Oladapo Greatness – Assessments

As A Man Thinketh
Assessment by Oladapo Greatness Oluwafemi (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea of this book is “CONSTRUCTIVE POWER OF THOUGHT AND DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF THOUGHT”. How my thought makes me or mars me. How thoughts create and destroy.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas and followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

* Imagination is the thought in the mind…. Imagination is then the workshop where our thoughts are being produced: There is an old saying but still of relevance today, which says “What ever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve’. I conceived an idea to write a book, God actually spoke by his Spirit inside my heart saying “I want you to write about the things have been teaching you on working for people and your experience and title the book “HOW TO EMPLOY YOUR EMPLOYER”. That was a thought produced. Then I imagine the cover page designs and wrote it down because what you don’t pen down, you cannot pin down. I believed this thought and I started work on it immediately and it is a reality today. God gives the plan but man determines the building. Imagination only builds what God has planned to be built. I also used my workshop (imagination) to produce thoughts that are consistent with the nature of God’s plan for the book.

* My thoughts form my character. That is, the sum total of all my thoughts reveals my character. That is n=o (Thoughts) = Character;

Then it showed on my character. All my words start reflecting what is inside the book; this is because the book is a product of my thoughts. If my thoughts were to write because of money, then I have defeated myself but its intention and motive is what actually formed the basis for the book that is shifting people’s focus from “Working for money but to working for value and value in turn will give them the money”. So, our focus should never be to make money in a company or anywhere but how much can I still give to this community. This concept actually became my CHARACTER for I started behaving like that and in fact it has affected others to and will still affect many more people.

* To reach Divine Perfection, I must choose the Right thougth” and give the right thought a true application but if I choose a wrong thought and then apply it, its application will produce a beast. That is: Divine Perfection (DP) Thought Right choice True Wrong False application choice application Thought Beast

Divine perfection is my goal that is “As he (God) is so I am in this world”. Something happened to me one day, I board a bike with a lady and the bike man abused a certain man he does not know because the man actually drove carelessly and almost hit us. The same man came and wanted to arrest this young bike man. I had actually refuted and corrected the bike man. Before I know it, this bike man had disappeared into the thin air, he was nowhere to be found together with his bike. Then I approached this gentle man and I apologized to him. Here is what happened again, I have not paid the guy yet before he left but the Lady has paid him N50 and she was supposed to collect N30 as change, she waited and waited for this guy. I also waited but I just said to myself let me pay my transport fare (N20) to this lady as her change and then top it with N10 making N30. She collected the money from me and that was the money she used to transport herself back home. I don’t know her from Adam but I saw God in her, because AS GOD IS SO AM I IN THIS WORLD. She eventually said thank you and she left. I was happy because I have demonstrated love to someone hurting at the time.

* I have power over my thoughts; I determined by action because I determined my thought. “Your action is not as important as the motive behind your action” says Greatness Oladapo. I bought an expensive book for someone and the gain I made was a little bit much. I became disturbed. I could not pray and I kept talking to God as I walked into the bathroom. Then as I was about to shower I heard those words I just quoted (Your action is not as important as the motive behind your action). Then peace came because I found out my motive was correct, I wanted to help the man business to prosper and eventually the same person sent me text messages in appreciation for what I did. I have power over my thought, whether to think up or down, wrongly or rightly.

* Circumstance does not make the man; it reveals him to himself. The world does not determine a man, but the man determines his world; I know my whole future lies in my hands. Man should create his own environment of positivity. I wrote that book not minding what will cost me. I determine the circumstance and the circumstance conformed to my thoughts pattern. One time, I went to Bank on my project to see the Manager but he was not on sit and I needed to see him at the time but I was disappointed, then I converted that disappointing circumstance to what will suite the existence of my living. I spoke softly and kindly to the Secretary and he gave me his number. Suddenly, I have forgotten the disappointment. I really love one statement from Dr Ralph Martin, he said “for every ‘one’ negative, pluck it and plant two purposeful and intent positive ones” and that is what I did then the circumstance reveal the kind of stuffs I was made up of because to me disappointment contain in it appointment and discouragement has courage in it.

* Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are not willing to improve themselves.

