global-leadership.com called \u201cReturn to the Garden;\u201d it features IIGL key contributors who have passed away over the past 12 years.\u00a0 I would like to share a short introduction of each one of them because each of them played a critical role in the formation and continued development of IIGL:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Helen Baker (USA\/SC) who passed in 2012 was the first IIGL Board Secretary.\u00a0 I recall Helen purchasing a printer for Michael as one of her first IIGL donations!\u00a0 She was a very active Mentor, Contributor and was influential in helping IIGL receive accreditation as a nonprofit!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gillian Kean (England) passed suddenly in 2013 and was an IIGL Board Vice President and Contributor.\u00a0 Gillian was a citizen of the World and had many connections globally!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She was very involved in Middle East peace efforts and had a special interest in Bosnia.\u00a0 Gillian was part of the original IIGL vision council.\u00a0 She was often sent on \u201cassignments\u201d to facilitate World Peace!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Julie Loosbrock (USA\/WI) passed in 2016 and was a key IIGL Mentor and Contributor.\u00a0 As part of her legacy she donated an endowment which is still being utilized in a long term savings account.\u00a0 Julie loved mentoring and found great joy in coaching many of our IIGL graduates and current Board leaders including Charles Kabera (Rwanda) and Lynda Eze (Nigeria\/USA).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Corine Wilson (USA\/FL) passed in 2017 and was our first IIGL Board President.\u00a0 Corine was also a Mentor, Contributor and part of the Vision Council.\u00a0 She was actively involved with many human rights organizations especially those focused on African American equality.\u00a0 When Corine spoke, everyone listened!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lynne Murguia (USA\/AZ) passed in 2022 and served as IIGL Treasurer and Finance Committee chair for many years.\u00a0 She was the top IIGL Contributor and also mentored many students.\u00a0 If it wasn\u2019t for Lynne\u2019s dedication and financial contributions; After finishing my college I couldn&#8217;t get a job and I decided that I have to do something. I started selling ground nuts on the streets and coffee.\u00a0 It was a moving business especially during cold weather and in the evening, I had to have the spirit of saving. I had enough money that made me start a small hotel selling same coffees, mandazi, groundnut and main food.\u00a0 I had a good relationship with my clients and fortunately one of my clients became my wife.
