Over the course of many life experiences, not all of which were pleasant, I came to understand the power of our beliefs, thoughts and attitude in molding and creating our reality and experiences in life. I was fortunate to begin to understand this when I was in my mid 30's. It has been a slow journey that took me from being a victim of the circumstances of life to the master and creator of those circumstances. In the course of that journey I found that happiness in life is not something that is 'found.' It is something that is created and the tools for creating it are our thoughts, beliefs and attitude. I also learned that success isn't a matter of luck. There is a clear system for creating success in any area of life and that, once again, the tools are our thoughts, beliefs and attitude. This is the single greatest lesson I have learned in life. I have maintained a lifelong zeal for creating a world of peace, justice, harmony and brotherhood. And out of this I have looked deeply into discovering what is the "bottom line" in bringing about such a world. From this I have come to see that authentic and fundamental change in the world really requires a profound change of human consciousness. The great wisdom keepers of the ages have always understood this; hence the old adage "As A Man Thinketh, So Is He." The Leadership Institute is only a "drop in the bucket," but it is a move in the right direction. Providing today's emerging leaders with access to the principles of consciousness transformation will ultimately have a long-term positive effect on the world. One person, who believes in himself or herself and our human potential for greatness, and who is willing to step out on faith, can change the world.
