What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?

Leadership around the World.

How do you feel these problems could best be solved?

By growing young leaders who can influence the world positively.

Profile

I was born in the ancient town of Igboho, Oyo State, South-West Nigeria in October, 1976. I had my elementary and secondary education in my home town before proceeding to the University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria, where I obtained a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I am a graduate of the Cisco Systems Networking Academy. I am a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) and currently undertaking my Post graduate studies at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) I have close to a decade working experience in the ICT/Telecoms sector of the Nigerian economic space. As a network administrator, I have involved in some notable projects and ICT deployments, few of which are: (1) installation and management of Ku and C-band VSAT in various government and corporate offices in Nigeria, for internet and satellite communication, (2) design, deployment and integration of networks, routers, soft-switches, servers and backhauls for VoIP termination, (3) deployment of fiber optic backbone transmission infrastructure for voice and data interconnectivity as well as expansion and penetration into unserved and underserved areas of Nigeria, and many more.

I have great love for humanitarian services, politics, leadership, human capital development and community development. My philosophy of life simply is that once we all are happy, we will leave in a peaceful world. I always cannot condone illegality, oppression, disorderliness and all other forms of inhuman behaviors. I see me naturally motivating people to improve on themselves and meet their set goals.

I love reading the Quran, political and motivational books as well as biographies. I am mostly inspired by the story of Nelson Mandela and his fight against the Apartheid regime. I involve in any engagement that brings peace and peaceful co-existence and mutual respect as well as strengthening democratic norm and culture. As a student I did a lot of students' activism and I occupied a seat as a parliament member in the university. I also presided over other students associations and clubs. I have attended series of seminars and conferences on leadership, capacity building, public speaking and social enterprise. I believe that in investing in education and in empowering the youth, this generation has all it takes to take humanity out of the wilderness of bad leadership, poverty, environmental degradation and all other ills confronting humanity.

In 2013, I co-convened the 1000-Man Peace Walk in my native town of Igboho. In 2014, I emerged as the best speaker in the GOTNI Annual Emerging Leaders' Conference (ELC) and in 2015, I aspired to occupy my constituency's seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, South-West Nigeria.

I am a member of the Toastmasters International, with great flare for leadership development and public speaking. A member of Nigerian Computer Society and a member of the #BringBackOurGirls advocacy group. Happily married with kids. I look forward to a generation that will clear up the leadership deficit that we experience in Nigeria in particular and across the globe generally. This is the mark I desire to leave behind even when one day I am no more.
