Ongai Mrewa – Assessments

As A Man Thinketh
Assessment by Ongai Mrewa (Zimbabwed)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

-We are what we are in life because of our thoughts.”They themselves are makers of themselves by virtue of thoughts which one choose and nurture “One’s mind is the master-weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance. Though they have woven in ignorance and pain they may now weave in enlightment and happiness.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

a) I am the master and maker of my own life therefore am responsible to a greater extent.

-Act is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits; thus does a man garner in the sweet and bitter fruitage of his own husbandry.

-A noble and Godlike character is not a thing of favor or chance, but is the natural result of continued effort in right thinking, the effect of long-cherished association with

Godlike thoughts.

-As a being of Power, Intelligence, and Love, and the Lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he may make himself what he wills.

– which discovery is totally a matter of application, self-analysis, and experience. I need to dig deep down myself and know my true self then work to become a better person of better character.

b) I have the potential power to crete circumstances through my thoughts.

-Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts which he has built into his character have brought him there, and in the arrangement of his life there is no element of chance, but all is the result of a law which cannot err.

-Man is buffered by circumstances so long as he believes himself to be the creature of outside conditions, but when he realizes that he is a creative power, and that he may command the hidden soil and seed of his being out of which circumstances grow, he then becomes the rightful master of himself. I must think in a positive way all the time in order to create favourable circumstances around.

-So true is this that when a man earnestly applies himself to remedy the defects in his character, and makes swift and marked progress, he passes rapidly through a succession of vicissitudes.

– Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit. When I was growing up I told myself that I want to have a happy family. I now realize that in an effort to come up with a happy family I developed a better character. To me that is a good fruit.

I have learnt from my mistakes after bad thoughts, I reaped bad results and I told myself that I must not repeat such mistakes again. Therefore am now conscious about it. Therefore, as the lord and master of my thought, I am the maker of myself, the shaper and author of environment

-Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are. Therefore I must be and think in a positive way so that I can attract it (what I want)

-Man is manacled only by himself: thought and action are the jailers of Fate – they imprison, being base; they are also the angels of Freedom

–they liberate, being noble. SO I JUST HAVE TO PROGRAMME MY THOUGHTS CORRECTLY. Wishes and prayers are only gratified and answered when they harmonize with my thoughts and actions.

-I must strive to change myself first then the environment will follow me. I just have to learn correct principles of life and be self disciplined so that everything good will be attracted.

– A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances.

c) My Thoughts can affect my body and How I feel healthwise.

The body is a delicate and plastic instrument, which responds readily to the thoughts by which it is impressed, and habits of thought will produce their own effects, good or bad, upon it.

d) Thought and purpose should be harmonized to come up with good results.

-A man should conceive of a legitimate purpose in his heart, and set out to accomplish it.

-As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking. Therefore I can also make my weak thoughts strong.

-I should recognize failure as pathway to attainment. I will eliminate doubt and fear in my life for they disturb me to achieve and cause failure.

e) Thoughts can cause me to achieve or to to fail so it’s up to me to choose what leads me to achievement (postive thoughts).

I am the only one who should willingly put effort to change my condition. Those who want to help me can only do it if am WILLING. A man can only rise, conquer, and achieve by lifting up his thoughts.

-I must not be selfish for the world does not favour those who are selfish even God Himself.

-Achievement is the crown of effort so I must work to achieve. He who would accomplish little must sacrifice little; he who would achieve mush must sacrifice much; he who would attain highly must sacrifice greatly. I choose to attain highly so must be prepared to sacrifice greatly.

f) I must dream and dream big – Dreams are the seedlings of reality.

-He who cherishes a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his heart, will one day realize it.

-Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow all delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these, if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built.

-My vision is the promise of what I shall one day be; my Ideal is the prophecy of what i shall at last unveil. (as highlighted in this book).

g) I must learn to govern myself first.

-The calm man, having learned how to govern himself, knows how to adapt himself to others; and they, in turn, reverence his spiritual strength, and feel that they can learn of him and rely upon him.