I don’t have negative moment because I have learnt to be positive at all times; because positivity is the mother of productivity. Many people actually expect others to do things for them. For example as at this time, I don’t have a personal computer at home talk less of internet facilities. But, that did not deter me from writing my first book, that did not deter me from applying to IIGL even though it cost me my savings, I am not saying this to be pity by anyone but to drive home my point; that I can still improve myself even if the circumstance is not conducive. I know surely my time is coming that I will have all those things in abundance. My focus is always on self improvement, because if you can improve self then the nations of the world will be improved.

* Good thoughts (intent) and actions can never produce bad results; bad thought (wrong motive) and actions can never produce good result;

As long I keep good, correct, right thoughts, my actions will follow suit. One time, I walked with a particular lady in school. My thought was to help a lady up academically. And I walked up to her, she first rebuffed but I explained my intention. My intent was the reason why I acted. I did not ask this girl for an unhealthy relationship for 4 years that we were together. She eventually graduated with a 2:2 and in fact she is married now. If your motive is correct, you action will correspond to it and a good result will show forth.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you create a better world. If so how?

My vision in life is “show-casing to the world a full man, with the full knowledge, with the full dominion that God has made him to be”. This vision alone can occupy me till I leave this world. So, for everyday I live, the seven vital ideas have gotten which are already in me, is that I must keep working until we get there – making the world a better place. All the ideas I have gotten will be diffuse into my vision, by practicing them daily.

For example, I will use these ideas for my first book launching on 14th October, 2010 because it’s been challenging getting funds to publish the book titled “HOW TO EMPLOY YOUR EMPLOYER”. I know those ideas do work, therefore by the time I use them; I know I will send my testimony to you on 15th October, 2010. The ideas shared in this book which has become a reality because of those seven ideas gotten from AS MAN THINKETH will cause the world to become a better place.

More so, I will practice these ideas even more in the teaching of the newly introduced subject Leadership Development Studies (LEDS) in Nigeria. Sure, the world especially my nation will become a better place in the next ten years because 2020 is the targeted year.

4. Are there any statement which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

* “Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are”. This tells me that my focus should not be on what I want but on what I AM, because what I am will attract the right kind of people, materials, and resources from all around the world to me. And I think because I always see myself as a leader, that’s why IIGL is attracted to me. Focus on what you are, not what you want. And what you are will attract what you want.

* “Clean thoughts make clean habits”. My thought is what my habit becomes and my habit becomes my character. That I should have a clean thought, and then my habit will become clean, my character will be clean as well and my life will be clean also.

* “Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment”. Thought carries with it emotion. Emotion is what gives thoughts its unquenchable power. For my thought to be productive, I must impart it with a definite purpose.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about or ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

The book itself is self explanatory. I really understood its message and concept. The ideas are practicable not vague. All the ideas I got there are not really new to me, therefore I have no disagreement with any one of them. If you read with an unbiased mind, you will really understand it, and I really understood everything, I mean everything.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

The exercise, I know this book has given me is to go back to my drawing board. Check my purpose; align my thoughts to that purpose. Which in fact I have started looking into already. For example, I got the money for the venue of the book launching – through the thought processes founded on purpose (right motive) describe in this book.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous question? If so, please comment.

I would have love to review the chapter “THOUGHT AND PURPOSE” because it really touched my inner cord and if we can be allowed to assess one or two chapters that really touch us in a special way I think it would be good.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Oladapo Greatness Oluwafemi (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The main idea I found out from the book is “Daring the impossible because it is possible”. The author has been able to convince me that impossibility only exists with a non-existent being living in an ever extinct ideology; but not me. Jonathan Seagull dare the impossible and got the possible – the possibility of crawling when others are sleeping, the possibility of standing when others are just crawling, the possibility of walking, while others are still standing, the possibility of jumping when others are still looking. The possibility of running, while others are still walking and the possibility of flying while others are still running after food. The idea says you can change the status quo not by changing your status (single or married) but by changing your mindset into an ever magnetic world of possibility. In a nutshell, the main idea says “think possible” or think possibility” whichever way it comes to mind.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas and followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

These seven ideas are important to me because they really formed how I became what I am today and I never knew I have been practicing these ideas before, because I actually saw them (the ideas) in the author’s mind also. By the time I explain them with my own personal life, I believe you will understand.

