitly navigating the intricacies of financial analysis and strategic planning. I will not be quick to forget some set skills I possess particularly in urban agriculture and agribusiness with a special focus on mushrooms, berries and vegetables. These are grown vertically using hydroponics.
Currently, my compass points to the Africa Projects Development Centre in Abuja, where I serve as the stalwart Mushroom Enterprise Manager. This non-governmental training institution stands as a beacon, dedicated to nurturing and empowering the youth and women of our society, equipping them with the tools they need for self-sustainability and self-reliance.
My philosophy is steeped in the conviction that catalyzing change in one’s life and environment requires deliberate, intentional and concerted effort. Hence, my unrelenting pursuit of growth, a journey aimed at arming myself with the transformative and innovative skills indispensable for addressing some of the world’s most pressing issues.
