Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
I envision a world where every individual has access to education, safety, and opportunities to thrive, regardless of their origin or circumstances. A world that works for everyone values human dignity, promotes equity, and fosters cooperation across nations to address global challenges. It is a world where policies are guided by empathy, sustainability, and respect for human rights, ensuring that no one is left behind.
What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
One of the most pressing problems today is the deepening inequality that fuels forced displacement and limits access to basic rights for millions worldwide. As someone engaged in international relations and refugee protection, I see how conflicts, environmental degradation, and climate change intersect, forcing vulnerable communities to flee without sustainable solutions. Additionally, the erosion of multilateral cooperation undermines effective responses to crises, while youth face unemployment and a lack of meaningful participation in decision-making. Addressing these challenges requires inclusive policies rooted in human dignity, investment in education and youth leadership, and a renewed commitment to multilateralism to build resilient, peaceful, and sustainable societies for all.
How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
These problems require renewed commitment to multilateralism and inclusive governance that prioritizes human dignity. Strengthening international cooperation is essential to address forced displacement through durable solutions, conflict prevention, and climate action. Investing in quality education and youth leadership will empower young people to contribute actively to building resilient societies. It is also crucial to promote policies that address inequality, ensuring access to basic rights and opportunities for all, regardless of origin or status. Sustainable solutions must center community participation, gender equality, and partnerships between governments, civil society, and international organizations to create a world where peace, justice, and sustainability are shared realities.
Profile
I am a Moroccan scholar and practitioner deeply committed to contributing to a more just, inclusive, and peaceful world through leadership grounded in empathy, accountability, and a commitment to human dignity. My academic and professional journey has been guided by a profound interest in international relations, humanitarian action, and the transformative power of education and leadership in addressing complex global challenges.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Contemporary International Relations at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fès, where I am focusing on multilateral cooperation and its role in addressing forced displacement and global inequalities. This research reflects my conviction that solutions to the pressing issues facing our world require strong, collaborative approaches that bridge policy and field realities. Prior to this, I completed a Master’s degree in International Administration and Partnership Management at Mohammed V University in Rabat, a program that strengthened my understanding of institutional frameworks, partnership building, and the importance of strategic, inclusive management in development and humanitarian settings.
My academic background is complemented by practical field experience, notably with UNHCR Morocco, where I worked in refugee case management, supporting individuals through registration processes, community coordination, and reintegration efforts. This experience exposed me directly to the resilience of displaced individuals and the systemic barriers they face. It reinforced my commitment to working in spaces where policy meets lived experience, advocating for solutions that respect human rights while ensuring practical, sustainable support for those in need.
Being trilingual in Arabic, French, and English has allowed me to navigate diverse cultural and institutional environments with sensitivity and adaptability. I have been involved in organizing scientific events and contributing to the life of my research laboratory, where I have honed my skills in coordination, public speaking, and collaborative work. Additionally, I have pursued certifications related to international law, humanitarian principles, and sustainable development, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning and my readiness to apply these frameworks to real-world contexts.
What drives me deeply is the belief that leadership is not only about positions but about the ability to inspire, to build trust, and to contribute to collective efforts that improve lives. Throughout my journey, I have been guided by a commitment to empathy and integrity, recognizing that effective leadership requires listening, humility, and a willingness to adapt. My long-term goal is to contribute to international organizations or policy research centers working on displacement, youth empowerment, and climate resilience, bringing together evidence-based research and field experience to shape impactful, human-centered policies.
Participating in the Global Leadership program would be a transformative opportunity for me to refine my leadership skills, learn from a diverse community of aspiring changemakers, and gain practical tools to enhance my contribution to my community and the world. I believe that addressing global challenges requires young leaders who are not only knowledgeable but also committed to ethical action, inclusive dialogue, and sustainable solutions. Through this program, I hope to deepen my capacity to engage effectively in diverse teams, navigate complex global issues with cultural sensitivity, and co-create innovative initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals and the values of justice and dignity.
Outside of my academic and professional work, I am passionate about reading, exploring new perspectives, and engaging in discussions that challenge assumptions and expand understanding. I value building meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds and believe strongly in the power of dialogue in fostering mutual respect and collaboration.
In summary, I see myself as a dedicated, empathetic, and curious young leader, eager to contribute to a world that prioritizes human dignity, sustainability, and peace. The Global Leadership program aligns perfectly with my aspirations to grow as a leader and to actively participate in shaping solutions that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