* Catch a new concept of how things can be better and then start practicing it: I hated novel but I love reading books that really inspire me for a better world. When I was in the University, I read books outside my field (Chemistry), I read book on personal development which was not part of any curriculum from nursery to primary and secondary even tertiary education. You are to do all of that on your own. I kept reading and developing myself. Then I graduated from University (with a 2:1) and served my nation. Guess what? After service, there was no job. I search and search no one could offer me a job. Then, I looked inward, that what do I have? I knew I have developed myself mentally and I know if this situation (of unemployment) should continue like this, there will be problem for the next 22nd century graduates. Then I said to myself there is a need for personal leadership development course to be taught as a subject at all levels of education from kindergarten, nursery, primary and secondary and tertiary. And that was it. I got it. I got the new concept and there and there I searched for relevant information and I formed the curriculum for secondary schools as at then. I caught a new concept and now I have started practicing it. Teaching students in my nation the subject – Leadership Development Studies (LEDS).

* Not all matters that matters to others should matter to you just matter your own matter: I matter my own matter. Many of the students we graduated together because of the teeming unemployment issue in my nation went for their masters. Funny enough, the same modus operandi of things that did not let them secure a job after the first degree, they went back to it. Well, I mind my own matter and I got my result. In fact in minding my own matter, I found International Institute for Global Leadership. And by God’s grace these mates of mine, I will employ them for the same subject when they are through with their masters.

* Be the first and the best of your kind: I am very unique and special. I started anyhow – the power of experimenting. I started experimenting my potentials from secondary till my university days and even now. I went for a whole year, experimenting LEDS in school, and guess what? It produced positive result; the students became better (which was the plan), even my boss noticed it. Yes I am the first in this course as I know of in Nigeria to start this and in fact the best of my kind because I experimented my new concept of a better a world.

* People will always talk against you when you are making the hardest move of your life that they have never seen: People started talking including my dad, that if you want to teach anything, teach Chemistry. I love Chemistry to my bone marrow and I know how teach it very well. But I knew Chemistry is not the next line of action but LEDS. People must talk against what you are doing, if they are not talking, that means you not succeeding. The reason why they talked or are talking is because they know you are a success or you will succeed. Not only my dad did talk, others two join him, that, it is too risky.

* Don’t fear failure even if it is staring at your face but endure to succeed and be corrected along the way: As I started teaching the subject (LEDS), some students showed a nonchalant attitude to it. It was as if I will fail, but behold the session ended, students became better. In fact now we have started plans to move to other schools in order to spread our tentacles. Don’t fear failure, let failure fear you.

* There will be time you want to give up your dreams (aspirations) as a result of slow or low productivity, don’t give up, victory is on the horizon: Thank God I did not give up. A time came I resigned my job because the subject Leadership Development Studies was demanding but my amiable boss came looking for me. I started all over again. Then the victory came when I secured a new appointment with an International School to teach the same subject in Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria. Don’t give up too soon, you will surely win.

* Your expectation of people response to your victory may be disappointing; then CARVE A NICHE for yourself: Even if no school embraces the subject no more, I will carve a niche for myself. I will start a new school myself where the subject will be taught to those who are interested to make the world a better place. I call disappointment; “appointment” and discouragement “this courage”. Already we have carved a niche for ourselves because work has begun on spreading our tentacles. Now that the curriculum has been tested, proven and trusted and reliable we can make the world a better place.

* “For most gulls, it is not flying that matters, but eating. For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight”. This caught my attention because I always say things like that. I use to say “For most people they love to work for money, but for me I don’t work for money but for VALUE”. I believe very strongly that if I work for value, money will be begging me to have him. And in fact I have seen this working for me times and times again. I don’ work for money, I work to create values for others and myself. Jonathan Seagull was a gull, correct but he dares to think and talk differently, so he got a different result from others.

* “I could be spending all this time learning to fly. There’s so much to learn”. I must keep learning even when there is nothing I think I need to learn. Jonathan Seagull, kept learning, therefore I must not stop learning, re-learning, and un-learning.

