Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
The world that works for everyone is a world whereby all people are treated equally irrespective of their financial status, social background, and race it will be good if we treat all people equally since we are all Gods creation, our blood is red be it you are black, blue, yellow nobody has a blue blood unless it is a medical issue but all of us we have red blood and we breath same area irrespective of where we live area.
What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
The pressing problem we have today in the world is corruption, this is a killer disease that destroy the economy of a country, we have seen people die because of corruption someone was given a tender to build hospital for the sick but takes all the money to his account ling people die no medicine no good medical facilities because someone misused the funds, our roads are in bad situation causing accidents all over the world, not because drivers are careless but because the conditions of the roads are worse and in that process the accidents do occurs, we have had cases where houses have killed people due to poor construction, you find that people have been given money to approve poor construction plans and at the end it cause peoples lives, people are taxed but the money is not used in a proper way to help and improve the society, unqualified people have been given jobs living qualified people jobless at the end no good work is done, simply because you know someone you will get a job even if you are less qualified.
How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
Corruption should be treated as a treat to the world, people who are corrupt should be given strong punishment and not be allowed to work in any government office, they should be barred from any political positions and should be monitored and taken to a rehabilitation centre, in the current society people tend to escape from being taken to task for being corrupt by bribing their way to political cycle, they get into government and change the laws on how to deal with corruption issues, someone steals ten million and he is fined a half a million he pays and he is free to use the other remaining loot and that doesn’t make sense. Once heavy measures are taken then we will have a free corruption world.
Profile
I am Kisilu Kalu from Machakos county born and raised to a family of Mzee Kalu and Mama Hellen, I am the third born in a family of six, three boys and three girls. I am married to one wife and have three children. I hold a diploma in sales and marketing I have worked in various companies including private companies as a sales manager and gained enough experience that made me to start my own business. I have a registered company of automotive spare parts that I have employed six employees.
After gaining my experience I decided to start my small business of selling spare parts. I had to do marketing by myself until I had to teach and give skills to my young people who assisted me in marketing. I eventually employed them and this is the 15th year in my self employed job. I encourage young people to consider self employment since employment is an issue in our country starting your own employment will create jobs to many people who are unemployed.
I could like to participate in this program in order to increase my skills and have good relationship in the society also it will help me know how to solve conflict when it happens and what skills to use, in leadership it will help me empower other young youths to understand the good way of governance and taking responsibilities in our society.