– I sometimes lose control but I have realized that self control can take me far. Self control is as a result of conscious decision.

-That exquisite poise of character which we call serenity is the last lesson of culture; which results in one attracting the good.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

-These ideas will help me to have good thoughts and big dreams so that I can attract that which will make me achieve.

-I will give myself time to mediate and think, think, think so that I can take action and achieve since everything starts in the mind!

-Since I have the creative power, I will do my best to influence the global community through my positive influence bearing in mind that what my mind can conceive it can achieve.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Ongai Mrewa (Zimbabwed)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

Your mindset determines how much you achieve in life. Everything starts in the mind, imagine then see it in your mind and take ACTION. When you are determined to do something you need to push until you get what you want and you are satisfied.

The Author also highlighted that most of these things on earth has been done by some other people so seek to learn from them. There is also a possibility to excel and achieve more than your mentors as long as you have a goal and you work towards achieving it. What your mind can conceive, you can achieve it. There is no limit!!!

You don’t have to be ordinary if you want to achieve “the extra ordinary’ in the eyes of others.

“But Jonathan Livingston Seagull…..was no ordinary bird.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

a) Background can affect your performance if you are not aggressive.

“Get down! Seagull never fly in the dark! If you were meant to fly in the dark you would have the eyes of an owl! You would have charts for brains! You would have falcon ‘s short wings! ”pg 3

After thinking about his background, Jonathan’s progress was affected. His pain, his resolutions vanished. This menas that I must not focus on my background as long as it is not encouraging me to achieve my dreams.

b) Never give up; keep on learning and practising.

Practice makes perfect. Gull was off by himself again, far out at sea, hungry, happy, learning. Keep on learning new things but still applying what has been learnt before. I got involved in a multilevel marketing business in October 2010 and I found out that I was supposed to learn to sell and to market the products. At first it was difficult and very disappointing but am now better and getting better results and I want to continue learning skills which can make me achieve my results.

c) Get our of your comfort zone

I must know my comfort zone and understand myself and begin to practice what I want even though I come across challenges and feel very uncomfortable. There is a great different from those who practice and do what their minds tell them to do as compared to those who stay in their comfort zone. One of my friends started his own business and left his job. Therefore all the benefits like car were stripped away from him and at first things were not easy for him. During that time I was telling him that he took a great risk by leaving his job and concentrating on his business. He sold some of his land so that he can have capital for the business. The family moved and they rented their house. Recently this friend told me that he is now getting good returns from his business and he achieved his one of his goal of owning a successful business.

d) One’s mindset determines how far you can go.

Jonathan would say “..Break the chains of your thought, and you break the chains of your body “I have noted that whenever I tell myself that I can do it, I try and most of the time achieve. But whenever I doubt myself and think otherwise, I don’t excel in my performance.

e) Association with the right people is very important.

Do not waste most of your time around people who cannot challenge you or teach you something. Stay around people who have a positive mind and can challenge you so that I can take action and do something. I remember one day I visited a friend ( business man) who lives in an up market place. When I was about to leave his place, he asked me a silly question.”….so how did you get here, where is your car…”To him car was expected from me and I was challenged when I realized that in his mind a car was a necessity. He accompanied me with his car then when he left me at my flat, I told myself I need a car and I worked very hard and buy a car. When I went back to visit this guy for the second time I was now driving.

f) You sometimes need to throw yourself into the deep and learn how to swim from there.

I need to break the chains of my thoughts, then will break the chains of my body, too….

g) Don’t be limited by circumstances.

Whatever stand against my freedom to achieve must be pushed aside whether its ritual, superstition or limitation in any form.

Circumstances can limit you. One day I wanted to buy a commercial stand and was supposed to meet the owner who was staying more than 200km away after we agreed to meet. I could not go with my car and I had huge luggage (things to sell to get money to add on). I said to myself” there is nothing I can do since my husband is using the car’ then I started asking myself whether to cancel the deal or what. Finaly I said let me find an alternative so I board a bus though it was not comfortable for me. I managed to sign the deal and did the payments. I can tell from this that since the circumstance was no longer favourable I almost gave up.