* “There in the night, a hundred feet in the air, Jonathan Livingston Seagull – blinked. His pain, his resolutions, varnished. Short wings. A falcon’s short wings”. That’s it. Use your limitation as your solution and experiment that solution and it will work for you.

* “His vows of a moment before were forgotten, swept away in that great swift wind. Yet he felt guiltless, breaking the promises he had made himself. Such promises are only for the gulls that accept the ordinary. One who has touched excellence in his learning has no need of that kind of promise”. This tells me that I should expect the unexpected, even when it seems that I am almost giving up.

* “Don’t you forget that the reason you fly is to eat”. Often times I hear people say that everyone is working for money in an organization in order to cater for our needs and so on and so forth. But this statement is true of most people but to me as I was reading I found something deeper, then I said “If they work to eat, then I eat to work” and in fact if the reason why they fly is to eat I eat to fly so as to give them what they will eat”.

* “You have to practice and see the real gull, the good in every one of them and to help them see it in themselves. That’s what I mean by love”, This quote help me to understand that I should not give up on people, but to be hopeful in helping them to set loose that angel on the inside of them like Michael Angelo said “I saw an angel in that marble and I have to set him free”.

* “You’ve got to understand that a seagull is unlimited idea of freedom, an image of the Great Gull, and your whole body, from wing tip to wing tip, is nothing more than your thought itself”. It tells me that I am what I think that I am. I become what I think.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about or ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

The book itself is self explanatory. I really understood the story line, its message and concept.

The overall exercise I found in this book is the statement…….. “Keep working on love”. This exercise struck me and I have started work already because it is helpful to me. Love is the greatest. Perfect love cast away fear. I have gotten a “LOVE CARD” I made it for myself as my LOVE CONFESSION, in the morning and in the night before sleeping.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous question? If so, please comment.

To me, questions 1, 2, 3 and 4 are my best questions. And all these questions really covered all that needed to be included or to be answered or to be said. Therefore, I don’t have any comment. But I love this book and I will give it to some of my friends to digest.

Success through a Positive Mental Attitude
Assessment by Oladapo Oluwafemi Greatness (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The author’s main idea in the book is summed up as “whatever it is I can conceive and believe, I can achieve”. And the power to achieve anything is in my talisman – “the Mind” which has two emblazon written on one side is NMA (Negative Mental Attitude) and other side is PMA (Positive Mental Attitude).

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

It is very amazing how God works in the life of individual. One of my mentors gave me this book in Nigeria when I just finished my first year in the University, but I eventually gave the book to someone who then lost my jewel – “Success through a PMA”. But thank God IIGL has helped to dry up my many years of stress by sending me another copy of the same book. I will be sharing my major 7 ideas I used from the book when in the University and the testimony from my own personal experience.

1. Set your sail before setting out to win.
2. Understand the power of knowing before trying.
3. Paste it on the wall to paste it on your mind.
4. The power of positivity.
5. Develop inspirational dissatisfaction.
6. My senior silent partner told me what to do.
7. Have what you think, see, and say while others are just trying to push ahead.

Explanation

1. Set your sail before setting out to win. Before my admission letter arrived on the 14th March, 2005, a night before that day, I sat down in my closet on a comfortable chair where I can meditate and visualize my university circumstance, grades and how I will conduct myself in the University. That night, I wrote down in detail all I will do in the University, the kind of grade I will graduate with. I visualized it and got it all written down and documented in a full sheet of paper that night. I just knew I will not fail in my academics. This is what I mean by setting your sail before you start running.

2. Developed the power of knowing before trying. I knew within me that I will never fail in school or have a carry over or even spill (have extra year). That power of knowing is within my reach because I have cultivated the land a night before setting out for University. It is never enough to just write something on paper, one must act on that which is written down. And actually what you don’t pen down, you cannot pin down. A dream still on paper is never a dream at all; it must be followed by a “knowing” that what I have written down will come to pass.

3. Paste it on the wall to paste it on your mind. The mind is very powerful, that’s why I guard my mind from every distraction such as partying, clubbing and girlfriends. I wrote on that paper “No Girlfriend as in lovers in school”. I said, I will either graduate with a first class or second class upper division. Then it was pasted on my mind till I graduated from school.

