A New Model Of Funding
IIGL isn’t your ordinary non-profit organization. Most of our supporters are – in one way or another – at the very leading edge of the movement toward a new consciousness. They are people who think and often live ‘outside the box.’ Part of their draw to IIGL is because our work and our curriculum models new possibilities for leadership and planetary transformation.
It only stands to reason then that our other areas of endeavor, such as fund raising, should also step outside of the box and model new ways of being. We have done this with two previous initiatives in ’07 & ’08 and with the current initiative which we have just launched.
Master Mind Group
The first was the creation of a ‘master mind’ group as described in Napoleon Hill’ book, “Keys to Success,” in Level One studies. In his life-long research as to what made people successful, Hill found that having a Master Mind group was one of the key ingredients. Masterminding involves bringing people together with different experiences and ideas to collaborate, brainstorm, and provide support to help the participants achieve their goals. In his books, Hill offers Henry Ford as one of the best examples of a person who used the master mind principle to create success.
We had excellent results from our Master Mind experiment which we initiated in January ’07. We had a dozen students and contributors who volunteered to be a part of the group. Because we were scattered all over the world, we couldn’t meet regularly as the conventional MM groups do. So we each committed ourselves to holding the daily vision of IIGL being fully funded for the year. During the first three months we had many pleasant and sometimes exciting surprises, and by the end of May we had successfully manifested the necessary funding for the balance of the year.
22 Experiment
The second idea which we implemented in January ’08, was the ’22 Experiment.” This experiment was based on the ancient science of numerology which developed in Mesopotamia more than 3,000 years ago and was later refined by classical Hebrew scholars. Some have also attributed it to Pythagoras, the father of mathematics. It is a system of giving qualitative value to letters of the alphabet & numbers which represents the underlying energetic patterns with certain qualities and attributes. According to numerology there are several master numbers, one of which is 22, which is known as the “Master Builder.” Its attributes include:
-
Courage, leadership, force and hard work.
-
Far-sighted, intuitive, ahead of it’s time and interested in anything new or visionary.
-
High idealism, wanting the best for the world because it sees the best the world has to offer.
-
The ability to perceive something great in the archetypal world and manifesting it in the 3D.
-
The ability to bring together people, ideas & resources toward the realization of goals.
That seemed in perfect alignment with the principles and values of IIGL so this was chosen as our number to work with. With this as our guide-star, we began building a team of donors who were each contributing $22 per month. Soon we had built a team of 22 contributors and this became an energetic foundation and what we believe is the cornerstone for creating a solid base for much greater support. We realize that the actual income from this is minimal in relation to our overall budget but one of our intentions here is to create a new model of financing, beginning at the energetic level. Having said that, it is also good to know that each $22 will cover the cost of one book and shipping and, as we know, one book can be the key for totally transforming a persons life and thinking.
Dream Team 22
As we begin 2009 we are launching a new idea which blends the two previous concepts. We are calling it The Dream Team 22. We understand that money is energy and that to sustain and build IIGL we need a lot of people pouring their energy into this endeavor on a regular basis. We also know that not everyone can afford to commit $22 a month – especially our students, who live in countries with economies in which this amount can be equal to a weeks salary. So we are suggesting two options for those who wish to become a part of the Dream Team. One can commit to a $22 a month contribution or to spending 22 seconds each day holding the vision of IIGL receiving abundant support and being fully funded. For the later we have a few visuals that can be used as aids. These will be sent to those who commit to being a part of the Dream Team.
A Special Opportunity
Is there someone who had a major impact on your life, such as parent, grandparent, favorite aunt or uncle or other loved one? You can honor this person with a living memorial by contributing in his or her name. What better way to memorialize a loved one than with an ongoing gift in their name? There name will be included in our monthly list of contributors.
Our Goal is 220
Will you join the Dream Team and help us create an energetic foundation to support the transformational work of IIGL? Our goal is to have a team of 220 people who are really committed to making a difference in the world by making this modest regular contribution. Below is a membership form which you can complete and submit to become a part of the Dream Team.
If you are still undecided, read these brief comments from students as to how this program has changed their lives: Lives Changed

Change You Can Really Believe In
Referring to the one of the campaign themes in the 2008 US presidential election, one of our contributors recently made the comment that IIGL was creating the kind of change that she could really believe in. When I asked her why she felt this way, here is what she had this to say:
“I’m a working woman with a modest income but I believe that money is energy that needs to flow. While most of that flow goes to paying my monthly bills, I am careful to set aside a certain percentage each month to support various causes that are dedicated to making this a better world.
I work full time and also have a family, so I don’t have much volunteer time to give. But I can and do share a portion of my modest income with projects like IIGL that are dedicated to positive planetary transformation.
The two things that have put IIGL at the top of my personal support list are the student testimonials that I have read – which show me in a very concrete way exactly what my monthly contribution is accomplishing – and the fact that you are one of the few organizations that have your detailed annual financial statement posted on your website. Not only is it good to see how my donation is being spent, but more importantly it represents a rare combination of transparency and integrity that pushes IIGL to the top of my list.
While I realize that my $22 a month contribution is a tiny drop in the bucket in relation to IIGL’s monthly expenses, I also know that buckets are filled one drop at a time and I enthusiastically support the building of this “Dream Team 22.
More importantly, from my understanding of how energy works, I believe that my own financial well being is directly related to my giving. It is said that ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive’ and this has certainly been my experience. When I read about the personal transformatios that the IIGL students are experiencing as a result of their studies – and know that I am a part of this effort, I am truly blest.
If you aren’t currently contributing to something monthly that makes a positive difference in the world – or if you are contributing but could afford a bit more – I would urge you to consider IIGL as one of your pet projects. To quote another recent campaign theme – when it comes to making a positive difference in the world – YES WE CAN!”