I learnt from this book that nothing can stand in my way and I have the freedom to be myself and do my level best. I may be surprised to see how much I am capable of doing at the end. Whatever stands against my freedom to achieve must be set aside.

h) When you achieve remember where you come from and go back and teach others or help others to achieve.

Livingston was taught, mentored and he realized that he must not be selfish and forget about others he left. Therefore I must also teach others so that they will have a better mindset

i) Be initiative

Jonathan was the one who asked (pg 5) for help. He said,” I want to learn to fly……tell me what to do” Jonathan was assisted because he was willing to be better.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

-These ideas will help me to develop certain virtues or habits that can help me to succeed in life.

-I have realized that everything starts in the mind therefore, I must give myself time to think and come up with goals and take action towards achieving them.

-I will achieve more when I get focused and pursue my dreams even if I come across difficult circumstances.

-Everything can start with me therefore I have to be initiative and make things happen in my life.

-I have the power to become what I want to be in life and can learn what I want to learn in order to achieve what I want.

-I can help to create a better world by going back to the society and teach others helping them to realize secrets of life which helped me.

-I feel that I must provide the best environment and exposure for my child so that she can explore and have freedom to dream and achieve her goals in life.

-One of my sisters is currently in a very difficult situation so I will try to help her to see the future and work towards achieving his goals setting aside these disturbances.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

-“real Jonathan Seagull, who lives within us all”

I was enlightened that successful people come from us and we know them, they are in our society. The difference is that they have chosen to be successful and took action!!, so I can be one of them if I start working on myself and be more disciplined.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

No

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

No exercises

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

I was excited by the characters which were used- birds.

Keys To Success

Assessment by Ongai Mrew (Zimbabwe)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

One can benefit from other people’s experiences and will save time and help to avoid making same errors. Anyone, anywhere in the world can learn the principles of success and apply them to come up with guaranteed positive results (success in all dimensions). The principles of success are universal and they work for everyone therefore there is need to follow what they say if one want to succeed in life.

The author pointed out that definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement. He highlighted that drifting through life without aim is the cause of failure.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

a) I MUST BUDGET MY SPARE TIME AND MONEY.

I have realized that there is no time to waste and I must use my time and money wisely. Therefore I have every reason to put effort and work tirelessly until I develop those habits that will make me successful. This was important to me because time or money not budget for cannot be accounted and can easily be lost without achieving my purpose. I noted that budgeting my time and money helps me to make decisions and channel these resources towards activities that will culminate to achievement of my purpose hence success. I was amazed to note that I have a lot of spare time (8hrs) which I am not fully utilizing.

b) DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE.

This was a very important idea to me because most of the principles in this book are automatically covered (ie personal initiative, self reliance,imagination,enthusiasm,self-discipline and concentrated effort.

I noted that I usually move in other people’s dreams and follow them because of lacking definiteness of purpose therefore I ended up confused and spread my effort on these things which chews up my time to achieve my major goals.

c) ESTABILISHING A MASTERMIND ALLIANCE (WITH POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE) IS VERY IMPORTANT.

I have realized that I must choose RIGHT people whom I can share my purpose with and they can also open my mind since I will be getting new ideas and knowledge. I did not put effort before to choose right people and I did not know that it is very important to invest in relationships but this idea taught me that Mastermind Alliance can help me to achieve greater things.

d) HAVE POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.

This will attract positive in life and there will be no room for negative since I will be looking for the POSITIVE in every situation. I noted that I used to be discouraged, fail to finish tasks or not to take action at all because of negative attitude. For example I would look at the risks and disadvantages more than anything else. However this principle worked very well for me when I applied it sometime this year. I planned to buy a car by end of March and despite all the resistance and difficulties I met before 31 March, I just told myself I will make it and this helped me to work hard in my small business and save money. I managed to take action and import the car before 31 March though I finished the rest of the paper work in April.

e) ASSEMBLE AN ATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY WITH POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.

