A Personal Message

Every morning and evening I give gratitude for many various things! The past month IIGL being an online education program is at the top of my list! As I watch businesses, nonprofits, public and private schools including universities temporarily close or go online IIGL continues as it always has! Thank you Michael and the original advisory committee who agreed to co-create IIGL as an online Institute! To the students especially in Africa, thank you for your kind emails inquiring about my health and the health of my family members.

Everyone is safe and feeling well! Thank you for keeping the vision for IIGL to continue for us and greater humanity. Prayers for those who are feeling less then great for various reasons! May this transformative experience continue to teach us and inspire us to new heights of leadership and learning. Thank you again for the positive thoughts for IIGL and the continuation of our mission which is now more important then ever!

I recently received an email that included some important questions to ponder during this time and I wanted to share:

Is it possible that we are being guided to re-evaluate how we have been living on our Earth and with each other, and how we want to go forward now on our Planet? That perhaps we are meant to have this deep time to reflect on our sacred relationship with our self, with each other, with our Mother Earth, and All Life, that we may live sustainably and in harmony and balance once more?

Is it possible that all we are experiencing as a human family on the Earth right now is a profound gift designed to bring us into deeper communion with our Soul and our common “humanity?”

How can we wisely use this time now to heal and restore ourselves, to build our immune systems, to work through our fears and traumas, to raise our frequency, and to assist others in need?

How can we serve and support those beings that are on the front lines right now, in the groceries stores, in the hospitals, in the nursing homes, caring for the sick, for the elderly, for the children, and those tending the Earth, growing and bringing us food and all the resources we need? How can we truly support these ones now?

How can we rise up together in this time of profound need and Global Transformation as One Planet, One Humanity?

Late last month, the IIGL Board of Directors met on our monthly call. We discussed now more then ever sharing IIGL with others who may have extra time or are looking for a new leadership development opportunity. Now’s the time, refer IIGL to friends and family near and far who are looking for a new beginning!

May all of us continue to prosper and lead the way in these unchartered times!

What Others Are Saying

Kathleen Oweegon (USA)
oweegon@bridgesofpeace.com
I have followed IIGL’s work for over 14 years, and am continuously impressed by the organization and its students! This is a non-profit that is truly making a positive impact in the world! By offering a Tuition-Free education in conscious, skillful, high-integrity leadership, IIGL is providing emerging leaders in under-developed (and developed) countries around the world the opportunity to learn new and powerful ways to lead their constituencies, communities and perhaps one day their countries and the world into a better, more harmonious, thriving way of being one that will create a better tomorrow for us all!

Projects that IIGL’s graduates have created in their communities include:
• skill-building for at-risk youth (International Centre for Leadership Development, Nigeria),
• a farm that teaches community members to grow their own sustainable crops and offers micro-loans to help them set up their own small business to sell their crops (Springboard, Nigeria),
• a program that empowers “out of school” youth ages 16-25 in urban slums to turn their passions into sustainable careers by learning job skills (Kyusa, Uganda)
and many more.

Go to: http://global-leadership.com/index.php/student-graduate-websites/ to learn more about these and other graduate projects.

Kathleen also recently shared this Prayer:

Bodhisattva Prayer for Humanity
“May I be a guard for those who need protection,
a guide for those on the path,
a boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood.
May I be a lamp in the darkness,
a resting place for the weary,
a healing medicine for all who are sick,
a vase of plenty, a tree of miracles.
And for the boundless multitudes of living beings,
may I bring sustenance and awakening,
enduring like the earth and sky,
until all beings are freed from sorrow,
and all are awakened.”

(Kathleen is the current IIGL Corresponding Secretary and a long term Mentor and Contributor).

Springboard Continues to Lead the Way
Congratulations to IIGL Graduate and Springboard Founder Afere Lawrence (Nigeria) Lawrence@springboardnig.com and the Springboard community for continuing to lead the way! He recently shared, “through our farmers’ cooperative movement, we ensure cocoa farmers benefit more from the value chain. This enables them take good care of their family, send their kids to school and expand their farm!” This photo is an example of the new generation farmers raised at Springboard under the Farm to School project. Helping teenagers develop interest in Agribusiness!

The Global Meditation Movements’ (GMM) Mission is to reawaken and to interconnect humanities consciousness via regular synchronized Global Meditation. By increasing the personal and the global heart coherence of humanity we are spreading positive healing energies all over the planet which is also confirmed by today’s science. GMM is sharing & teaching the Holistic Science of Life, Human Energy Management, Life Philosophies, Nature Studies, Meditation and Self-Healing in a scientific and very smart and easy way in Kindergarten, Schools, Public Facilities, Spiritual Groups and to Individuals. Together we are creating Light Centers all over the Planet which are nature based Sacred Geometrical Structures with a natural healing effect for Visitors and as well for Mother Earth. They are combining & uniting Kindergarten with Rest Homes, Schools, Universities, Healing Centers and animal parks, based on sustainable Agriculture and renewable energies. In this new form of worldwide Society every human, every animal and living being will be part of the Spiritual Family in which values such as Fairness, Ahimsa (Non-Violence), Equality, Charity, Peace and Harmony will easily replace todays’ complex laws and regulations. Make A Difference
Dream Team 22
Please join Dream Team 22 as our goal is to have 220 people contributing $22 per month. We understand that money is energy and that to sustain and build IIGL we need a lot of people pouring their energy into this endeavor on a regular basis. We also know that not everyone can afford to commit $22 a month – especially our students, who live in countries with economies in which this amount can be equal to a weeks’ salary. So we are offering two options for those who wish to become a part of the Dream Team. One can commit to a $22 a month contribution or to spending 22 seconds each day holding the vision of IIGL becoming financially sustainable by the end of 2018.

Will you join the Dream Team and help us create an energetic foundation to support the transformational work of IIGL? You can really make a difference in the world by making a modest contribution of time or money. To make the $22 a month commitment or a one time donation, click the link below. To become a member of the Dream Team 22 by committing 22 second a day to help us hold the vision, contact Deb for details: drosen2@wi.rr.com