4. The power of positivity. I used to say “Positivity is the mother of productivity”. You cannot be productive without being positive. I became persuaded and convinced that I cannot fail and that’s exactly what I got. For example, in my first year we had a course titled BLY 101. This course was 80 pages and above higher education note book, fully packed with diagrams and it was a 3 credit Unit course. You fail it; you carry it over in the second year. What happened was, we had a test and only 20% passed; I had 26 out of 60. That means I was among those people that failed. Then

5. I developed inspirational dissatisfaction that I was going to score high in my examination. Then I was motivated, I will read and read and pray and pray, then one day something strange happened to me which I can never forget in life. I was supposed to write the exam on a certain day, but as I was reading with a medical student (Ben), my roommate and others were reading as well preparing for the paper that was to take place in the next few hours,

6. Then, I heard a voice on the inside, my senior silent partner told me what to do … he told me to go and tear my note books on this same course (BLY 101) which I had already failed the test paper. I asked Ben, did you hear what I heard? Ben said what did you hear Femi? I then repeated and quoted the same thing to him. He said, Femi you must be crazy. I said I heard a voice and it was so real to me that nothing could erase the thought in my heart. Immediately, I took the book to the dust bin and tore it to pieces. So there was nothing to read again but I was not perturbed knowing fully well “I heard a voice that does not fail”. Many of my friends and roommates got to know about it, and started to put fear in me but I spoke up to one of them, who’s today still having problem in the school. I said “it is only if I have not heard a voice that I will fail and you Damola I will pass more than you – I boasted in my senior silent partner.

7. Have what you think, see, and say while others are just trying to push ahead. We wrote the exam that day, fully assured that there was not going to be any problem. I thought, saw and said my result over and over again until our results was out and everybody wanted to see it. I was not eager to see it because I had already known the outcome from within. Then I later asked one of my friend who actually want to check her own. She said Femi, I (Tolu) had a “C” but only three people have “Bs” and in fact you are one of them who had that “B”, you had a “B”. There and there I shouted and jumped in the room it worked, it worked. Then I turned to Damola and then ask please tell what was the score. He said, I had a “C”. Then, the whole room was silent for a while, then I became like a ‘god’ in my room and even in my department. This is what you get from your senior silent partner when he tells you what to do. Dr. Dyer calls it “Intuition” or “ “. But I call him “My driving force” – The Holy Spirit.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas helped in my academics. If they could help me, then they can help someone else. So, in view of the above I have started sharing these principles to students from all level of education ranging from secondary to tertiary students. Then we hope to apply them in our new quiz competition program – Leadership Quiz Competition for secondary schools. And since we believe in these ideas we will impart them into these children through our quiz competition.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

Yes, in fact the quotes are many but these are just the few ones.

1. “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”: This tells me that if I decide on anything I want to do, that it is possible. Productivity starts from the mind not from whom you know or you don’t know.

2. “If you know what you want, you are more apt to recognize it when you see it. When you read a book for example, you will recognize opportunities to help you get what you want”. This quote informed me about the importance of information especially books. There is another project on my mind which I will like to execute next year (2011) which requires enormous funds (please I am not requesting for any funds) but with this quote I know what to do – read books – go for information.

3. “The secret of getting things done is to act. The self-starter is the self-motivator DO IT NOW!” “DO IT NOW” is what I am practicing in IIGL, as IIGL sends books to me, I will get the solution of funding from these books which I am already doing. I don’t do things tomorrow but now for example I wanted to learn something from a friend whose house is very far from my house, then I heard “DO IT NOW” and today that thing I wanted to learn is a story.

4. “A man of 25 has before him some 100,000 working hours should he retire at 65”. This is one of the most striking statement in the book. I just clocked 26, Oct 14, 2010, and I believe with this knowledge I can make use of my time wisely and judiciously.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

The book is superb and explanatory. There is nothing unclear, nothing disagreeable. I really understood the viewpoint of the author.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Most of the ideas are workable and therefore worth practicing. I have started some of them and they have proved to me to be helpful beyond measures.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

No I do not have any comment.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1-10.