This is a very important way of influencing the world because it starts with me. My community can learn from what I do more and this will help in transforming it in a positive way. As a Christian I must do to others as I would want them to do to me and this will have a contagious effect. Many times we expect other people to do good to us forgetting that we must be like that and this will attract what we want.

f) GO THE EXTRA MILE WITH PMA.

I have learnt that the extra mile gives results. There is always compensation and one will reap whenever he/she goes an extra mile. In everything I do, I will consider the extra mile.

g) ENFORCING SELF DISCIPLINE.

This is an important idea to me in the sense that it helps in development and maintenance of habits which enable me to fix my entire attention upon my desired purpose and to hold it there until the purpose has been attained. It means its MY RESPONSIBILITY to take action and develop good habits that leads me to success. I used to rely on my husband most of the time eg for me to exercise or to read. I have learnt that it must not be like that I must be initiative and tell myself to do what I am supposed to do without being pushed. My husband can only encourage and advise me if I am self disciplined. I am failing to save money because I buy things which are budgeted for and sometimes I JUST DON’T do what I have planned because of lacking self discipline. To me self discipline will make things happen through action and I will achieve greater things.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas will guide me (give me a map with directions). It is a reference point where I will keep on referring to until I develop the right habits that will culminate to my SUCCESS. These ideas are holistic in approach such that this will mould me to become a better person with an attractive personality which is necessary for success. Use of Positive Mental Attitude will help me to live a healthier life where everything is balanced and I will be more organized towards achieving my definite goal which is clear to me and my colleagues. This will also assist me to be more focused and live without confusion. I will also know the right people to share my ideas with (mastermind alliance) for encouragement and knowledge to reach my target.

In my community, I will be an attractive person and can live in harmony with others in this world at large. These ideas also helped me to realise that I must respect other people and their purpose in life. Due to natural law my personality will be contagious to others and will result in a better world where poverty will be eradicated and people will live according to purpose without unnecessary wars. This will result in development where everyone has a role to play sincerely and rates of crime will be controlled.

There is no need to rush, the law of sowing and reaping applies to me as well. My dream will come true one day!

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you?

-“ Napolleon Hill was born into poverty…his mother died when he was only nine years old..”I was challenged by the way he managed to rise up and become successful despite his background which means anyone has a potential to be successful.

-“You can benefit from the experience of others..”I have to read a lot and hear from others so that I know their experiences and avoid same mistakes.

-“These 17 principles are the essence of the action and attitude of everyone who has ever had lasting accomplishment .” These principles will also work for me because this has been proven.

-“ his definite major goal was more than a wish; it was a burning desire.”I must cultivate my desire until it has become a burning desire as well.

-“Once you learn how to harness the tremendous potential of your mind and how to organize the knowledge you already have you can turn them into the power necessary for attaining your definite major purpose.” Knowing my potential is ok but what matters most is harnessing it and to organize my knowledge so that I create the power to take action and achieve.

-“ The intensity with which you impress your subconscious with a picture of your plan directly affects the speed with which the subconscious will go to work to attract the picture’s physical counterpart by inspiring you to take the right steps.”Therefore meditation is very powerful and I should exercise it everyday.

-“When that picture grows to be an obsession with you,you will find that your every action leads you towards its acquisition” My desire need to be fed until it becomes the driving force in my life.

-“..The speed at which you acquire these (resources) will depend on the size of your need and then control you exercise to keep your mind free of fear, doubt and self imposed limitations.” I am the one who will determine even the speed of acquiring what I need to reach my goal.

-“…If you cannot put what it is you are going to do into words, it is probably because you are not as sure about it as you think.” Every idea or goal needs to be written down as long as one is sure about what he/she wants.

