Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A world that works for everyone is a world all people are given equal opportunity irrespective of their gender, educational background, color, race but you are respected no matter where you come from, we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord, so we do not need to discriminate each and everyone, irrespective of their conditions, the world is a small global village nowadays, people have intermarried, moved from one country to another and accepting one another without caring where he comes from or the skin color, once we embrace one another then we will have a world that respect human race.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Unemployment, in the world we are today most of the youth all over the world are not employed simply because we have been brought up, in away that young people cannot create jobs but wait to be employed and since creation of the job, is the key to create employment, so we need to enlighten our young people to know how to create jobs and especially, this jobs that people do not like, skills jobs like tailoring and dress making, masonry, mechanic let’s enlighten our young people that those jobs are not for illiterate but good job like any other job.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you feel these problems could best be solved? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This problem can be solved by making our young people be innovative, and start their own company, and employ others, let’s encourage our youths that doing manual jobs is not a sign of failure, we need to be more of innovator’s than waiting for white collar jobs, we can increase more industries for skilled and non skilled labor, we also embark on agriculture do farming, raise animals this will not only create jobs but also make people have enough food.<\/span><\/p>\n

Profile <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Shem Manoti Nyakundi, born and raised in Kisii hills, I am a third born in a family of six, 2 girls and 4 boys, coming from a humble background, even going to school was an issue.\u00a0 We could not afford school fees, my parents had to struggle to make both ends meet, being peasant farmers with limited resources we had to help them in farm work, they had planted coffee and tea, every morning we could pluck coffee before going to school and tea.\u00a0 We had different days of doing the job; there was a day for coffee and a day for tea. After finishing my college I couldn’t get a job and I decided that I have to do something. I started selling ground nuts on the streets and coffee.\u00a0 It was a moving business especially during cold weather and in the evening, I had to have the spirit of saving. I had enough money that made me start a small hotel selling same coffees, mandazi, groundnut and main food. \u00a0I had a good relationship with my clients and fortunately one of my clients became my wife. I knew her through my business and she could volunteer on serving clients and the rest is history we are blessed with three children.<\/span><\/p>\n

I could like to participate in this program, to add my skills and experience of leadership, in today life everything calls for leadership be it at home, at work place and even in our society, so by enrolling in this course it will be more helpful to me and to the people who I interact with, so I am very much ready to take what it takes to study add when I will be allowed in the program.<\/span><\/p>\n
