I think we have many countries today at war fighting against each other on issues that could easily be resolved through dialogue. Pressing issues on world peace is the talk on the media. We see the crisis in Iraq, Israel and Sudan just to name a few and in such wars children and women suffer the most as they are forced to quit their homes and some die in the course of these wars. Most of these conflicts today especially in Africa are as a result of the political greed our leaders have. They don’t want to give up their positions and would do all what it takes to stay in power. Some have even modified constitutions just to remain in power. What a shame? If our world leaders could think just for a second on the damage they are causing to world peace with lives lost of daily basis, then I think it will be a great step in making our world a better place and this begins with us the youths

How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
Dialogue is the key to enhancing world peace. I think it’s high time our leaders see that Peace is the essential tool for the economic, social and political growth in a country. I think we the youths have got a great role to play in this fight though it’s a challenge we must win. We youths have to be educated on what it takes to create a peaceful world. We have got to take leadership positions in our youth groups, communities and let others see the impact we are making in our different fields of interest. With such an endeavor from the youths, we will not only be showing a good example for those behind us nurturing them to come up in that same spirit, but contributing in sustaining world peace

Profile
I am African coming from a country in West Africa called Cameroon often known as “Africa in miniature”. I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist by profession and later worked with a Malaria Research Institute on a WHO sponsored project. After that I came to the USA and presently in my 2nd years of my Master degree. I just earned an online Masters degree in Public health and a Diploma on Nutritional and Health Sciences from Corlins University. Presently I am taking another diploma course in Human and Social services from the same universities. I am also taking some Public Health Courses. I attended the 5th Global International Conference on Human Rights organized by UNESCO in Storrs Connecticut last August 2009 during which we discussed a lot on issues hindering peace in the world. I just came back from attending the 2nd Global International Conference on the theme “Investing in Women for It Pays” in Washington DC organized by Women Deliver where UN agencies, First ladies, parliamentarians, Ministers and NGOs discussed on issues affecting infant and maternal health. I was a member of the Rotaract club in my school. I love listening to gospel songs as they make my heart peaceful through their wordings. I love making new friends too. All said and done, what other gift can we give our world to make children who are helpless smile and make their dreams come true someday.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”flipInX”]Click Here to read My Book Assessments

Books Completed:

As A Man Thinketh
Jonathan Livingston Seagull[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”flipInX”]Cameroon / USA Joannes Paulus Yimbesalu Email: jyimbesalu@yahoo.com Birthday: 1st Nov 1987 Education: Masters Student Occupation: Student Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