A. How interesting was it to read? 10
B. How helpful were the contents? 10
C. How easy was it to understand? 10
D. Would you recommend it to others? 10

The New Dynamics Of Winning
Assessment by Oladapo Oluwafemi Greatness (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The author’s main idea is all about “How to be a Champion” in life (everyday living). A person can make himself or herself a champion if he/she chooses. Like Christy Linsdon said anyone that wants to be a champion must first train as a contender. This, I believe is the main ideas of the book.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

1. What you are outside is as a result of who you are inside:

A man determines without from within and not vice-versa. I created an entrance of possibility for myself and others by not being a job seeker but job provider. Now, I have about 5 people working with me in HOT-EYE GLOBAL COMPANY. From within, I visualized a solution to a problem in my nation (Nigeria) particularly leadership problem and I then developed and designed a curriculum for it and started teaching it first before letting others become aware of it. You see, champions don’t wait for any pull, they make the push. I saw a need from outside and then went within to get the solution. The solution to leadership crisis in Africa is traceable to lack of an educational curriculum on leadership to cater for it but thank God our company has gotten the solution by providing a workable and durable curriculum for that. This is what I meant by saying that “what you are outside is a result of who you are inside”. When you think of a solution, you become the solution outside.

2. To be a champion, you’ve got to think like one:

To be a champion you’ve got to think like one. No champion can win without thinking of a positive outcome. It is the level of your anticipated positive outcome that determines your income. I know if I started teaching from public (government) owned schools I might not get desired results but I was positive and I went to a nearby private school to teach Leadership Development Studies (LEDS) this was before I got to know IIGL, I got to know about IIGL from my former boss of that same school. My positive outlook was that the students will like it and in fact they did embrace it. Definitely, I had a positive outcome and that determined my income. To be positive minded is to be productively inclined. You cannot be positive without being productive. I was thinking like a champion that a school will embrace the subject, this I even got with a salary where there was no job. I wanted to work for free but the man insisted to pay me. But I had positive thought about the situation and turns out right for me.

3. Champions make things happen, losers let things happen:

Nobody will make things happen for me, I’ve got to make them happen for myself. Like I often say “the world is not looking for your needs but for your seeds”. You’ve got to be seed conscious. I must sow seed for a need in my society. I defined “NEEDS” as Necessity Employed Empowers Development in any Society. Champions champion a cause. Martin Luther King said “if a man has not found what is worth dying for is not fit to live”. I found a course and I’m treading upon it and along my way I have been winning because champions are winners, they cause things to happen. To have a corruption free generation is what I am for, I am not against corruption. This is the mentality of a champion who makes things happen. And I have started the move from schools teaching the subject (LEDS) to a corruption free generation, and I know it is possible because Apostle Peter said “….save yourself from this corrupt generation” that means it is possible to have CFG (Corruption Free Generation) but you have got to save them now that they are young in years.

4. In any chosen field, there is always a leader of that industry, but the place of a champion is not determined by the placement of that leader, if he’s being resisted, he then carve a niche for himself. A champion is a being in a class of his own. With no restrictions to his life rule:.

Irrespective of what others did, said, thought, there is still a better way, this I believe undoubtedly. There will always be those who are leaders of industry (field) but that does not deter a champion from daring because leaders come and go, but it is my level of preparation, how prepared I am to take the leadership mantle from those top leaders that determines my placement as the next generational leader. So watch out world for the next generational leader on purpose. And that’s me. I have a purpose, I have a responsibility, a necessity has been laid upon me to influence my world. I dared to move to school to teach because I believe in my purpose …. to crystallize the educational curriculum that has been tailored and fashioned to produce or churn out job seekers instead of job creators that we are. This is why I am a teacher now, whether certificate wise or not. I know teachers are there already but I am a different kind of teacher who is set to rule his world and bring out the best in these children (or students).

5. Learn to go within into those past victories/laurels, of how they were won in order to pass through what you are passing through presently:

There will always be challenges, if they don’t come wait for them, if they don’t ever come, then I (or you) never had a dream from God. It is the number of your scars that determines your stars. I faced challenges with the students and even with the school but I won there. And now we are sending our proposal to Federal Ministry of Education, which I know has its own specially packaged challenges to feed on.

