USA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Guest Editorial<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Peace is the Way<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Aloys Hakizimana (Rwanda)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Aloahak@yahoo.com<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The objective of this book is well pr\u00e9cised by the author at the beginning of his book in the following terms: \u201cto erase the groove of reacting by war, that has been worn in our minds and substituting it by a new way to respond when we are afraid or angry or even when we are not.\u201d The new way which is the way of peace \u201ccan end suffering and oppression, not by warring against an enemy but by bearing witness to wrong and by allowing sympathy and common humanity to do their patient work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Deepak Chopra, the author of \u201cPeace is the way\u201d thinks that the worst enemy of peace is not evil as people could think, but chaos. As defined by the dictionaries, chaos is \u201ca state of total confusion with no order.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When you couple politics with ideology, you notice that politicians are ready to sacrifice human lives for safeguarding their positions. In Africa, we assist to various tensions between ethnic or supposed ethnic groups, not because these groups have problems between them, but because there are politicians behind them, pushing people to enter into conflicts for profiting the disorder and chaos for accessing to power. In the majority of cases, these politicians use young people who are not mature enough to understand the hidden agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are many ideas that need to be commented on, but as I said before, they are all converging on the necessity of creating peace around us. This the reason why I recommend everyone to become a peacemaker by respecting the peace week program stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sunday: Being for peace by taking five minutes to meditate for peace<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Monday: Thinking for peace by introducing the intention of peace in your thoughts<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tuesday: Feeling for peace by experiencing the emotions of peace (compassion, understanding and love)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wednesday: Speaking for peace by telling someone how much you appreciate him\/her, expressing genuine gratitude, offering healing or nurturing words to someone who needs them and showing respect to someone whose respect you value<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thursday: Acting for peace by helping someone in need<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Friday: Creating for peace by coming up with at least one creative idea to resolve a conflict<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Saturday: Sharing for peace by sharing your practice of peacemaking with two people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I am trying to follow this calendar and I notice that it is very fruitful. I have lived this life and have seen that everything is<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> actually possible to him that believes. I never believed I can meaningfully contribute to the world I lived in, until I discovered the potential which am made up of (that was after reading Psychocybernetics).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I love reading and in the year 2008, I wrote twobooks; \u201cYour Integrity\u201d and \u201cThe Sacrifice for the Kingdom.\u201d I could not publish those books due to the resources and lack of experience. But I just believed I could be able to pour out my mind&#8217;s contents for the betterment of the world and now I am about making my first Publication, (The Power Within). As I joined IIGL, I could see my life in a new light. Upon joining IIGL, I actually developed the following qualities; Cooperativeness, with which I was able to partner with a friend and formed an online printing business nton.qom.Dg. Courage with which I was able to write my latest book \u201cThe Power Within.\u201d Enhancing the power of failure with which I was able stand firm in the days of trouble and at the times I failed, and currently working in a book (In the days of my loneliness). I know that I am not who I use to be, my life have been affected by the life of great men I studied about, men who took the stand and fought the fight, some lost their lives but they are not gone, because they live in me forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>What Our Students Are Reading<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Black Swan (2nd Edition) By: Nassim Nicholas Taleb $9.78<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A black swan is an event, positive or negative, that is deemed improbable yet causes massive consequences. The YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa, located at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya serves 14 countries in East and Central Africa: Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