-“ But two or more minds ,united behind a definite major purpose and working in harmony to achieve it, will accomplish great things.” I resolved to communicate more frequently with my spouse so that we will have one definite major purpose and work towards achieving it.

-“But if you are going to achieve success, you will do so only by extraordinary effort…” I will put extra ordinary effort in what I do.

– “You will learn in achieving wealth that success comes about only because you are willing to assume great responsibility and to deliver unfailing goods and services which are truly valuable.” There is room for learning every time throughout out this journey therefore I must be willing to learn.

-“If millions of people are struggling to get by on the salaries they earn ,it is because their highest aim is only to hold the jobs that they currently have. They are where they are, and they are making what they make, solely because of the limitations they have set up in their minds.”It’s the mind so I will teach my mind to think and imagine what is right and positive only.

-“There is no scarcity of opportunity. There is only a shortage of imagination.”Then I must give myself more time of positive imagination.

-“Build your mastermind alliance into your marriage from the start, and it will steady and support you through the darkest moment.” Sharing with my spouse will make him understand and help me to achieve.

-“ Courtesy….the habit of respecting other people’s feelings under all circumstances, the habit of going out of one’s way to help the less fortunate, the habit of controlling selfishness in all forms.” Repetition of the word habit means I have to practice this until it becomes a habit so will take more action from now onwards.

-“…faith is the master gate through which we gain full and free access to that tremendous power…” Faith matters, I will develop my faith and remove limitations from my mind.

– A keen sense of justice… builds a fundamentally sincere and sound character…” this strengthens your relationship with your conscience and thus allows you to act more promptly since motives and desires are clearer.

– Let your manner always be friendly, no matter what the outcome…” I will practice this at work and home.

-“ Be direct and assertive in your greetings and people will associate those qualiyies with the whole of your personality.” I will practice good handshake since I have realized how powerful it is.

-“Set aside at least an hour a day to contemplate your relationship to Infinite Intelligence.”I learn this habit.

-“cultivate that vision every day. .. Then renew that motive…keep up that persistent action.” It is not a one day thing so will continuously do it.

-“You are what you are and where you are because of the dominating thoughts in your mind .” This shows that I am responsible of my own life and should not blame anyone and I have the power to change my dominating thoughts hence my destiny.

-“Comprehend that no one can hurt your feelings, make you angry, or frighten you without your full cooperation and consent.” I choose to be or not to be offended, it is within my capacity.

-“You must learn to work with natural forces, not to fight them.”I am the one who is supposed to change because natural forces do not change at all. All actions and reactions are fixed on the basis of this universal order.

-“Your children can inspire you, build a strong relationship with them, never neglect to spend as much time with them as possible.”I will spare time with my child.

-“Any worthless, superfluous, or harmful habit can be broken and replaced with a more desirable one if you want it to be so.”I have the will power and can decide to break bad habits and develop good ones.

How do you know who is the right person, what if your mastermind alliance people are the ones who will turn to be your competitors? How do you avoid this from happening?

Psychocybernetics
Assessment by Ongai Mrewa (Zimbabwe)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The author revealed that everything that affect one’s present or future being is that individual’s mind set because everyone of us acts ,feels and behaves in a way that is consistent with our self-image, regardless of the reality of that image. Through self –image enhancement one can have personal fulfillment expanding talents and capabilities in him/her to become successful.

It is important to become the person who acts instead of just reacting because “life best lived” is by design. Therefore it all starts by you since you have the will power to choose what you want to do or not to do or how you want to respond to circumstances. One’s self image will affect the person you will become hence your destiny. An individual need to be empowered to take control and be responsible of her life through developing habits that will lead to success and stop bad habits that affect growth to success. If one wants to succeed she must have clear goals and work towards achieving them. Therefore planning your life is critical if you want to achieve.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

a. “You can achieve a positive self –image that will empower you to set and achieve goals of personal happiness and professional success by diligently practicing a few simple techniques.”