6. Excuses are the nails with which a loser builds his life, while reasons are the nails with which a winner (champion) builds his life:

I refused to give excuses for the past failure and my past predicament. I gave out my reasons why I must have a fulfilled destiny. I also refused to work for money but value. For value begets money. Money is a slave to value adding. I know if I keep on adding values to people’s lives I will be blessed in returns. This I believe I am doing to these students. It was in my inability to give excuses that I wrote the book “How to Employ Your Employer”. Men (people) should not give excuses but give reasons why they must succeed in life. The latter strengthens, while the former dissipates energy. I did not give excuses that there is no job in town or this or that, I was just right in the words of Denis Waitley… Stop Rationalizing get out of the chair and start doing. I started doing and I started teaching (LEDS) and ended up receiving 10 folds.

7. Be ready to throw yourself into a course but determine first on the inside who’s going to win… and that’s me:

You must know first in yourself that you are the determined winner. Choose the winner in your mind before you start running. With that “Zone” mentality you are bound to succeed. I succeed in introducing LEDS in two schools now, therefore I will succeed in introducing (LEDS) nationally and Internationally…. God helping me.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

All the ideas I have learnt in this book, I have started implementing them. My proposal to the Ministry of Education and moreso, the ideas I will also impart them to our teachers as we start recruitment for the subject- Leadership Development Studies. Most of these ideas are intertwined in most cases as I will be applying them in my daily work with people.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

1. “Keep training and gaining never complaining”. This I learn that for you not to complain, go and get yourself trained. I should keep training myself until I gained all I need to gain to avoid complaints from me and others.

2. “Achievements grow out of commitment”. As I am committed to my goal, then I will get the gold. It is the amount of commitment to something that determines my entitlement because what I am not committed to, I am not entitled to.

3. “The truth is, you can never win if your concept of success depends upon the perfect performance or the placing of a gold medal around your neck”. All there is about success is not all there is, success is impacting, bettering and influencing your world for good not for the gold or silver or anything, just plain improvement.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

I understand the book very clearly. I don’t have any disagreement with any of the ideas.

I have no comment about the book.

Real Magic
Assessment by Oladapo Oluwafemi Greatness (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

His main idea is that all we see in the physical world today in form of materials all came from the spiritual world which we are a part of. Therefore, seeing ourselves as spiritual being first experiencing physical experience, is what will produce in us, through us and from us the “real magic” which is the real Miracle we all want to see in our lives.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

1. When you are serious, seriousness will show up:

When you are serious, seriousness will appear: When a man is serious about his purpose, seriousness will also appear. What do I mean by this, you see man is a product of who he thinks he is. For example, when I wanted to write my first book (How to employ you employer) it looked impossible but I was ready because I know the purpose of the book. When I became serious, all the materials, people, resources I needed showed up since I had no computer at the time. But when I became serious, serious also appear and this explained also what I read from the book that “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I believe so strongly that there is no limitation for any man but every man is his own limitation.

2. Picture, create a mental image, describe in detail, do this several times and see if you can then manifest the vision in your physical world of anything you want in life

Picture, create a mental image, describe in detail and do this several times and see if you can then manifest the vision in your physical world. The time came that I wanted to publish the book but there was no enough money, it was well above N150,000. Then I remembered, I had read a book titled “Success through a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) in my 200 level and the power of your subconscious mind. There it was written “Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe his mind can achieve”. Then quietly, I made a print out of the designed cover page of the book from a computer centre, then I pasted it on my wall, I will see it the first thing in the morning and prayed and prophesied to it until I was soaked with the power of invisible intelligence (the Holy Ghost), this I repeated until the whole money was paid to publish the first 1000 copies of the book.

3. Be against nothing, but be for something.

People started discouraging me, but I was not against that because I was for my purpose – to launch the book. So long it was for my purpose, I was not perturbed a bit. Be against nothing, and then you will win everything. I won favour from God and men. I got the money for the launching venue and paid for it.

4. All the without, all emanates, originates and exists from within you:

I know who I am. The book I published all came from within, the money we got came from within and the venue we got all came from within. And the time also came to print out the invitation cards but we were short of funds. I needed just N7,000.00. Then I remembered, that S.B. Fuller in the book Success through a PMA also had similar problem and he prayed and he got the solution. Prayer is going within to get the without. Then I got help and I paid for the IVs.

5. Be silent in your soul and get answer to the question of your heart… law of meditation: Then I meditated on scriptures because that’s where I receive my greatest inspirations – from the bible. I will meditate and meditate until I got a solution on how to raise money for my book project. I made a partnership letter by writing “We need just 400 people to give us N1,000.00 each”. I got this in my hour of meditation and in fact this partnership letter worked for a while, then I knew when to stop and look out for other ways of how the money could be raised. If I was not silent in my soul I would not get solution per time. Be silent in your soul and God will speak to you spirit in the hour of meditation.

6. What you can conceive of as a picture in your mind, you can create in the physical world, provided you do not let do the picture. The more you know this, the more you will see it manifesting in your life. First see it in your mind eyes. The force to produce that picture will be produced from within you. That was exactly what happened to me. I had it all played out in my mind, finished it first in my mind, then the force within me produced the book that the whole world is now rejoicing about. I did not let go of that picture, I saw the launching beforehand, and I was already basking in its glory long before the book showed up physically.

7. You don’t live your life from outside in; you live it from Inside out: I did not allow my outside world dictate the circumstance of my life; rather I compelled and conditioned my environment to produce the best for me. Michael, you know I told you around September that I will launch my first book on the 14th October, 2010. I am glad today that that word came to pass on that same day, because the book “How to Employ your Employer” was launched on 14th October, 2010 my birthday date to mark the end of my first silver jubilee on the face of the earth and then launching me to the next silver jubilee that is my golden jubilee. I would not mind to send you a copy of the book and please how will you get it. IIGL is doing wonder in Nigeria especially in my life. As I read those first two books Jonathan Seagull and As a man thinketh …. I could not think of any impossibility, the muscle of my faith expanded and grew to the point that I was so enraptured inside the clothe of possibility, those books came at the time I needed them the most and in fact including the one I am writing its assessments – Real Magic. Thanks to all donors. God bless you – You are changing lives in Africa especially in Nigeria.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

Our organization which we started this year “HOT-EYE GLOBAL COMPANY”, is introducing a curriculum in Leadership Development Studies in year 2012 academic session in secondary schools for now. But the idea came also for Leadership reality TV schools for students. And more importantly, we will be recruiting teachers for this subject first, before showcasing the curriculum to schools proprietors/proprietress or even the government. We also intend using the ideas gotten from IIGL to teach our proprietors/proprietress the essence of education. We have already secured our office in a very serene and conducive environment. I can assure you that all the ideas I am getting from these books are not in vain, we will teach these ideas to generations of men by God’s grace. By next year January 2011 we are planning for Leadership Quiz Competition round our schools. These are just the few things I can say about what I am doing and will still be doing with these ideas.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

There are so many quotes I have marked, they are so enormous. These are some of them;

(1) When the student is ready, the teacher will appear: When I am ready to do anything for the good of others, those that will help me will appear even “things” that will be used also will appear.

(2) “When you are on purpose, doing what you know you are here for, and forgetting about what will come into your life in the way of money and wealth, then money and wealth arrive in your life in amounts sufficient to provide you with a life of prosperity”. This tells me that the purpose I follow after will create for me wealth and money for my life, so I should not follow after money or wealth but purpose. All things in the world are purpose driven (crazy) only men made them seem (all) important but the “things” in themselves know that they are not as important as the men who made them and the men who possess them. Man of purpose gets all things gravitated towards them like a magnet. “Things” are crying at hello, I need men who are purpose driven to use me, I want to get rid of myself from the hands of the greedy.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

I understand the book very clearly. I only disagree with the concept of making contact with the spirit of the dead he was talking about in page 59-60, may be it was not clearly stated, is it that I will be talking to the dead and they will be talking back to me in my dream? I don’t understand. But sincerely I disagree with that motion of trying to make contact with that notion of trying to make contact with the dead one because my bible did not say so and in fact my bible says – we shall not all see death (physical death) before Christ appears. This is the only one I stand to believe in from my bible.

I found it very difficult to write my assessment (not because I don’t want to) but because I became engrossed in my daily practicing of the ideas, for weeks REAL MAGIC became my companion, I read it in the bus, in the toilet and everywhere, now I have transferred it to one of my friend to read. For the above reasons, the book is very enlightening; therefore no further comment to be made about the book.