This idea was very important to me because it taught me to learn new habits that I learnt in this book so that I can successfully achieve what I want in life. I have realized that everytime I embrace myself with positive self-image (at work, family, church, in business etc.) I perform better and get positive results which gives me a positive feedback and automatically encourages me and gives me more energy to take action. This idea also fascinated me because it point out on personal happiness and professional success which means this will allow me to live life by my own script.

b. “Your subconscious mind is a hopeless ‘yes-man’.It accepts every conscious thought you have as 100 percent gospel truth.”

I must feed my subconscious with positive ideas which also boost my self esteem bearing in mind that the subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between real experience and one that is vividly imagined. This idea opened my eyes and made me realize that negative tapes should be cancelled as soon as they try to creep in my mind and I have to replace with the positive ones.

c. “Moving Ahead: From Goal-Setting to Goal-Getting.”

I learned that I should concentrate on action that helps me to achieve my goals rather than spending time and energy blaming and looking back on my failures. “Life is a moving vehicle….if you spent too much time looking in the rearview mirror, you will hit a tree; that is why your front window is bigger than your rearview mirror.” I used to blame situations or people whenever I fail to accomplish. I remember one time when I was blaming people for not joining multilevel marketing business under me but now I accept that the blame is on me because I am not doing what I am supposed to do according to the business plan on doing business presentations and talking to at least 3 to 5 people a day about the business. I need to prioritize and give myself time to do the business then take action so that I can excel in it.

d. “Share your ‘go up’ goals with someone who will champion your efforts and not be inclined to sabotage them, tell people who believe in you…be selective.”

This will make me accountable and pushes me to take action. If you agree to take action as a group of people who want to achieve, you will encourage each other until you achieve. This worked for me when I and my friends agreed to do tangible things with our salaries. So we agreed to do ‘round’ where the 5 of us would give one person 500 dollars each to make a total of 2500 dollars that month until we all finished. We managed to achieve each one of us what we have shared we wanted to achieve eg buying car, building, buying and selling business.

e. “Your mind is like a parachute: it only works when it’s open.”
This idea helps me to be alert to decisions that are consistent with my goals and develop action plan accordingly. Sometimes I get carried away and end up wasting energy and effort on things that are not consistent with my goals.

f. “None is immune to negative feelings and attitudes. The important thing is to recognize them for what they are, and take positive action to correct course.”

This clearly shows that I can not avoid or run away from negative feeling. Yes they come but I should be able to identify them and take the positive action to correct or replace the negative. Therefore I should be courage enough and consciously deal with the feeling. I have the will power to correct the course.

g. “Let us not limit our acceptance of life by our own feelings of unworthiness.”

I have learned that a positive self image helps you live a fulfilled life looking forward to the future with joy and anticipation, when we expect to enjoy tomorrow and we have something important to us.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas will help me to achieve my goals living a life where I am the master planner of my life. This will also help me to be responsible with my life knowing that I am the planner and I am the one who can make thinks work in my life. This will definitely push me to take action for the betterment of my life rather than blaming other people around me.

These ideas also helps me to become a better leader who can lead by example and willing to work on herself to live in harmony with others making the world a palatable place where we share the gift of life and use our talents to edify each other.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

“Believing is seeing;” How your imagination can guide you toward success.

This was important because it clearly shows me that believing is very important. Therefore it is of paramount important to believe in a positive way and remember that the subconscious can’t tell the difference between real and the vividly imagined. In the process the mind initiates the process of actualizing them. I have learned to be positive in life and quickly remove the negative thoughts replacing with the positives before they manifest.

“There are many different paths to the same end, and you needn’t feel intimidated or discouraged if your way happens to be different from your spouse’s, your boss’ or your uncle’s.”

This quote encouraged me to understand that I have my path therefore I should concentrate on achieving goals rather than listening to failures who failed to achieve in their path. Therefore I should choose the Best Approach
suitable for me to achieve.

It is our self-image that prescribe our limits. And achieving a positive self –image is within the capability of every man, woman, and child.”

This shows that I can also do it and make it in life! Nothing should stop me.
